The world renowned Pokémon Trainer Academy. A place for learning and growth, friendship and rivalry, heartache and adventure. Placed on the entirely man made Oak Island it was a place where young and aspiring Pokémon Trainers gather from all around the world to study and hone their skills, equipped with every environment a Trainer could expect to encounter on their Pokémon journey and populated with almost every Pokémon species known to man. Staffed by some of the most knowledgeable and skilled Pokémon Trainers in the world the school offers the finest tuition one can hope to receive in any matter related to Pokémon. A project started and run by Gary Oak, grandson of the top Pokémon Researcher in the Kanto region, Professor Oak. Once intended to be a training ground against the nefarious Team Rocket it has found true success as a place of learning and personal development, far outgrowing its original purpose. But who can say what experiences await the newest students, what perils and triumphs hide amongst the islands many locations?
A new school year is upon the Academy and the staff can be seen bustling through the corridors and dormitories, even the streets of Oak Town, to try and prepare for what lies ahead and direct their young charges to where they need to go. Students arrive by boat, plane and even Ride Pokémon from across the globe to get settled in and start the academic year in earnest. Merchants and hustlers hawk their wares, eager to turn a profit on this new crop of customers and fill their pockets. The sun shines down, gentle and warm with the last days of summer, helping soothe the more anxious and homesick young Trainers as they first set foot on their new island home. Pokémon from every region run back and forth between their owners and newfound friends, filling the air with a chorus of excited squeaks and squawks, rumbles and roars. This has been the scene for days now as the students slowly trickle onto the island. Some are already set up in their dorm rooms – clothes unpacked and posters on the walls, while others are only just now arriving from their long journey and beginning to settle into their new home. The Pokémon Centres in both Oak Town and the Academy itself are a hive of activity as Pokémon are already being treated and cared for after battles between fired up students.
With so much activity the possibilities are endless for a day like today for those willing to seek them out. From the halls of the Academy to the tops of the mountains there are no limits to the experiences these young Trainers can have or the bonds they can form. Many students have come before and moved on to have incredible journeys beyond the bounds of Oak Island, attributing much of their success to their time at the Academy and the lessons they learned there. The opportunities exist for the current students to far surpass those who preceded them, forging relationships and legends that will stand the test of time both in their memories and the Academy itself.
Regular announcements over the schools sound system helped to remind the new arrivals that the majority of their luggage would be transported to their dorm room for them by a team of burly Machamp and to check the welcome pack that had been mailed to them for a complimentary map of the island, pokeball, potion, room key and various administrative details such as their dorm assignment and a list of classes. The path from Oak Town to the Academy was clearly marked and occasionally patrolled by a member of staff to make sure students didn't get lost or block the road with an impromptu battle. For those already settled in many of the Academy facilities were finally opened up and available including the library and computer labs while others would be more excited by the new selection of potential opponents making their arrival.
Classes and school activities would soon become a daily aspect of life for almost everyone living on Oak Island but for now the focus was on making sure that the students still arriving got settled in and acclimatized to their new environment. For some this meant comfort eating in the cafeteria while for others it involved beginning to explore some of the places the island had to offer.
Today marks a fresh start for all of them and their Pokémon, but what that fresh start means is up to each of them. Will they conquer their fears or embark on a quest to be the perfect student, champion of the battlefield, avid collector or something else entirely? Only their own resolve and determination stand in their way as the journey continues…

Ivrant vs Sydney
Sydney had spent longer in the doctors office than she would have cared to admit, mulling over everything that had been said and trying to figure out what she was going to do about this whole Elgyem mess. Eventually though her better nature kicked in and she'd decided the only thing to do was start doing something or else she'd have to start getting her mail delivered to the Pokemon Centre. She'd picked up the dreaded pokeball from the front desk, along with some information they'd determined like its moves and so on. She'd declined an information pack about Elgyem as a species, she probably knew more about them than some of the teachers at the Academy... which really did make it seem odd that she was so against the idea of training one. With nothing else for it but biting the bullet and meeting the Pokemon causing her so much trouble she'd made her way out of the Academy. She had given some thought to getting something to eat but she wasn't especially hungry and didn't want to pig out when she couldn't even remember what she'd had for breakfast. She hadn't wanted to draw a crowd when she first tried to deal with her predicament so she stayed away from the more crowded parts of the school, hoping to find some peace and quiet. After some wandering she'd settled on a fairly unexceptional patch of land. She could still see the Academy buildings if she looked back the way she had come, and ahead of her was the ocean stretching on for what seemed like forever. No one would come out here, right?
The first thing she did was reach into her bag and pull out Miko's pokeball, popping it open and releasing the adorable troublemaker. Just seeing her again helped soothe her frayed nerves, it made sense to have Miko with her in case her fears about the Elgyem were justified, right?
"Hey cutie," she smiled for what felt the first time in forever, "I, uh, don't suppose you remember much of today do you?" She asked, dropping down onto her haunches and wrapping her arms around her knees. "Chu?" Miko tilted her head, puzzled by the bizarre question. Of course she cou-... er... nope. "Pa... chu...?" She scratched her cheek, unable to recall anything at all. "Heh, well, that's okay. We're in the same boat then. Turns out I caught an Elgyem and it messed with my memories. You must have helped me catch it, that'll be why you don't remember anything either. I'm about to meet it for the first time, mind being my wing... uh, wingwoman? Wing...pokemon? No, that'd be a Wingull wouldn't it, although if youhad wings you'd pretty much be an Emolga, which is funny isn't it, how alike the two species are? You'd think someone would have found a common evolutionary link by now but so far as I kn-" "Pacha!" "Oh! Sorry, I got carried away... anyway, you ready?"
Miko answered by jumping up and scampering up her Trainers arm to rest on her shoulder, nuzzling into her neck. Sydney smiled again, much broader this time. It was the little things that helped you realise nothing was as bad as it first seemed. Encouraged by her partners affection she stood back up and pulled out that pokeball, staring at it in her hand for what felt like an eternity before she was finally able to toss it forward, releasing the Pokemon inside in a swirl of blue light. Elgyem weren't particularly big Pokemon and this one was no different, it was actually a little on the small side for its species. It floated several feet off the ground, turning its almost comically large head from side to side as it took in the sights. Sydney held her breath and waited for it to notice her. When it did it stared at her for a second before floating closer, eliciting a squeak of fright from Sydney as she forced herself not to instinctively retreat. The sound made Elgyem stop its advance, regarding her for a second before it lifted one stubby arm to show the three gems embedded in its... 'hand'. They started to flash in sequence - red, yellow, red, red, green, yellow, green - then stopped as Elgyem waited for a response. This was the tricky thing about Elgyem, they seemed to understand humans just fine but communicated almost exclusively in those light patterns which they had to know no one understood or had been able to figure out... but they just refused to try anything else.
Sydney took a deep breath. "U-... uh, hi there... Elgyem... m-my name is S-s-sydney and this is... is Miko..." "...Pa." Miko said, giving the Elgyem a look that spoke volumes about how unimpressed she was. "I g-guess I'm your T-Trainer now, if... if that's okay?"
The Elgyem tilted its head as if to regard her quizzically... but then just kept tilting, rotating in the air until it was completely upside down, then kept going until it had done a full clockwise turn and was right side up again.
"Um... I... uh... I hope that's a yes...?" "...Risu." Miko shrugged, clearly no wiser than her Trainer was. "Uh, so, Elgyem... I don't really remember catchi-" She cut off her own sentence with a scream as the Elgyem suddenly surged forwards, zooming through the air with a speed uncharacteristic for its species until it was inches from her face and tapped her on the forehead with one of the gems on its hand.
The sky was really pretty today. That was the next thing she was able to think clearly as she stared up at the blue sky, wispy white clouds floating by in a gentle breeze. She lay on the ground for a few minutes just enjoying the view while she tried to figure out what had happened to her. There was no sudden surge of memories coming back into her mind, no reliving the day in some sort of real time flashback. The memories that had been missing were simply there[i/] again, ready to be accessed as if they had never been gone. She could remember getting up, breakfast, setting out to train.... she remembered finding an Elgyem that looked to be in bad shape and thinking that she had to help it - it was a Pokemon she'd always wanted to catch anyway! She could remember how frightened it had been when Miko started chasing it closer to Sydney and how its gems had all flashed up at the same time once it saw the pokeball arching through the air towards it.... and with the return of her memories her irrational dread surrounding Elgyem was gone as well...
A rich laugh started deep in her chest and bubbled up to the surface, ringing out across the fields from where she lay on the ground. Miko stirred from unconsciousness - asleep in Sydneys lap - and looked around blearily as she too started putting the pieces together. Sydney couldn't stop the peals of laughter from coming out - she'd been so frightened! She'd acted so stupid! She scooped Miko up and put her back on her shoulder as she stood up, spotting Elgyem just floating there and staring up at the sky too.
"Oh, Elgyem," she said, getting its attention as she walked forward and put her arms around it, pulling it for a hug, "I'm so sorry I scared you. It's okay, I promise, everythings going to be alright. We don't need to be scared anymore. I'll talk care of you." And then she laughed again, a laugh of joy and relief that felt like it was filling her up faster than she could let it out.
Ivrant had some time before he had to meet up with the gang by the beach.. As soon as he made it into his room he dug around to see what he could bring on over. He of course had his seal kit he could probly mess with while over there but he didn't really want to get sand or anything all over it so maybe it'd be best to just leave it there for another time. He could make his friend something better back at his dorm anyways. Dynamo was already walking around and brushing off whatever he could find to make sure the room was nice and tidy. As soon as Ivrant found a pair of swim shorts he quickly put them right on and got himself all set for another day at the beach! He was sure Knox would appreciate a return back to the sand anyways... the poor thing was so nervous looking so a a trip to more familiar waters ought to be just the thing to make it comfortable before getting comfortable around others.
Ivrant packed his bags and headed on out the door dressed in a grey t-shirt and black swim shorts. All he had to do now is meet up with the gang near the beach. "Try not to go too nuts at the beach Dynamo. I know you and Scraggy aren't the best of friends but try to behave ya know?" Ivrant said to his mon. Dynamo didn't seem to give a confirmation nor a denial that he would keep in check. That was more up to that Scraggy! "Dynamo... look you can't go off getting into fights constantly like that. Its going to really cause trouble for us you know? I know you got good intentions but you two need to try at least getting along somewhat you know?" Dynamo still didn't seem to pleased but did give off a small sigh. Seems like that was the best he was going to get out of Dynamo for now.
Sydney eventually let go of Elgyem - the Psychic type displaying no preference either way - and took a step back to look at him with a smile. Miko still didn't seem overly impressed by the situation and was watching this new Pokemon with a strong degree of scepticism. First she'd had to make friends with a bloodthirsty bug and now this thing? Why couldn't Sydney catch a normal Pokemon?
"Well, first things first. We're going to need a name for you, aren't we? Miko and Titania both have one and we can't have you being left out. How about... Faustus? Faust for short?" Elgyem just... floated there. Staring at her. "Great! Faustus it is!" She grinned, somehow taking this completely lack of reaction as a ringing endorsement. "I know we've gotten off to kind of an unusual start and all, but I think we're going to be great friends. I'll have to introduce you to Titania too, but maybe we should do some training first... normally I would want to do lots of research on the species of a Pokemon I've caught but I already know a lot about Elgyem to tell you the truth... would it be too soon to catch another Pokemon? Probably, but if one crosses out path we shouldn't rule it out, right?"
Sydney continued to babble while Miko and Faustus looked at each other. Miko rolled her eyes and gave a slight nod indicating to Faustus that, yes, their Trainer really did talk this much...
