How different are you online compared to in the real world? Not asking for personal details or anything, just speaking generally here.
In real life I have a pretty dark SUPER dry sense of humour, real deadpan straight face sort of stuff. I rely on that humour a lot in social situations because usually I just don't know what people want to hear. I hold an assumption that people generally don't like me but it doesn't bother me too much.
Online I tend to dial back that style of humour a bit because it's even easier to misunderstand than it normally is, so I only really relax on that front with people who I know will get it. Particularly with our PTA players I try to just be friendly, supportive and approachable because I think being that sort of GM is more important to the RP and our players than me goofing around.
So, how about you?

I have a huge superiority complex in real life. Besides that, I'm not really that different - for people who know me in Discord (not a lot, really), I'm always saying weird things and doing jokes. Nonstop. People seem to enjoy that.

I'm more or less the same. I'm less comfortable with people outside of familiar places but there's no significant difference I don't think.

Nice thread! I think I'm pretty similar online and IRL. A big difference is how I come off as, or so people have told me. I am a joker at heart, incredibly facetious and I often touch controversy with humour with little regard for what people may think about it and thus, it's a big hard sometimes to tell if I'm joking or I'm just a mean asshole.
That is super easy to tell IRL, you can tell by my expressions and general body language that I'm joking, but online it's not that easy and people tend to assume I'm the person I joke about being.

Sounds familiar! Online humour can be difficult to gauge, and I actually studied comedy and laughter theory for a while academically. We use body language and tone to interpret peoples meaning far more than we use the words they say, so with just text it can be hard to read intent.

I like to believe that I'm not that different offline and online. I'm a very gullible, sensitive, soft-spoken individual who sometimes may try too hard to initiate a conversation. My jokes are horrid, I am easy to amuse, apparently an open-book, and given the opportunity may talk someone's ear off.
I can at least say I'm far less social online than off.

I only exist online, so I don't have an answer for you.
I'd say IRL, I am not that different.

I think I'm pretty similar, but maybe more confident IRL than online.

I think I'm mostly the same. There are some things I keep separate between online and IRL, just because of the different interests in the groups. I'm still a weirdo offline, but I think I'm able to be more forward with a lot of it and can display a bit more confidence online.

A big difference I think is that I am a lot less confident/outgoing in rl than I am online.

I pretty much invented Nero and my other infinitely ever-changing usernames so that I could be a totally different person online, lifestyle wise. IRL I laugh at basically anything and am pretty outwardly upbeat and outgoing, I'm very extroverted, constantly hanging out and doing dumb crap with my friends. As Nero I get to just chill, and while a lot of my personality definitely seeps in, I'm more inclined to just sit and the back of the crowd and not draw a whole lot of attention to myself. I don't make as much of a connection to people online as I do IRL and I like to remain very anonymous, so I'm fairly no-strings-attached, and I also nerd out a fair bit more as Nero because most of my IRL friends don't really fit that category.

There's certainly more things I would say irl than I would online, surprisingly enough. I'm more blunt and a lot more of a dick in person than I am online most of the time.

Like L'Belle, I'm more confident online than irl but I think I'm getting a little better in real life social situations. One other thing is I'm moodier irl than online.

I can be fairly quiet compared to how I am online. If I'm in a situation with new people IRL, I don't usually make the first move to start a conversation unless I feel comfortable to do so. I'm more outgoing with people I'm familiar and close with and louder as I've been told, and I like to think I can be a riot to hang out with in those situations.