While walking off the beaten path to get to the beach quicker, Ivrant caught notice of the trainer and their Pokemon seemingly spending time out here on their own as well. There wasn't really lot of time for him to stop and chat... maybe they were training anyways? "Hmm... well, best keep going before we end up late- why are one of my Pokeballs open?" Ivrant asked, looking down at his belt and noticing one of them had just shot open and hit the ground. This did not bode well. To top it off, He witnessed a trail of water rocketing straight toward the group. "Ohhh nononononononoono..." Dynamo attempted to grab Buster as usual but it seems their training had gotten Buster much better at avoiding such maneuvers. "Damnit Buster... this isn't going to get much better at this rate. After the beach we gotta figure this out." He thought to himself as he gave chase.
"I mean, we could always just spend some time out here relaxing and getting to know each other better," Sydney continued her rambling, "But it might be a good idea for me to go back and tell the medical staff that everything is sorted out now. We don't want people worrying... about... uh... Faustus? What are you doing?"
Faustus had both of his arms held in front of him and he was surrounded by an outline of blue energy. When she turned to look in the direction he was facing she saw that some distance from her was a sphere of water floating in the air, bobbing up and down slightly. She blinked, trying to understand what she was looking at.
"...What... is that a Water type move? But I got your list of moves from Nurse Joy, and... wait, if I remember right Elgyem can't learn any Water type moves anyway. Well, except for Rain Dance I mean..." She mused, walking closer to the ball of water. "This is so strange..."
Ivrant had no trouble catching up after the big blob of water was suddenly stopped in its tracks. The Marill seemed to keep rushing as if it were contiuning to run through the field however. "Buster... we're going to keep running into all sorts of people at this rate if you keep running off like that! Uh..." He noticed the Elgyem floating and holding out its arms toward the Marill. Well guess that explains why there wasn't any casualties at all. That would have been awkward to explain otherwise. He just kind of looked between botht he Marill and the other female trainer a bit awkwardly.
"Uhhh,,, hi there..." Sydney said awkwardly after some boy with a shock of white hair ran up and just started kind of... looking at her. "Is... is that your Pokemon in there?" She gestured to the ball of water. The water was swirling around furiously as whatever was inside tried to keep pushing forward so she couldn't make out what it was that was in there. She glanced at Faustus, but since Elgyem didn't exactly have a normal face it was hard to tell whether it was struggling or finding the whole thing a breeze. "You're kind of supposed to challenge someone to a battle before you just attack them, you know? Do you think you could call off your Pokemon so mine can put it down?"
"Oh! Uh... yeah. Comon Buster! Chill for a bit we're almost at the beach! You can run around all you like when we get there alright?" Ivrant said as he pointed the ball toward the ball of water to return the Marill back into its ball, causing the water that was contained in it to splash around onto the ground. "Sorry he's uh... been having some behavior problems lately. The little guy just figured out how to break out of his ball of all things so now I got more to worry about on top of that ahaha... good catch though! He a pretty hyperactive fella." Ivrant explained. Dynamo seemed to be eying the other girls Pokemon trying to make some kind of first opinion on them...
"Well, it's okay I guess. Don't worry about it," she smiled, seeming to forget the incident as quickly as it had happened, "I only caught Faustus here today so it's nice to know his reflexes are good." The Elgyem floated closer to Sydney, staring endlessly at Dynamo with its crystalline eyes... it didn't have any eyelids so it never blinked. Miko meanwhile was staring down at the Roselia from her perch on her Trainers shoulder, eyes narrowed as she tried to figure out how she could use the Pokemon to best help Sydney. "Miko here, my Pachirisu is a bundle of energy herself, but that's pretty normal for her species and a lot of Electric types in general. Marill though are usually more sedate than that though, I mean they're a pretty popular Pokemon to give to kids because they're usually so easy to handle. You must have a really special case on your hands." She said, pushing a stray lock of hair behind her ear. What she made a point not to say was the alternative that this guy was just such a bad Trainer he couldn't even handle a Pokemon meant for little girls. That probably wasn't it, right? He just had the one in a million Marill that was a battle crazed livewire... sure. That was it.
"Uh... yeah he is a pretty special case I'd say. Dynamo here wasn't too tough to raise honestly but Buster here... well he could be alot worse I suppose. At least he's not hurting anybody." Ivrant said with a small shrug. Dynamo walked up a little closer once he noticed the Pachirisu was eyeing him over and continued to glance over to the Elgyem. Still didn't have any impressions on the two yet. His trainer hadn't even introduced himself yet! "Ah, I'm Ivrant by the way. Was just on my way over to the beach to meet up with some friends before this all happened. Ah, the Rosellia here is Dynamo." Ivrant began. Dynamo looked to the other trainer and gave off a small formal bow toward her.
Sydney giggled as Dynamo bowed to her and gave a mock curtsy in return. "Nice to meet you Dynamo, and you too Ivrant. Miko, Faustus, say hello."
Faustus flashed a series of colours with no obvious meaning while Miko gave an indifferent squeak. The Roselia seemed to think pretty highly of themselves, Pokemon like that were always so easy to manipulate there was hardly any fun in it.
"You know, I'd hate to keep you from your friends but if you have time I'd love a battle. It would be great to put Faustus here through his paces, I haven't had a chance to see what he can do yet. It's totally okay if you don't have time, of course. Or if you don't want to. I mean we already saw that Faustus can stop your Marilll in his tracks so I'd get it if you'd rather not," she smiled. She didn't seem to mean to suggest that his Pokemon weren't strong enough to take hers on but that was definitely how it would come across. So far as she was concerned he could barely control his Pokemon, how big a threat could he be? Nevermind the fact that she had spent most of the day terrified of her own Elgyem - that was a mind control thing, totally different!
Ivrant wasn't sure if he liked this girl's tone... implying he couldn't handle a battle or not. Even Dynamo seemed to give off a noticeable twitch in his eye at the comment. "Ah well I am a bit early... sure I could go for a quick battle! I got some Pokemon that I need to put through some work myself. If Dynamo here dosn't want to step in first anyways..." The Rosellia tilted its head and eyed the two Pokemon, debating if it should just step in and show this girl who was the top dog here. Even though the rest of the team could go for a good battle or two to catch up.
"I'll have you know I am more then capable of handling a battle under my trainer's direction! Though... my friends could use more experience so I'll sit out until needed I suppose." Dynamo said to the two mon as he stepped back, giving Ivrant the signal that he was perfectly fine with a training session.
Miko smirked down at Dynamo. "Oh, okay. You tell yourself what ever you need to. It's okay to be scared you know, just don't make a habit of it or people might think you're a coward..."
"Okay, great! So what do you say to two Pokemon each? I'll use Faustus of course," Sydney smiled, stepping back a little so she wouldn't be in the way once the moves started flying around. "You pick whoever you like, I don't mind letting you take the advantage of picking second." She was in such a good mood after resolving things with Faustus that she felt like there was no way she could possibly lose! This was going to be her first win at the Academy, she could feel it. She knew this guy was probably just going to send out his Marill again anyway and it had already shown it didn't listen to him. "Just let me know if you want to stop at any point though, I don't want Buster to hurt himself if he doesn't do what he's told again."
Okay. Now Ivrant had to win this fight. No no... training first. Still he could have an advantage with Knox all the same if he was facing against a psychic type. Knox needed some battle experience anyways so he pulled out his other ball. "Alright Knox, lets give it a go!" Ivrant called out as the little Sand Castle to the battlefield. She quickly looked around noticing this definately was NOT the beach... but it was at least close enough to the ocean. A bit of an unexpected turn for her. "Don't worry Knox, as soon as we're done, you can play in all the sand that ya like! For now though, how about we get you some exercise in the mean time?" Ivant said happily. Knox was a bit shy being surrounded by so many mon and turned toward its opponent with a nervous look on its face.
"Alright Faustus, let's see what you can do. Cosmic Power seems like the way to start!" She called out. Faustus responded by lifting his arms up toward the sky, gems flashing rapidly as it surrounded itself in sparkling light. The energy would make him more resistant to just about every kind of attack and would put them in a good spot going forward. Sandygast were an Alolan Pokemon and not one she had ever encountered before so she wasn't about to take any chances by battling recklessly, especially since it was her first battle with Faustus. Still, it was nice to see that he was listening to her and following orders.
"Alright... boosting up from the start then? Lets see if we can't get an advantage here. Knox! Astonish!" Ivrant called out. The little sand castle melted into a small sand puddle and would quickly reappear right in front of Faust to give it good spook enough to physically do damage to the psychic type!
Faustus didn't seem to actually flinch from the attack and while there couldn't be any question that the move had done actual damage the fact that Faustus didn't have so much an actual face as it did the suggestion of one made it next to impossible to tell how much pain it was in... but that was true for his own Trainer as well as his opponent. Sydney realised she was going to have to try and figure out a way to tell when Faustus was near his limits without giving the same advantage to her foes. "More Cosmic Power Faustus, I don't want them able to make a dent in your defenses!"
The Psychic type obediently repeated the move, further reinforcing itself against all attacks. If this was just a one on one battle she might have started going on the offensive already but with it being two versus two she wanted to try and set herself up to have as much of a long term advantage as she could.
Ivrant was going to have to start putting in a dent on this mon's health soon before that defense rocketed up... it wasn't a bad strategy or anything. He just wasn't sure how bulky this kind of mon was. Psychic Types were usually more offensive then this. Would a chance to try out different moves at least. He had a plan B incase things started going south at least. "Alright Knox! Ancient Power!" Ivrant called out. Knox would back away from Faust and start pulling out several large rocks from the ground, all firing toward Faust to hopefully do more damage then Astonish would have done. Knox definately didn't seem to be too big of a powerhouse. At least not yet anyways. She did seem to also be picking up the left over debris and stacking it into her own form to keep herself steady. Or perhaps she was powering up in a way? He'd have to keep a close eye on her behavior during the battle.
"Focus Knox. You can't waste too much time letting that thing power up or your never going to end this fight." Dynamo said from the sidelines.
The rocks hammered against Faustus but the light surrounding it from Cosmic Power seemed to be deflecting most of them before they struck, causing them to be glancing blows rather than direct hits. Ancient Power was definitely a stronger move than Astonish was, but between losing the type advantage and the boost from the second Cosmic Power it probably wasn't doing that much more damage... at least, that's what Sydney hoped. "Okay Faustus, let's get ready to wrap this up. Nasty Plot!"
The crystals on the Elgyems arms started to flash rapidly and even his eyes began to emit a soft glow, the shining light from Cosmic Power taking on a more sinister red hue as the Pokemon started to turn its incredible mind towards all of the possible ways to inflict harm on Knox. They were massively boosting their attack potential for the rest of the battle - so now not only were they harder to damage but they would be hitting like a truck too!
Miko grinned, glad to see that even if this Elgyem was a bit of a weirdo they would be able to hold their own on Sydneys team. "Awww, I guess it's all over but the crying, huh?" She chimed in, "Maybe you should give up? Oh, but then we're back to that little coward issue aren't we? Are all of you on your team a bunch of weaklings and scaredy cats? Maybe if you have the guts to step up after the blandcastle there I'll show you how a real Pokemon fights."
Knox continued to pelt the Elgyem with several large rocks and gathering up whatever was left over to keep the bulk of the sandcastle intact. "Grr... this could be bad if it lands a hit. This is pretty similar to my strategy with Buster... alright, Sand Attack! Lets try to disorient it a little!" Ivrant called out as Knox flung a wave of dust right toward Faust.
Dynamo seemed to be listening intently at Miko who seemed to just be smack talking rather then be constructive. "Your quite the talkitive one aren't you? They're usually the ones who take the fall much harder then most after being toss around miss." Dynamo said. She was no trouble maker so far like that Scraggy but she sure had a level of confidence that reached the stars.
Faustus couldn't do much about the Sand Attack, it wasn't as if he could even close his eyes, so he just let the dust fly across his face. Sydney frowned - if they couldn't land a hit then all of their powering up was going to be completely pointless. She had wanted to use Nasty Plot again so they could take out Knox in one hit, then do the same to whatever Pokemon Ivrant sent in next, but if she did that then he was just going to use Sand Attack again. She would have to take her chances.
"That's enough prep work Faustus, hit them with Confusion!"
Faustus pointed its arms towards Knox, the glow around it growing more intense as it attempted to exert its psychic power onto the sandcastle. If it was able to land the hit then it would be able to lift the other Pokemon up and slam them back down onto the ground and thanks to Nasty Plot it would be a lot stronger than normal... unless Sand Attack would stop the move from doing anything at all.
Miko laughed, an appropriately high pitched sound. "There's nothing usual about me Captain Flower Power. You've seen how strong Faustus there is for yourself, it stopped your blue balled friend like the water balloon he is. And who do you think it was that helped Sydney capture Faustus in the first place, hm? You're looking at her. So if I can run circles around that big brained behemoth then I understand why you'd be too scared to battle. You can just stand to the side and keep playing cheerleader until your petals wilt for all I care."
Knox ended up being lifted right up, causing the poor Sand Castle to panic as it felt itself detatched from the ground until it was slammed and turned into a small pile of sand. She quickly reformed after taking that heavy hit... She may have been at a disadvantage against a strong attack like that. "Hang in there Knox! Darnit... how can we get through this... gotta make a note to teach her some more offensive moves..." Ivrant quickly thought of whatever else was left in Knox's toolkit. With how bulky the opponent was, there was one option he could opt for... Knox seemed to be busy trying to put itself back together. Completely wide open for attack.
The Rosellia looked up at Miko with a wide grin. "Chatter chatter chatter... my dear, if you'd like to say this to my face I'd highly encourage it." Dynamo said confidently.
"Yes, alright Faustus, now let's give them a taste of their own medicine with Astonish!" She called out. After the amount of damage that Confusion had done Astonish might be enough to finish off the Sandygast. It wouldn't benefit from the Nasty Plot power up but would still be super effective since Ghost type Pokemon were weak to their own type. She mostly didn't want to be too predictable after using all of those moves to increase their power. Faustus surged forward, thrusting its hand forward to give Knox a smack as the gems all flashed rapidly in rotation, the lights flashing so quickly they almost seemed to become a terrifying spinning circle of deadlights.
"I thought I was talking to your face?" Miko mused, rubbing her chin with one tiny paw. "But your face is a flower, your hands are flowers, it's really difficult to tell. I could be talking to your backside and I honestly wouldn't be able to tell the difference."
"Knox!" Ivrant called out. Though just before Knox could be finished off from that attack and faint, some form of self defense clicked inside of Knox causing it to move toward Faust and cover it right up in a gigantic pile of sand almost liike it was trying to eat him up! Granted it wasn't going to get that gritty but the Sandygast's eyes were giving off a small glow as it used Destiny Bond to take its opponent down with it.
Dynamo turned up to Miko and gave it a wide grin. "Talking to my backside? Miss its not polite to stare there..." Dynamo chuckled. "I do appreciate the compliment though. Ah... hold on, my companion is about to even the tide. Maybe you'll have a chance for a more personal conversation after all hm?"
Knox would eventually release Faust and finally faint, leaving his opponent in the same condition as her of course to properly even things out. Not exactly the kind of thing Ivrant wanted to end off with but it'd make a good trump card.
Sydneys mouth fell open as she watched Knox effectively eat her Pokemon. Once Faustus was released the glow surrounding him vanished and the lights inside his crystals went out before he fell out of the air and hit the ground with a soft thud, no longer able to levitate himself. "I... well done I guess... kind of a Pyrrhic victory though, huh?" She sighed and called Faustus back to his pokeball, less than pleased with how things had ended. That victory had been hers, she'd pretty much dominated the entire battle and then Ivrant went and used a cheap move like that. Who was she going to use next? Titania needed the battle experience a little more than Miko did, but she really wanted to make sure she kicked this guys butt now...
"Well, time for round two. You ready?" She asked. If she could goad him into picking his Pokemon first or giving a clue about what it would be...
"Oh well done," Miko rolled her eyes, "The blandcastle could only win the fight by LOSING the fight - sooooo impressive. What do you do, smack yourself in the face until your opponent feels sorry for you? What a bunch of losers."
"Didn't think Knox had a move like that. Eheh... not realy the kinda way I'd go out in a battle preferably but guess it'd make for a good trump card. I'll definately have to teach her some more moves. Ya did good for your first battle Knox." Ivrant smiled before returning her to the ball. "Alright then. Lets go for round two, this time lets use someone with a little more experience in battle huh? Comon Dynamo you're up." Ivrant said. The Roselia smiled and hopped right on into the battlefield, bringing out its vine and getting himself ready for combat.
"I wouldn't call it an honorable way to go down... but it keeps us even. Now if you excuse me, I have a battle to focus on if your going to stay up there and run your mouth all day." Dynamo spoke out.
Miko narrowed her eyes and shot Dynamo an evil look... she'd been goading the stuck up jerk into stepping forward so she could make sure Sydney sent out Titania, who'd have the advantage, but she'd underestimated just how hard it was to get under this pile of living mulches skin. She wasn't about to let this stand! She leapt down from Sydneys shoulder and landed gracefully, scampering forward to take her place on the battlefield. "You know, I had this whole plan where I was going to lure you onto the field so Sydney could send out her Bug Pokemon and trash you, but I just can't resist teaching you a lesson myself."
"Uh, Miko, I was going to use Titania... you know what, nevermind, let;s do this!" Sydney grinned. Miko had speed for days and was going to run circles around these two. "You know what to do Miko," she said confidently, "Hit them with the good stuff."
Miko grinned evilly at Dynamo, knowing the power this move held. It was always the most fun to use against Pokemon she'd made dislike her first... she curled her bushy tail around herself and hid her face behind it before whipping it aside and blowing a massive kiss to Dynamo, a pink cartoon heart floating forward. As soon as it struck Dynamo it would explode into a cloud of pink mist... they were using Attract!
Dynamo took its stand, holding out its vine similar to that of a rapier and braced itself for the incoming heart heading right toward it, The Rosellia attempted to cut right through it but it would end up directly affected by the incoming attract. Ivrant was a bit unfamiliar with the move himself... what was she planning here? Dynamo didn't seem to be wounded at all at least. "Dynamo! Don't let that phase you. Hit her with Power Whip!" Ivrant shouted out. It wasn't going to be very effective on an electric type but the move itself had alot more power then what the rest of his mon had! Dynamo stepped forward and flung out its Vine whoever... instead of using it for a fierce attack... Dynamo seemed to use it to pull himself closer to Miko for a proper embrace. "What the-"
"You know... as talkative as you are, I don't think I"ve gotten a good look up close at you my dear...~" Dynamo said in a flirty tone.
Sydney had a massive grin plastered on her face, she always found Pokemons reactions to being hit with Attract hilarious. Especially when their Trainers didn't really know what was going on! "Phase two Miko, keep it up." She and Miko had a one-two punch with Attract and Charm to set themselves up for victory early on in a match but this was the first time they'd really get to see the benefit of it.
Miko widened her eyes and held one delicate paw up to her mouth, bottom lip trembling. "Oh my," she said in a breathy voice, "I didn't realise you were so... dynamic... I'm just such a little Pokemon..." It was an unusual move, but if it landed then even on the turns where Attract wasn't stopping Dynamo from attacking he would still be reluctant to hurt Miko, pulling his punches whether he wanted to or not.
"Dynamo! Comon Snap out of it! Your supposed to be battling not... whatever this is!" Ivrant shouted out to Dynamo. The flower winced a little at the command but the added charm seemed to only egg the flower on even further. What kind of male would deny a mon when they're already melting in their arms after all? It'd be so ungentlementlike!
"Oh no need to be so modest my dear..." He said, leaning closer to her. "Something about you just speaks out to me is all~ I can be far more then dynamic... if you would allow me to..." Dynamo said with a wide smile, pulling her up a little closer.
"Great work Miko, now let's see if we get lucky," Sydney laughed at her own pun, "Let's go with Spark and see if we can paralyse him too!"
Miko smiiled wickedly up at Dynamo, blue sparks starting to dance across her cheeks. "Oh but don't men prefer it when a lady plays hard to get? Here, let me give you a taste!" Miko let out a surge of blue electricity, surrounding both of them in azure lightning. Dynamo had a resistance to Electric type moves but Sydney was clearly hoping they'd be able to add another status effect on top of the work Attract had already done. Even if Ivrant wasn't familiar with the moves themselves it should be starting to become clear that the strategy here had taken a dramatic shift. With Faustus she had been trying to boost his strength up so high that he couldn't be beaten but with Miko they were trying to force Dynamo and Ivrant into a position where they weren't able to actually do anything, and even if they did the effectiveness would be reduced. It was a strategy Sydney had developed especially for Miko since Pachirisu was such a small Pokemon. They didn't have the brute force or the sturdy bodies to stand toe to toe with... well, with anything really. But they were making a clear effort to take control of the battle and play things out at their own pace.
"D-Dynamo! Attack! Do something! Power Whip!" Ivrant shouted out to his mon as he was suddenly zapped by the close range spark. It didn't do nearly that much damage on him but it did leave his legs feeling a little numb.
"Mm...mngghh.... such... beautiful blue sparks... I do enjoy a lady that plays hard to get tough you'll find I'm quite adaptable... Agh... c...can't... move..." Dynamo suddenly felt his body freeze up as he struggled to stand up. Especially with their close proximity! Dynamo ended up leaning toward Miko and would end up accidentally planting his face right up against hers thanks to the paralysis and would end up kissing the other mon. Dynamo was going to struggle sleeping after this battle. Ivrant could hadly believe how helpeless he felt in this battle. Dynamo hadn't even gotten off a single bit of damage yet!
Sydney giggled at the accidental kiss, Miko was not going to like that! Despite being such a flirt in battle the little lady was actually very proper when it came to that sort of thing. "Haha, okay Miko, let's start wrapping this up, we've had enough fun. Iron Tail to the end!" It felt good to be winning so decisively after the cheap stunt Ivrant had pulled with Destiny Bond, not to mention how great it was to see the strategy she and Miko had spent so much time on. Not to mention money! The TM for Attract hadn't exactly been cheap...
Miko struggled furiously to try and get away from Dynamo, angry sparks jumping off her cheeks. As soon as Sydney gave the order her bushy tail became coated in a metal covering and she whipped it around, smacking Dynamo in the side of the head with it again and again. It looked like she was going to just keep that up until either Dynamo fainted or something else in the battle changed.
Dynamo blushed furiously at his sudden stunt as he was suddenly smacked all across the face by Miko after that little accident... he was paralyzed too so even if he did snap out of it from that, moving was going to be struggle. His sweet talk quickly came to a stop after that as he was sent right to the floor from the repeated iron tails. "MMnghhh.... agh..." Dynamo grunted.
"Are you snapped out of it Dynamo? Comon quit fooling around and fight back!" Dynamo seemed to be completely broken. Maybe he had fainted or perhaps the mental tool was far too much for him to continue. Either way he was out of commission after that. "Well... guess that's one way to win a battle? Guess thats fair enough." Ivrant muttered to himself as he returned Dynamo back into his ball. Well so much for the win streak! Still... that was a complete lockdown! May as well not have been a battle at all! "Quite a strategy you got there. Guess that's a fair enough response after how round one went" Ivrant said, trying to hide his own frustration.
"Great work Miko!" Sydney cheered. Miko gave her tail an imperious flick as the metal coating vanished. She wasn't going to forget that battle in a hurry!
"Oh, I mean, thanks," Sydney smiled, "I appreciate that, but it's not exactly the same. You know, we've put a lot of time and effort into developing that strategy, we've had to buy a TM and train really hard. Destiny Bond is a great move and all, and it would have been totally the right call in that situation for sure if you'd actually known your Pokemon knew it, but it's not really a strategy. Just kind of a... you know, something to pull out when you know you're going to lose and want to annoy your opponent."
The truth was Sydney really wasn't impressed with how Ivrant battled. His Sandygast barely knew any decent moves for attacking, but it hadn't exactly powered itself up and let loose with status conditions either. And his Roselia hadn't done anything except make a fool of itself then fall over. Sure, that had been the plan, but Ivrant hadn't shown he even understood what was happening!
"I really appreciate getting to have the battle though. Maybe when you've trained a bit and toughened up your team we could go again sometime? I'd love to see what your Pokemon can do once you put a bit of work in." She flashed him her prettiest smile. It was important to encourage the less capable students on the island after all.
Ivrant mustered every ounce of energy that he could to not lash out. She was seriosuly putting salt on the wound now... he was in the Suicune dorm! Just because some cheap strategy worked out didn't mean he wasn't capable of a battle! He needed to get Knox up to speed and find some counter for that Attract nonsense... if Dynamo was a female things may have turned the other way but no way he could change that... he'd just have to get some kind of item to completely negate it or have the effect backfire maybe? the whole ordeal frustrated him. This made him look like some trainer who just left their home and could barely take down a pidgey!
"...Sure thing. I got a few things to workout with my new teamates. Once it all comes together I'll be glad to go for a rematch. Er... if I bump into ya again anyways. " He said, making a grin of his own.
"Sounds good to me!" She answered while Miko climbed back up onto her shoulder, starting to fastidiously groom herself to try and wash off the feeling of that awful kiss. "I'm sure we'll see each other around, I hope you work hard though! I don't slack off and I think it'd be great if we could have a real battle next time, yeah? I hope you have a great day Ivrant, say hi to those friends of yours for me!" She gave him a cheery wave and set off back towards the Academy, thrilled with how the day was going after a less than ideal start. It was always good to make new friends, especially when they so clearly needed a bit of guidance. Poor guy probably didn't even actually have any friends waiting for him. She really hoped things would turn around for him soon and he'd put in the work he needed to become a halfway competent Trainer.
Ivrant turned around and walked a bit of a distance as he made his way toward the Cafeteria and the Pokemon Center nearby. He really had to vent now... he was trying so hard to be nice back there. So he did the one thing he could think of. He pulled out a ball and brough Buster out from his ball who seemed to be standing there for once. "Buster? Do me a favor. I know I said not to do this but this is an exception. Can you Aqua Jet that tree really REALLY hard?" Ivrant asked. Buster was... confused but he wasn't going to argue against hitting stuff realy really hard! the Marill used Belly Drum and quickly used Aqua Jet to slam into the nearest tree it could find, leaving a fine Buster sized mark on it. "Phew... I could feel that impact from here. Thanks Buster. How bout we stop by the Pokemon Center then huh?"

Day 2 (Cafeterias are a busy place) The place was now really busy. There were people and Pokémon everywhere, it looked a lot like a mess. But an organised mess at that. Cyan had just received his order, while Lara was almost finishing her pokepuff already. "Well, weren't you hungry?" Lara looked like it was trying to say something, but it's mouth was so full that what came out was more like "lmffgtgr!" Around them, there was quite a few things going on. Most trainers let their Pokémon out, which is fine, but a few of them looked like trouble. There was also a lot of Pokémon he had never seen before, so he tried registering them on his Pokedex. Lara was also looking at the other Pokémon, maybe figuring out if she should try to befriend one of them. To be fair, Cyan was actually fine with Lara making friends. But he wasn't fine with having to talk with their trainers later. First social interactions were always embarrassing, and normally ended in a bad way for him. Since he had a quite busy first day, maybe it would be nice to just walk back to the dorms and mess with the computers. "So, what about we go back to the dorm, Lara? You can go back to making your nest, OK?" Lara quickly turned her attention back to Cyan, and gave a small nod. Cyan then put Lara in her pokeball, then simply went back to the dorm. No crazy battles or random Pokémon showing up. Just a simple and calm stroll to the dorms. Party

While waiting for his food to be prepared, Tobias looked at the girl standing near the counter. probably shaking her hand would be a good start He thought for a moment, then he extended his hand to the girl and said "Hello! I'm Tobias, you can call me Toby if you want" Kayrana was wandering around the counter—still unsure what to ask for—when a blond boy approached her. She was quite startled by it, as the boy extended his hand, she looked over to him, then back to the counter, then back to him. Uhm, alright, she extended her hand and shook his quickly. "I am Kayrana. Nice to meet you. I was just deciding what to eat" she said as she ruffled her hand through her hair in a carefree manner. "Nice to meet you as well, i..ordered my favourite food from Kalos..but its still not prepared yet" said Tobias a bit nervously, startling the girl was not his intention. my favourite food, i bet she's bored already, think of something Toby!! Maybe i can ask her about herself, that could be a good idea, I hope "Hey Kayrana, where are you from? also I should say your outfit is pretty" Why did i say that now she'd probably get annoyed or something.. He thought, as he awaited for her reply. Kalos? She didn't know that much about other regions, truly. "Oh, and what is that? I certainly don't know much about Kalos at all, let alone cuisine." she replied, and then quickly answered his other question "I'm from Hoenn. Uh..." she paused for a bit "it's just the standard Raikou jacket." And it was the truth, she was just wearing a pastel yellow shirt and trousers, along with the jacket. She looked a bit disoriented because of the compliment,so Aurai, her Ralts, clinged onto her leg. Kayrana looked down, Ralts was pointing to the counter. "Oh, yeah!" Practically forgetting she was chatting, she went over to the counter and asked for a Berry fruit salad. It was as if Aurai had communicated with her in such a short time. "Oh, its a dish made from sweet berries and a sharp blue cheese, I fail to remember the name, but they serve it often in retaurants, and Kalos is the region i came from, its far from Hoenn so its understandable that you did not hear much about it." Said Tobias as Amy pecked his arm gently. He had to hold the Piplup since it could get lost in the cafeteria, that was now filled with students. "Hey, I didn't forget you" He said, as he gently petted Amy's head "Ohh, I see, I'll try and get one of the uniforms that i saw a few students wearing" The food was, finally, ready. He put his Piplup on the ground "stay close, Amy" He said, as he grabbed his plate, and waited with Kayrana for her plate. Aurai was now atop Kayrana's right shoulder, while she pet her gently on the head. While she waited, she remembered she was actually talking with someone. She looked to her right, the boy was also waiting with his plate. She looked to the ground: Oh... a Piplup! She crouched to get on the Piplup's height and looked at her, she was excited to see a Piplup, and so made a waving gesture. Behind the counter, a voice called "Kay... rana!?"—but she didn't hear, she was too amazed with the Piplup. Piplup moved its flipper-like arms, as if to wave back at Kayrana who now was crouched to get on Amy's level. "Yo, Kayrana, I think your food is ready.." Said Tobias, as he tried to notify the girl, who was embezzeled with Amy, and he waited for her reaction. Kayrana heard him. "Ah! Alright!" she petted the Piplup one more time and got up fast to get her food. "I hope it is of your liking," said the lady at the counter—Kayrana beamed, "Thank you very much!", and grabbed her plate. Aurai made a bowing gesture, which made the lady laugh. Kayrana waited until they called for Tobias's food. "Ah, I see your food is ready as well, I see an empty table over there, shall we go?" Said Tobias as he looked at the girl, then started to walk towards the table, Amy close behind him. Honedge stayed in the sheath, soundless, it was the sword pokemon after all, not really the sound making kind. Kayrana walked over to the table, paying attention to her food so that it didn't fall, altough Aurai was now walking just alongside her just in case. She sat down at the table and placed her food neatly, along with some napkins she had bought, she was always trying to be clean and orderly, even the kitchenware was placed in line with the dish and napkins. Aurai sat on Kayrana's lap, who watched as Tobias and his Piplup came and saw he carried something resembling a sword, that seemed to move. "Uh, what is that sword?" she almost shouted, just before he sat down. Tobias sat on the wooden chair, just when Kayrana said "Uh, what is that sword?", "thats my first pokémon, Honedge!" he said, with a smile, as he pulled out Honedge from his sheath "He says hi too. I really like Steel types, thats why I chose this guy to be my first partner." And with that the ghostly sword was back to its sheath. Amy, made some sounds, as if to tell Tobias to pick her up, so he did and put her on the table. "just be careful with the plates, Amy" He said, petting the Piplup on its head. "Oh, it's a Pokemon!" Kayrana said, shocked. She rummaged for her Pokedex and got it out of her orange backpack, which was now on the chair to her right. "Apparently this Pokémon is born when a departed spirit inhabits a sword. It attaches itself to people and drinks their life force." was heard in a robotic voice, coming from the Dex. "Woah, that's scary." Kayrana said, as she gave a blueberry to Ralts, who also climbed to the table to play with Piplup. "I like your Piplup! He's energetic," she laughed. "Ghost pokemon tend to do that moslty as a means of self defense I heard, and Honedge doesn't really take much, just a little bit satisfies his hunger for a while." Said Tobias, as Kayrana gave a blueberry to Ralts "Why thank you!, your Ralts is adorable and energetic as well" Desmond took his time leaving his class, opting to sit in his seat until everyone else had left. After what felt like months, everyone had finally left. As he got up, Hecate stretched before jumping off the table. The Umbreon had slept during the majority of the class and Desmond couldn't quite blame her. It was fairly boring with it only being a lecture day but he did have to admit he felt proud of getting Maylene's questions right, even if he had to share that with other people who were right as well. It was no time to be a sourpuss though. He had just completed his first days of classes, without any sort of incident, and he should be happy. Not to mention he was starving and if he knew his Pokemon, a bug type in particular, they were feeling the same way. So, Desmond made a beeline for the cafeteria. Stepping inside the large cafeteria, Desmond had to admit that the smells were amazing. It was going to be difficult to choose what exactly he wanted. Just then, he felt a wiggling sensation on his side and before he knew what was happening, Leo was standing in front of him, overjoyed at the sight and smells of all the lunch options. "Ah what do you think you're doing!?" Desmond stared disapprovingly down at the Heracross, who looked back with pure happiness causing Desmond to soften up. "Yeah...alright, I guess its alright. Just don't make a habit of that. Let's take a look around." The trio looked all around the cafeteria, sizing up their options before each settling on an item. Desmond and Hecate both opted for a Bouffalant burger while Leo, the Snorlax that he is, got Gogoat cheese pizza and a plate of Pecha Berry sandwiches. Desmond could only wonder how Leo could even fit all that in his stomach. One of the great Pokemysteries of the world. With food settled on, it was time to find a seat, which did not look promising for the trio. The place was packed with all of the students at the academy trying to get something to eat after long day of classes. This meant he would have to sit with people and socialize or something. Not exactly what he would call fun. As he scanned the area for a table, he realized that Leo had already made a beeline for a table. One with a couple students and their Pokemon at it, a Ralts maybe, and a sword and penguin. The names were escaping him. "Well, I guess we're sitting there then." Desmond thought, shaking his head before gesturing for Hecate to follow him. "Um, hi there. Mind if we sit?" "Hi! Please, feel free to sit" Said Tobias with a smile" I'm Tobias, I come for the Kalos region, how may i address you?" Kayrana was playing around with Tobias's Piplup while eating some berries, and giving some to Ralts. She had grabbed her journal and started sketching the moment, mostly Piplup and Ralts and the berries; at that moment a boy came. "Oh, uhm, why not! We're just having some fun and eating berries. I'm Kayrana." she blurted out, and noticed there were also two Pokemon that came with him: a Heracross, and an Umbreon. "Oh, and this is Aurai!" she said pointing to her. "She's my best friend!" she smiled very genuninely, and then went on "Maybe your Umbreon likes to play around? The Piplup's... oh," she facepalmed "How's she called, Tobias?" Ah, how did I forget to ask! "Amy, I nicknamed Piplup after the girl that owned him when it was still an egg" Said Tobias as he noticed the Heracross and Umbreon. "Oh, your Umbreon.. the ring on ihs ear is blue instead of gold, thats adorable!" He said, as he extended his hand to the boy. Desmond nodded as he took a seat with the other students. "Thanks, nice to meet you both. I'm Desmond." The two of them seemed nice enough, even if they were a little more cheery than Desmond preferred. He looked around at the other Pokemon. "So it was Ralts and...Piplup was the small penguin" He thought to himself. "Well its very nice to meet such cute little Pokemon." He snapped his attention back to the others as they spoke to him. He almost cracked a smile at Kayrana's question, thinking about Hecate actually playing. "If I'm being honest, Hecate here does not play around really at all. Battle sure, but play not so much." The Umbreon gave an affirmative nod as it nibbled on its meal. Just then he realized Tobias had reached his hand out. It'd be rude not to shake it he supposed, reaching his own hand out and shaking Tobias'. "Oh...uh thanks. It's definitely a unique quality of hers." Desmond was caught off guard a bit as no one had really said anything about Hecate's appearance before. "Oh, also, the Pokemon over there eating like its having its last meal is Leo." The Heracross took a moment to lift its head and smile before digging back in. "Thanks again for letting us sit with you." He did his best to give a smile to the both of them though it only amounted to half of one. Kayrana looked at the Heracross from afar, she didn't really like Heracrosses much, but at least he was just muching on his food. She kept on sketching for a bit as the boy introduced himself, but she stopped to focus when they mentioned something of a unique quality; she was actually really interested in why that Umbreon—Hecate, apparently—had a blue ring instead of a yellowish one. She picked up a blueberry and looked at it and then to the blue ring. "Ah, it's no problem at all!" she answered. "Just... do you know why Hecate has a differently-colored ring?" she said as she gave Aurai the blueberry. She then picked up a blueberry which was more lightish and held it up. "The colors match." she laughed. "You're welcome!" Said Tobias, as he picked up a few berries and fed them to Amy. I'm probably being a bit too cheerful, good first imression Toby.. Sigh At least Kayrana's presence is reassuring "Oh your Heracross reminds me of the Gogoat that my father owns, its almost always hungry" really?! I'm sure he's bored now Ugh! can I do anything right He then gently petted the Ralts, even though he loved Steel types, he wanted a Gallade, that pokemon somehow matched his character." My Honedge doesnt really play either, even though its really careful as to not hurt anyone while playing, people and pokémon feel intimidated, especially after hearing the Pokédex's entry." He said, as he looked to Desmond. Desmond thought about Kayrana's question. He didn't actually know the reason, it just had it after it evolved from his Eevee all those years ago. "I...uh...don't really know I guess. It just kinda was like that when she evolved. I guess I kinda like to think its because of our friendship." He reached over and stroked Hecate's blue ear. He noticed Kayrana holding a blueberry up. "So what's the blueberry for?" He asked a bit confused before realizing Tobias was talking to him. Something about his father and a Gogoat. "Oops, guess I missed what he was saying..." He thought as he diverted some of his attention back on the guy. So that floating sword was a Honedge. Desmond had never heard of it, so it must be from that region, Kalos, that Tobias had mentioned. "Huh, I guess that's unfortunate. Seems harmless to me." "Oh..." she smiled at his response. What an adorable reason. And giggled. "So, friendship. Seems amazing enough to me! Me and Aurai are the greatest friends too." she said as she hold onto her Ralts necklace with one hand and then brought Aurai closer to her and petted her head. "Oh, and the berry... well, may I?" she said as she gestured to feed Hecate the lightish-blue berry. "Don't worry, Amy, there's enough for you too!" she said turning her head and smiling at the Piplup. Then she looked at Tobias and then the Honedge. "Ah, pardon me! You can come play too." Honedge floated towards Kayrana and made some noise, as if to show his thanks for inviting him. Glad that he didnt reply to my father and the Gogoat thing, that would have been embarrassing to reply to Thought Tobias to himself. "Hm, Friendship between people and their pokemon can do great things" He said, as he reached out his hand and stroked Amy's head "Say, Desmond, Where are you from?" And with that he ate a bit of his food, then took a look at the cafeteria. It was filled with studends and their pokémon. Good thing they came early and secured a table. "I wouldn't if I were you...Hecate doesn't particularly take kindly to new people and Pokemon. Her and Leo still don't get along." The Umbreon was stone faced as she eyed Kayrana's hand. "Its nothing personal, she just has standards that must be met." Desmond cleared throat, feeling a bit awkward now. This hadn't been a problem with the other students he had met since he didn't particularly care what they thought, but these two were actually pretty nice and hadn't annoyed him in some way. Turning towards Tobias, "Oh, I'm from Orre. Isolated region." He kept it at that. Not much else needed to be said. "I read a bit about Orre, its an intresting region. Someday I will go there," Said Tobias "Oh I almost forgot" He quickly stood up and walked back to the counter. "Hello! May I have some coffee?" He said to the lady behind the counter. "Sure you may, I'll be right back". It did not take long before she came back and handed him a mug filled with coffee. He walked towards Kayrana and Desmond, and sat back in his chair. "Sorry about that, I like having coffee with my meals." He said as he took a sip of coffee " Do you guys have plans for the rest of the day? I fancy a walk in the forest, and it would be a good chance to give Honedge and Amy some training, I would be glad if you could join me, but if you have other matters to attend to, its understandable" He said as he sipped the black contents of his mug. "Oh, okay. I understand." said Kayrana with dismay. She left the berry on the table and picked another to give to Piplup, now smiling a bit more. She wasn't used to Pokemon being uncomforable around her, so that came as a bit of a shock, but she did understand she couldn't expect every Pokemon to be eager to play, so it was fine. She kept eating her berries until her plate was empty, while the others talked about some Orre region, which she hadn't heard anything about. She'd make sure to look that up later. Tobias went for a coffee, and then he came back and asked them if they were going to the forest and would like to join him. "Well, I'm not sure where I'm going to go..." she started, calmly, "let's just exchange numbers so we can communicate if needed." she stated. Aurai just wandered about, playing with Amy. Tobias took out his Xtransceiver, which he found in a box in his room earlier along with a few other items, and exchanged numbers with Kayrana and Desmond. He then took another sip of coffee. The lunch period was about to end, he noticed that srudents started to leave the cafeteria. "Amy, you can play with Aurai another time, for now we should head out to the forest, and get some training." He said as he drank up the dark contents of his mug and then he finished his plate. "Oh, I guess we can do that." Desmond handed his PokeGear over to Tobias and Kayrana. He wasn't positive he was actually going to contact them but he supposed it didn't hurt him to have their info. "Well thanks for the company. See ya around." Desmond gave them both a nod before getting up and heading out of the cafeteria, Hecate close behind and Leo reluctantly leaving his new favorite place. Desmond had kind of had enough of today, seeing as how it felt like it had lasted months and decided to venture back to his room. Kayrana checked their numbers on her Pokegear, said goodbye to them, and also especially to Amy, who had gotten along very well both with her and Aurai, and then went on to the counter to ask for some fresh orange juice, which the lady handed to her really fast, and started heading for her room. Today had been the first day she had gone to the cafeteria, and she had had a pretty fun time already. Plus, the food was really good. Aurai had liked it a lot too, and they had made many friends. But right now, they were eager to get a new friend to join them, since they couldn't find a Whimsicott that last time.

Arwyn, Rosa and Ivrant - A day at the beach!
Ivrant had arrived to the meeting place rather late after having to make a stop by the nearby Pokemon Center. That last battle didn't take as long as he thought it would have but still... he'd rather not think about that now. He was supposed to be having fun and stuff! He just hoped the others weren't too upset on him being so tardy.
“There you are!” Rosa waves as she breaks into a jog, hurriedly making her way to Ivrant. “Sorry I’m late.” She speaks once she stops, a nervous laugh escaping her lips. “I...got a little lost.”
"Haha, ah well at least I'm not the only one running late. I got into a it of a scuffle... uh I'll explain when we get to the beach. Comon lets go catch up to Arwyn." Ivrant said as he kept up his pace.
Arwyn meanwhile, was waiting in the beach. He was dressed in his Swimming trunks and a black jacket, and was just standing in front of the beach. ''Where are they? We planned to meet up 10 minutes ago.... ''
“Aw, man, and I missed it?” Rosa frowns, albeit a very fake looking frown. Oh-- oh no, Arwyn, they both kept him waiting…Her frown loses that playful quality as she once more begins jogging towards the beach, her ponytail flowing behind her. “I hope he’s not mad…”
Ivrant himself was dressed in black swim shorts and a grey T shirt. He was also trying his best to jog up and get to Arwyn asap. "Arwyn!" Ivrant called out as he caught his breath. "Gah... Sorry for running late. Its kind of a long story."
''Seriously guys? Why are you late? We were supposed to meet up more than 10 minutes ago, and here you are! What happened, you two?'' Arwyn seemed a bit upset. ''I almost thought you stood me up.''
“W-well…” Rosa stammers nervously. “I got sorta lost…” Again. “And then this really mean Spearow swooped down, and he picked up this poor Cottonee...and I chased it, and…” Rosa’s nervousness seems to vanish as she holds out one of her trademark Friendballs. “Meet Flannel.”
Upon the name being said, a burst of light erupts from the ball. It quickly darts onto Rosa’s head before taking the shape of a white cotton ball with large, excited eyes. “Nee!” It greets, waving with one of its ears.
Ivrant looked down at the Cottonee with a wide grin. "Well at least he's got a more comfortable home now. As for me I got caught up in a battle... n-now its not what you think!" Ivrant quickly jumped to defend himself. "On the way I bumped into this girl... well Buster did but you know how that goes. She just starts talking to me like I never trained a Pokemon in my life. I wasn't about to let that go unchecked! Granted the battle didn't exactly go too hot for me..." Ivrant sighed. "Comon lets find a spot to sit at I'll explain more there if ya guys want.
''Unbelievable. That Cottonee is very cute though. And you! Nothing can stop you from a battle, huh? And you lost? Well, let's find a place to sit down.'' It wasn't too busy at the beach. There were some people just sitting there with their Pokémon. Arwyn saw a girl with her Farfetch'd, and a boy with his Porygon. There really are all kind of people here, huh? Arwyn then saw a good place, it was reasonably close to the water, but not too close either. ''Let's sit here!''
“Flannel.” Rosa corrects. “He’s ninety-nine percent cotton.” Rosa can’t help but smile a little at the absolutely silly reason behind the nickname of her newest friend, who cries out happily when he’s called cute. As they walk towards the water, she begins unbuttoning her jacket to reveal her light blue bikini top. She then slides her jacket into her backpack and replaces it with her towel, which she unfolds and drapes over the hot sand. “We should be good here-- until high tide.”
Ivrant unpacked his towel as well and placed it down on the ground, glancing over to the other two as he did. He decided to tug off his shirt as well to start properly taking in the sun now that they were at the beach. Before he forgot, he sent out Knox to go an play in the sand. As soon as Knox was brought out, she seemed extremely happy to be in familiar territory. "Well took a few detours but we can sit and relax now."
Arwyn followed and took of his shirt as well, and put it in his bag. ''I'm used to being at the beach. I live in Undella town, there is water pretty much everywhere where I come from.'' Arwyn looked up at the sun and let Klink out to let it have some fun. He went over to Knox and stared at her. ''So, what are your hometowns like?''
As Rosa sits on her towel, Autumn is quick to sit by her side. The gem on her forehead gleams with a gentle sparkle as the sun-powered fox tilts her head towards the sky, her tail gently swaying in the breeze.
“Goldenrod is...big.” Rosa thinks aloud as she rubs behind Autumn’s ear. “Most of the buildings are skyscrapers...there’s this huge radio tower, and a giant supermart, and a really flashy game corner-- and Whitney.” Those last two words change Rosa’s somewhat disheartened tone to a pleasant one. “Our gym leader, she’s crazy strong.”
"Ah a city girl yourself huh?" Ivrant smiled. "I'm from Lumiouse City so its always pretty packed down there. Theres tourists passing by al the time to check out the restaurants, shops, our Gogoat taxi service, or challenging our Gym Leader Clemont. The gym is actually the huge tower in the center of the city believe it or not." Ivrant explained.
''So you are both city people, huh? The closest city to Undella Town is Humilau City, but I don't go there much. Cynthia, the champion of the Sinnoh Region, comes to visit our town often in the summer. She has her own vacation house.'' Arwyn looks at Rosa and Ivrant. ''You two look good in swimsuits, by the way.''
The words cause Rosa’s cheeks to turn a bright pink, which she attempts to hide by lying on her stomach; suddenly very interested in the sand beside her, where she begins to draw a tiny design in said sand with her finger. Quick, Rosa, change the subject! “Cynthia teaches a class here, doesn’t she? Do you think the other champions will ever come by?”
Rosa grabbed onto the last thing she remembered being said before the conversation took its turn, although it had an opposite effect to the one she wished for: Thinking of Champions meant thinking of Lance, and that did not help that stupid pink color fade from her face.
Ivrant seemed to feel a little awkward from the compliment but seemed to handle it fairly well at least. "Uh.. thanks you too!" Ivrant responded. Oh no that made it even more awkward for him. Quick! Change the subject to Rosa's subject! "I'd figure some other champions are here. I heard one semester they had an incident with Team Rocket sneaking into the school. Lance was here and led several students to take them down. I'd figure he'd be here every so often I'm sure." Ivrant said.
''Oh, uh, yeah, I just had a class with Cynthia. She's a cool teacher.'' Arwyn realized he had made it awkward , and started blushing. ''Hey, uh, should we .... swim? We are at the beach, after all. I enjoy swimming quite a lot. What about you?'' Arwyn looked over at Klink and Knox, they seemed to play together, which is good.''
At the mention of Lance, Ivrant had Rose’s full attention. Her drawing forgotten, she looked to him with eyes full of interest. “Really?” After hearing the stories of Lance taking Team Rocket down at the Lake of Rage, with the help of a young trainer, Rosa couldn’t help but hope that she would one day have the chance to prove herself to the Dragon Master in a similar way. It’s...probably too much to hope that will happen again. Actually...it’s probably not good to be hoping for an evil organization to take over the school to begin with. “That’s so cool…”
"Heheh... yeah it would be cool to battle with someone like that. Or battle against them! I've never personally met the champions myself... I occasionally see our regions champion in Lumiose City but that's about it. Ah... but yeah Arwyns got a point. We should head in the water! I didn't get a chance to swim last time I was here!" Ivrant said as he got right up onto his feet. "See you guys there!" Ivrant laughed as he made a dash toward the water.
Arwyn looks at Rosa. She is kind of starting to drool a little bit. As he watched her, Ivrant dashed towards the water. Arwyn let Rosa drool for a bit, she seemed almost hypnotized.... Arwyn headed towards the water after Ivrant. Arwyn got into the water carefully. The water felt good on his body. He quickly went into the water. He then looked at Ivrant.
Swim? Wait, what? Rosa blinks back to reality as Ivrant darts towards the water. Honestly, she didn’t really think about actually getting _in_ the water when she made the suggestion to go to the beach (given, she was under the influence of Sandygast at the time). Speaking of...where is the little sand ghost? She did promise to add to her sand pile once they got here. The boys will be fine on their own for awhile. Sitting up, Rosa begins pooling a large pile of wet sand towards her towel. “Maybe I should have brought a shovel…”
Knox crept on up to Rosa after spending some time with Klink once she was pooling up a pile of sand up. She seemed to be pleased that the trainer remembered to add to her sand pile!
Ivrant meanwhile leaned down and sat in the water. It was pretty darn cold so it took him a little while to really get used to it. "Phew... water isn't too bad uh?" Ivrant asked. "Havent gotten to swim around in a proper beach in awhile."
''Yeah the swimming is great. Despite living on a beach, I didn't swim that often. But it feels pretty good.....'' Arwyn looked up at the sky. The sky was blue. No clouds or anything. Arwyn felt... relaxed.. He is starting to finally forgot about that faithful night.... and about him. ''I guess Rosa isn't coming to swim, huh?''
“What kind of castle do you have in mind?” Rosa asks Knox as she begins shaping the sand. Every few seconds she would look out to the water to make sure Ivrant and Arwyn were still there; they seemed to be having fun, although sitting, on land, creating something with Pokemon seemed far more fun than flapping around in the water, trying to keep up with them and not getting shoved underwater by a wayward wave.
Knox crept up a little closer to the pile of sand and seemed to be bringing it up closer to her to help fortify her current form to keep it all nice and sturdy for the next time she leaves the beach. Though she did leave some there to make some more proper sand castles on the side! Or add more to it so that the castle Pokemon could get bigger and bigger...
"Hmm... yeah looks like it. Guess she didn't want to come and swim? Ah well she seems to be having fun with Knox at least." Ivrant said, moving his hand to splash Arwyn a bit playfully.
Klink seemed to look at Rosa and Knox. Klink headed over to see what's going on. He is going to investigate!
Arwyn seemed to like the splash. ''Hey, what's the deal with you?'' Arwyn gives Ivrant a smile and then splashes back in full force, not holding back!
Ivrant smirked right back. "Heh, alright your asking for it!" Ivrant responded using both of his arms to make a bigger splash toward him. "Don't make me bring out Buster! Chances are he'd beat both of us at this though." Ivrant laughed. Though now that he figured out how to break out of his ball the chances of that happening were fairly high.
“Wanna help, Klink?” Rosa smiles at the adorable little gear. “Can you help me find some shells for Knox’s sand castle?”
Klink agrees to the thing and starts doing what it can with the little gears it has. It looked adorable doing it.
''Haha, let's not try out that theory for practice. He'd injure us, I think.'' Arwyn stopped splashing and went underwater. There were surprisingly little fish Pokémon around. The only things he could see were Magikarp. Understandable, since they seem to be able to survive anywhere. Magikarp were kinda cute though.''
"Yeah haha... lets just hope he dosn't break out of his ball again... ah-" He noticed Arwyn moved underwater. Ivrant wasn't quite that bold to go under the cold beach water but the guy seemed to be pretty used to do that kinda thing. He could feel a Magikarp or two swiming past him in the water he was submerged in. At least they were mostly harmless in this stage.
Arwyn swims up. ''Hmm? You're not coming underwater? I thought you would be the bold type, haha.'' Arwyn smiles into Ivrant's general direction, soaking wet. ''I'm enjoying myself here, what about you?''
"Haha, hey I might take that as a challange! I'm enjoying myself too!" Ivrant chuckled as he also followed suit and moved underwater to take a look down there... though he wasn't quite used to opening his eyes down there. Salt Water was a doozy. He quickly emerged back up and spat out some water that got in his mouth. "pfft! Not so used to that. Heheh..."
''Hahaha, this is why you should keep your eyes closed while in the water.'' Arwyn looks up for a second. ''Thanks for being so nice to me, and all. I really appreciate it. I didn't use to have many friends, but you are certainly a good friend.''
"Eheh... ya think so?" Ivrant said with a bashful grin. "I try to do my best. I don't like to come off as a total jerk in front of people and all so I'm glad you find me such a nice friend. Heh. I can say the same with you bud." Ivrant smiled. "Not too shabby of a battler either! We should get together to train one of these days. I need to step my game up after that last battle."
''Well. We should go soon. We have classes again tomorrow, and I need to do some studying, i'm afraid. What about you?'' He looks Ivrants way.
"Yeah. Definately going to need to put some work in." Ivrant crossed his arms. "I gotta reach Buster some better behavior especially."
''C'mon, then lets swim back to the shore then.'' As Arwyn swims back he calls out to Rosa. ''Hey Rosa, we should be going back by now, what about you?''
"One second!" Rosa calls as she puts her finishing touches on the sandcastle she and the Pokemon had begun building, after adding a large amount of sand to Knox's collection. The castle-- upon inspection, isn't so much a castle as it is a tower, a sand-replica of the Burned Tower in Ecruteak City. After placing a decorative on the bottom to serve as a door, Rosa scoops Klink into her hand and rushes to meet with her friends, the other Pokemon at her heels. "Did you two have fun out there?"
"Mmmhmm! I'll say that's a good way to call they day right?" Ivrant smiled as he nudged Arwyn. He moved on over to his bag and pulled out the ball to return Knox back. "Next time we should go on a small adventure together in the island! Or have a training session! Guess homework is gonna dictate our schedules though huh?"

Capture a Whimsicott!
Kayrana ambled out of the cafeteria, holding Aurai in her hands. Her first meal at the cafeteria turned out to be quite fun: they served all sorts of delicious foods, and she finally met some trainers. Yet right now, all her mind paid attention to was how they seemed to have at least two Pokemon, while she was only with Aurai. Of course, Aurai had been her best friend ever since she met her, and she was more than enough for Kayrana… yet, she wondered if it’d be a good thing to have a new friend come along. “Oh, what do you think?” she mumbled as she walked past the many students in the halls. Aurai simply nodded, comfortably still in Kayrana’s hands… and very sleepy. “Then I guess we shall go to the forest, uh?”
They reached their room easily this time, even though Kayrana was basically just heading on without thinking much of directions, as always. First thing she did was grab a Ganlon berry from the pot (they had already flourished!), and give it to Aurai. “If you want, we can just rest--” Aurai got atop Kayrana’s right shoulder, munching the berry, and pointed to the window, to the forest. Aurai knew this would be a great thing for both of them, and she wanted Kayrana to progress, too! “Alright, alright!” she giggled. “Then onwards to the adventure!” both of them smiled. Kayrana grabbed her backpack, placed inside it the Dex and Gear, an empty berry pot, and one Pokeball, and they went outside to head towards the forest.
Not long after, they were already in the outskirts of the forest, with the mountains just at their right. Today was, again, a hot and suny day. Kayrana was already feeling a bit nauseated and disoriented, more accustomed to mild weather, being from Oldale Town, between the forests. She had changed her clothes, now wearing a blueish sleevess shirt, green shorts that went down almost to her knee, and her favourite light-blue trainers. As they walked inwards, she hoped that the vast treetops would block most sunlight and provide a fair weather; they had only seen as much as a little Oddish that ran off as soon as she saw them, though Kayrana did manage to get her Dex out of her backpack: ‘Oddish. This Pokémon is typically found roaming the forest, scattering pollen as it walks around.’
“What do you think? We have been lucky so far… not jumping into any furious Gogoat this time.” Kayrana said as she looked back to Aurai, who was looking for herbs and raised one reproaching eyebrow at her. She took the hint and, keeping her gaze on Aurai, “well, yes. I know, I am trying to be more mindful of my surroundings now, yup,” she rambled on, but when she looked back ahead, it was just to bump into a Burmy which was well-cloaked as a plant, hanging from a tree. Her Dex was the first thing to drop, making a light thud sound; then Kayrana fell on her back on a smooth pile of leaves, but unconscious, much to the dismay of Aurai, who had rushed forward as fast as possible, but had been unable to do anything.
She got on top of Kayrana and started shouting for her to wake up, but to no use. She almost panicked for a bit, but remember maybe she could call one of the trainers they had met earlier; when she was about to open the backpack, she heard a light whoosh coming from her right, and turned her gaze to see a fluffy Pokemon who jumped lightly and gracefully just in front of her and above Kayrana, leaving traces of cotton fluff on its way. This was followed by slithering sounds and annoyed cries coming from the same direction, an Ekans and a Nidorino, covered in fluff, followed behind, about to pass right through Kayrana. Aurai acted fast, and focused on creating a big Psychic wave to make them go away. And to all this conmotion did Kayrana wake up. She managed to look at Aurai just before she unleashed a pinkish Psychic wave big enough to hit both approaching Pokemon, but not strong enough to damage them much, if anything, they were simply slowed down and were now more furious.
All this scene had been watched by the Whimsicott, who had stopped jumping, only to make a huge brink over both Kayrana and Aurai, whipping up a Gust that sent the Ekans, who tried to skim below it, flying up to a tree meters away; it decided to just slither down and away after that. But the Nidorino kept going strong, not giving in, firm on its feet. In fact, while the power of the Whimsicott’s gust was receding, the Nidorino’s resilience seemed to just get better, as it kept on pushing on, heading towards the Whimsicott.
Aurai had been trying to muster up a Shadow Ball now, but Kayrana slightly put her hand around Aurai’s, “Should rather Teleport now, at my cue,” she whispered, and then proceeded to stand up, only to hold Aurai and go straight to hug the Whimsicott, whose Gust was basically just a light breeze now. Aurai teleported with Nidorino already close, and the three were transported to safety to a different part of the forest, this time quite far from where they had been battling. Kayrana had reappeared “Sorry, Aurai! I just thought that that Nidorino did not seem to ever want to stop chasing Whimsicott, and it was really strong! This wouldn’t have happened were I conscious. Am I just a bad trainer? I can’t even keep on with directions… and if you had gotten hurt… I just…” Kayrana ranted in a fast voice—that grew creaky by the second—inattentive of anything else, as she looked at Aurai who was standing on her lap, Kayrana was sitting with her legs to one side. Aurai hugged her and tried to comfort her “Ralts, Ra, Ralts!”, suddenly she climbed on top of Kayrana’s right shoulder and grabbed her necklace, as Kayrana followed with her eyes on the verge of crying; Aurai then with one hand on the necklace, used the other to point to Kayrana, and then to herself. Then she went back down and grabbed Kayrana’s hand with both her little hands and stood there caressing her hand. Kayrana laid down, not even getting her backpack out of her back, while Aurai was on top of her, also laying down. She was a tad more calm now—but still with little tears on her eyes—and after a beautiful moment—that seemed for her to last minutes—a startling “Whimsi” was heard. She looked to her left, and there she was, still, the Whimsicott.
“Oh, thoughtya would’ve left by now.” Kayrana spoke fast as she laughed and let some tears go down her cheeks. I guess, why not? She pulled out her journal slowly and started sketching something as the Whimsicott waited intently.
After a while, she had finished a very rough sketch of Whimsicott jumping, a Nidorino behing with lots of cotton-balls on it, and Kayrana and Aurai watching. She showed it to the Whimsicott. “Now, you sure are a prankster! But don’t go doing such perilous things. That Nidorino was--” she was cut off by the Whimsicott ruffling her cotton against her. Kayrana giggled, “Ah, that tickles!” she said as she caressed the fluffly Pokemon with her right hand.
Meanwhile, Aurai browsed through the backpack and got out a PokeBall. It was hand-painted light-green with a few leaves on a more dark green. Aurai then walked up on top of Kayrana and showed it to her. “Oh, you think she wants to come… with us?” The Whimsicott heard what she had said and nodded a few times.
“Oh, I can’t believe it!” her eyes lit up and she got up quite fast and bent down a bit, with the PokeBall in her left hand. “Are you sure?” The Whimsicott kept nodding. “I’m so flattered!” she gazed at Aurai, who was now jumping, excited for her Trainer. “Look, Aurai, we are so lucky, we got such a cutie to join us. Are we that good?” Aurai couldn’t help but smile too as her trainer showed such cheerfulness. Kayrana held the PokeBall and touched the Whimsicott’s forehead with it. The Whimsicott entered the PokeBall gladly. Just a second later, Kayrana let her out of her Ball, now the Whimsicott jumped in circles around them happily. “I’ll have to think up a name for you, if you wish.” she told the Whimsicott, who kept jumping. Aurai rolled her eyes: she knew with her indecision, she would likely never get to a final resolution.
“Shall we go back, then? We should treat you both at the PokeCenter so you can rest.” she said as she put the PokeBall in her backpack. Whimsicott and Aurai followed Kayrana at her sides.
Tomorrow will be a new day for Kayrana and her friends, what adventures will be awaiting for her? What new threat will they have to face and overcome? Are Aurai and Whimsicott already getting along? Not to mention, where is Kayrana’s Pokedex? Ah, seems like she never learns!

Eric had finally finished his burrito, and took his tray to what he knew was the station where the "busser", assuming that was the correct term, would bring it to be washed.
Eric had unique tastes in food. The Pyroar that took him in as their own for the first ten or so odd years of his life just ate whatever prey was available, if a hunt was successful. Eric remembered that the young Litleo he grew up with taught him how to sneak off from the pride and forage for berries if there wasn't any prey. The elders of the pride frowned upon it, but knew the little ones would starve without proper nutrition.
Peggy taught him how to cook some simple food for several years before the tragedy, Arceus bless her heart.
He just kept on walking towards the exit, and just kept on going.
Eric was reminiscing a little too much, and didn't even realize he was already almost a mile away, enduring some lush, but rocky terrain.
Eric felt nostalgic for this landscape, because it reminded him of where the female Pyroar would hunt for assorted prey.
He was much too busy taking in his surroundings, thus he wasn't even paying attention, and almost walked off a ledge.
A wild Sandile was following him for some reason, and the little Desert Croc latched itself onto Eric's pant leg, right as Eric was about to take a step that might have led to his death.
Sandile then dragged him into the shade, letting go of his leg, and just staring at him with a "What were you even THINKING?" sort of look, as much as a reptilian Pokémon could make such a face.
The Sandile, which was female apparently, was somehow using Pokémon-Speak to say something along the lines of "Be careful!". Eric then took and empty Pokeball from his backpack, and rolled it over to Sandile.
Sandile stood there, clueless for a few seconds, and nudged the Pokeball, intentionally letting itself be captured. One, Two.. Three! *click* Eric "caught" Sandile?! Level 9
Eric then got up, picked up his new comrade's Pokeball, and started to walk back to his dorm before it got dark.

Ivrant quickly made his way back into his room and didn't hesitate to throw off his bathing suit and get dressed into some proper sleepwear. Well, really it was just a pair of boxers and a white undershirt really. Good enough for him. "Ugghhh what a day. At least it ended well enough. Hmm... should check on Dynamo to see if he's recovered from that last battle..." Ivrant thought to himself as he pulled out Dynamo's ball and let him pop out. The flaming D effect from the ball would still play out but Dynamo didn't seem so enthused to play along with the flashy intro. The Rosellia looked up at Ivrant and just looked upset. It seemed more dissapointed in itself rather then with his trainer. "I know Dynamo your taking that loss pretty hard. I'm with you there. We weren't ready for any of those moves and we paid the price. Next time we battle with her we'll just have to be more careful. We need to get the rest of our team into fighting condition. And maybe more..." Dynamo still didn't seem to be having his spirits lifted from that. Losing was one thing but that was flat out being ragdolled around and on top of that, humiliated. He was glad nobody else was watching at the very least. "...Alright Dynamo how about this? I had a feeling we might get into this spot sooner or later. So I brought something along just incase you needed some cheering up or motivation." Ivrant smiled as he ran over to the closet and dug around though his briefcases to search for his remedy. He pulled out a few DVDs of various action movies and anime of course. Dynamo loved watching these back home while Ivrant was doing homework or playing around with various Pokeball Seals. "We still got a bit of time tonight. How bout we have a movie night huh? See if you can get some new ideas. Here you'll like this one! The main character fights very similar to how you do. He's a a honorable fighter but a the same time he has an affinity for magic and uses that to save cities and fight off villains. Sounds right up your ally dosn't it?" Ivrant smiled. Dynamo seemed to quickly get excited looking at the front cover of the dvd. The character was clad in red with a black half-cape blowing behind him. He was also wielding a rapier which appealed to Dynamo completely. He was of course accompanied by a Pokemon as well similarly dressed. It was a Delphox funny enough. ( i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/951/031/feb.jpg ) "Hehe, well I'll put it on. We can watch one before we go to bed alright Dynamo? Lets see if you can steal anything cool from this. I'll see if I can come up with any new ideas for training while we d-" Dynamo shook his head at Ivrant before he finished. "Ah... want me to just sit and watch with ya?" Ivrant asked. Dynamo smiled, excitedly waiting for Ivrant to put the movie on. "Alright then Dynamo. We'll relax for the night. But tomorrow we're gonna get our team in business. After today we aren't going to be so easily dominated. We'll beat that girl next time for sure." Ivrant said as he pressed the play button and sat down beside Dynamo to watch some flashy action right before their eyes. "Maybe I should have got snacks before coming back..." Ivrant muttered to himself but Dynamo seemed far too engaged to care.

Tobias, After the Cafeteria
After having Lunch with Kayrana and Desmond, Tobias left the Cafeteria and went up to his room. He opened the door, and grabbed his backbag, which contained a few pokéballs and potions. He looked at the clock. "Its almost 4 PM, i'd better hurry if I want to go back before it gets dark. He closed the door, and headed to the forest. It took an hour or so for him to reach his destination. Tall trees, and tall grass surrounded the area, giving it a mysterious aura. He walked for a few minutes, enjoying his surroundings, then he said "This is a quiet and calm spot to train, dont you think?," He said ashe put Amy on the ground, and stood up "Alright! Hondege use Shadow Sneak, Amy use Feather Dance." The sword pokemon glowed, as its shadow extended, and attacked the Piplup from behind. The small penguin held its ground, and shone in a light blue glow, as a mass of feathers appeared and were hurled at the Honedge. "Now Honedge use Rock Slide, amy use Scald." Rocks appeared near the Honedge, and were hurled at the Piplup. The latter did its best to dodge some of the rocks, and retaliated with a stream of hot boiling water shotfrom its beck. After a bit of training, he took out a couple of optinos and healed up Honedge and Amy. "Hehehe..." Tobias's face grew white, as he saw a person standing before him. This person looked exactly like him. "W-who a-are y-you.." Said Toby in a shaky voice. The strange person walked up to him repeating the same laugh "Hehehe..." Hold on.. I think i've seen this before He thought to himself, as he quickly pulled out his pokédex Zorua, the trickyfox pokemon. To protect themselves from danger, they hide their true identities by transforming into people and Pokémon." "Z-zorua.. are you trying to give me a heart attack. you will pay for this! Honedge use Shadow Sneak." Honedge extended its shadow and prepared to attack, as Zorua shifted back to his original form. The black tricky fox took the attack and smirked. And before Tobias could speak, Zorua retaliated with a Dark Pulse, and attempted to flee. He, finally, managed to collect his thoughts, and said "No you are not running away, Amy! Scald right now" The Piplup, upon hearing the command, shot a stream of boiling water which hit the fleeing fox, and forced it to stop running. It tried to attack with Shadow Ball, but he was faster and threw a pokeball, at the, somewhat dizzy, Zorua. One, two, three shakes and the small device stopped moving. "I don't even know how to feel about this, it was a long day, lets go guys" Honedge got back to its sheathe, as he picked up the pokeball and stuffed it into his pocket. He then picked up Amy and held her in his arms, as he walked back to the Pokémon Trainer Academy. Tobias went to the Academy's pokemon center and handed the pokeball, that contained his newly caught pokemon, to the nurse, as well as Hoonedge and Amy 'You need to get healed too" He said, as the nurse disappeared for a bit. A few minutes later she came back and said" Your pokemon are back at full health, take care" Said the nurse in a soothing voice before she went back to her business. "Come out Zorua" He said, as the pokeball opened and after the blue light was gone, Zorua appeared. He held the black fox in his arms and said "Nice to meet you, i hope we can become friends." Zorua transformed to the humanoid form, that looked like Tobias. "Oh come on Zorua! don't do this" He said while frowning a bit. Zorua then transformed back to his original form. "Hm what should i name you.. Oh i know, i'm gonna name you Ruby," He said to the small fox, then he looked to Honedge and said" i finally found a cool name for you, i will call you Ike." With that, he went up, back to his room, locked the door behind him, changed into his black tanktop and boxers, lied on his bed, and closed his eyes to get some sleep. Amy and Ruby slept next to Tobias while Ike preffered to stay in his sheathe.

Eric made it back safely to his dorm room.
The next morning, he planned on sleeping in, but he heard a scream for help outside his window.
Eric rushed to get dressed, but he could only get on a pair of shorts, because whoever was screaming sounded like they were in trouble.
Eric darted out the door, and saw a female student, with a dark skin tone and hair the color of Murkrow feathers.
She turned to Eric, with a twinge of fear in her eyes.
"Bubastis is stuck up in that tree! Please, help her!" The young lady told Eric.
Now Eric was kind of glad he didn't have time to get a shirt on, since the extra clothing would hinder his ability to climb. Plus, he thought this girl was actually kind of cute. She reminded him of his dearly departed Peggy, for a number of reasons.
Eric was a little embarrassed to be honest, but decided to show off.
He made his way up the tree trunk, and saw a dark gray feline Pokemon on a large branch, certainly terrified.
Eric made his way to the branch, carefully. However, he was a bit rusty at climbing. He almost lost balance a few times.
Bubastis, the Alolan Meowth, looked down at the ground, deathly afraid of heights.
Eric made a few small clicks and chirps toward the frightened feline, as an attempt to reassure her.
Eric gently picked up Bubastis, and scaled down the mighty three more carefully than when he went up.
The Meowth jumped into her Trainer's arms.
"You had me worried sick, Bubastis!" The girl said. "Thank you so much! Eric Damon, is it?"
Eric was happy to help, but unsure of how this young lady knew his name.
"Yup, uh... That's me, alright! And also, I was just happy to help!" Eric stuttered, not sure what else to say. "I didn't get your name, milady..."
"Oh, sorry! I'm Esther. How can I ever repay you?" She replied.
Eric thought for a moment. "Just, umm.... Tell everyone... Uh... You know what? Just don't worry about it. I'm just a wild boy who did a good deed." He explained, unsure of what to say.
Esther proceeded to give Eric a gentle peck on the cheek, catching him completely off guard, causing his face to turn bright red.
"My older sister is a very powerful Trainer on Akala island, in the Alola region. If it's not too much to ask, could you help me become stronger one day, Eric?"
Eric nodded, and his confidence became much higher than it has been in months.
Esther smiled and walked off, Bubastis sleeping in her arms. Eric then proceeded to go back inside and continue getting ready for the day.
(Eric's charisma grew 10 points! Met Esther! Feeling great!)
When Eric got dressed, he noticed a strange envelope go under his door into his room.
He opened it without hesitation.
"Dear Sir Eric Damon,
I have heard of your troubled past involving the nefarious group known as Team Rocket.
I am part of a special group of Trainers who can use the power of the Aura. I am next in line for the title of Supreme Crusader. You are my only living relative. As such, I am writing you on behalf of the Pokemon Crusaders, to help our fight for justice.
You may not know it yet, but we were all outcasts once, just like you. We need your help just as much as you need ours. We have a common enemy, you know. I know exactly how much you loved that Ranger girl who was killed during the Silph company bombing last year.
If you accept our offer, there is a private aircraft that will be waiting for you around the time you received this letter. It will take you to an undisclosed location. Please kindly refrain from telling anyone about us. If you look to your left, your belongings will be neatly backed in a fancy briefcase. Don't hesitate. Nobody should know we were here.
May the Aura light your way to justice,
Sincerely
Your Great Uncle Osiris."
Eric put the letter in his pocket, grabbed the mysterious briefcase, darted outside, and the unidentifiable flying machine silently sent a ramp for him, bringing him to his destiny, then flying off as quickly as it arrived.

Day 3
The days passed by at The Pokemon Trainer Academy, the heat of summer slowly beginning to give way to the bright colours of Autumn. Over the next week the students continued to work hard both in and out of class, buckling down now that their education had begun in earnest but the school grounds were already abuzz with talk of Halloween and what it would soon bring. There was discussion of costumes and events and the more enthusiastic Trainers, usually the Ghost Type specialists, could already be seen getting their decorations up early. No matter how much anticipation for the holiday there was however the students would have to carry on with their daily routines in the meantime...
The weather still carried the warmth of summer but blustery winds were beginning to make their presence felt, leading to an odd mix of fashion across the campus as some students used to colder climes were still in their shorts and t-shirts while those from the sunnier regions were already feeling the chill. The island still seemed free of much rainfall, though some teachers had started to warn that heavy and unexpected showers weren't uncommon at this time of year.
The usual morning routine was beginning to play out as everyone pulled themselves from their beds and started to prepare for the day ahead. Only time will tell what adventures today will bring as the journey continues...

The sun rays shone through the window intensly, warming up the room and signaling the beginning of a new day. Tobias slowly opened his eyes, then stretched and yawned. He got up, and wore some shorts, and went to the nearby restrooms to wash his face. After he was done he got back to his room, and put on his white shirt, green tie and his black-and-white sneakers. He wore his backbag, put on his black belt, put on his camera and hid it under his shirt. Ike, Amy and Ruby were awake as well. Ruby nudged him as if to say that she was hungry. "I'm hungry too Ruby, we'll go get something to eat soon do not worry" He said, as he crouched and gently petted Zorua. After he finished prepareing himself for the new day, Tobias put Ruby in his backbag, held Amy with his arm, and locked the door behind him. He headed toward the Cafeteria. Once he was there, he walked toward the counter and said "Good morning, may I have a glass of moomoo milk, and a dish of berries?" The lady behind the counter smiled and said "Sure thing sweety, i will be right back." A few minutes later, she returned and handed him a plate with a glass of moomoo milk, and a plate filled with different berries. "Thank you" He said, as he walked to a nearby table, and sat on a chair. Ruby jumped out of the bag, while he put Amy on the table. Ike is not really hungry, as it can eat any time it wants, but he did not really know if there was another way to feed a ghost type. I'll probably have to ask a teacher when classes start He thought as he ate a few berries, and sipped the contents of his glass. After he finished eating, he brought the plate back to the lady behind the counter, and went to the library. In the library, he picked a book called ' How to deal with a scared pokemon' ,then he chose a table near a window, and sat. "I'll read this book, i guess. to pass some time untill classes start" Toby said, as he opened the book and started reading its contents.

Ivrant and Rylie Breakfast Time- Part 1
Ivrant finally woke up, thankfully not passing out after watching the movie with Dynamo. How could he pass out? That film was awesome! Seeing them flip around, use swordplay and magic at the same time... that was about as action hero as it got! He sure had a good idea what his costume was gonna be when halloween came up but one thing at a time. It was a new day and he had to get ready! Well... after breakfast anyways. He didn't have to exactly look nice for that right? Though may as well change it up! He opted to hop in the shower first. At that rate, he decided to just get fully dressed after he was done with it. "I hope Dynamo got some motivation watching that... next training is going to be awesome!" Ivrant thought to himself excitedly as he let the water clean him off. After he was done he headed on out to his room and started to dig around for what outfit he was going to wear for the day. "Hmm...looking a bit nicer for breakfast at the least is a nice change of pace." Ivrant pondered as he started to brush up his hair to make sure it went down straight. Ivrant put on a blue collared T-shirt and a pair of grey jeans. Simple but hey it matched the theme of his dorm at least. "hm! Alright should be good to go!" Meanwhile, Rylie looked up from her laptop as she began to hear noises come from the hall. “Sounds like everyone is finally waking up, guess I can finish this tonight.” She muttered to herself, looking down at the clock on her desktop. Quickly saving and closing down the paper she was working on she gave a long, exhausted stretch as she began to stand up, accidentally disturbing the body sleeping in her lap. “Oh, sorry kit!” she blurted out as the Vulpix began to hastily claw for any kind of hold as she fell. Quickly, Rylie bent over to pick up the rather frustrated fox “Forgot you were sleeping there, sorry…” She tried apologizing again to no real effect. Giving a bit of a shrug, she draped Kit over her shoulder before grabbing her pack, only somewhat surprised this time by how heavy it was. “Dang, this egg needs to hurry up and hatch before I hurt my back…” She complained before making her way out the door and into the hall, headed towards breakfast.
Just as Ivrant made his way out the door it didn't take too long for him to spot Rylie. At this rate, meeting up with her was turning into the regular morning routine so he quickly waved at her. For once he was at least dressed well before breakfast time. "Rylie!" Ivrant called out, waving out to her. Dynamo was right beside Ivrant as he waved back as well. "Hows the morning going for ya?
“Well, I’m already mentally exhausted and I haven’t even made it to class today. Guess it serves me right thinking I can make any real progress on this paper before then.” She complained. As usual she was fully, albeit lazily, dressed. Holding true to her claim of being an early bird. “In any case it’s clearly treating you well considering you managed to dress for breakfast finally.”
"Hehe, yup. Had a bit of a movie night with Dynamo so still got a bit of adrenaline from that rush. We've been watching a series of flicks the past few days just to help motivate him a bit. But a paper huh? You'll have to tell me about it when we get to breakfast. I haven't gotten any kind of assignments like that going for me yet." Ivrant said, starting to walk beside her.
“Ugh, I don’t wanna talk about it… The less I think about it the better at this point. I’m more interested in what classes you’ve been taking where you don’t have to write papers, and more importantly what do I have to do to get into them?!” she inquired, hoisting kit further up onto her shoulder as she began to slip a bit.
"Hehe, well... today I'm getting mixed into a class about fairy types. I'm pretty sure Buster is one so that ought to be interesting. I havent really taught him anything to compliment that kinda typing... most of the paperwork I've had I usually finish up during class assuming I get the chance." Ivrant looked up to Kit and gave her a small smile. "Looks like Kits doing well. How's that ball seal working out? No malfunctions or anything right?I can modify it if you have other cool ideas for it."
“Huh, well looks like I’m working towards that goal already, I’m in that one as well, assuming for kit here. Maybe I’ll luck out and escape paper free, Or maybe you’re finally getting your first. We’ll see I guess. Either way, The seal would probably work out fine if I could get her to stay in the ball without whining. Past week or so I’ve only kept her in it when she begins to act up. Last thing I need is her starting a snow shower in class.” She said rolling her eyes, giving a bit of an annoyed look at her attention hungry fox.
"Hehe, ah that's a shame. Yeah maybe its about time I got a good amount of homework to to work on. I figure most teachers don't want to cram too much or we'd never have time to train our own Pokemon. Either that or they'd have homework related to training or something like that you know? Just how I'd picture a trainer school to work." Ivrant's stomach started to growl rather loudly. "Yikes... lets get to the food before it explodes huh?" Ivrant chuckled as they would eventually arrive to the fresh smell of breakfast in the suicune dorm.
“Maybe you could use the work but I have stuff I’d like to do.” She complained a bit, pulling out the familiar, Icy print stone from her jacket pocket. As she moved her arm Kit slowly began to slide off her shoulder. “I’ve hardly been able to look into this thanks to the…”
Kit began to clamber quickly up Rylie’s vest as she began to fall, digging her claws deep in attempt to stop it. Rylie taken by surprise couldn’t help but lose her balance, falling forward with both the stone and Kit being almost thrown in result. A loud “Tick” and a yelp from a panicked fox could be heard rather clearly in result.
“Oww…” Rylie began with a little bit of a whine. She managed to catch herself somewhat, only falling to her knees in result. Kit, landing on her back, quickly scrambled up to her feet. She was mostly unharmed, however very disgruntled.
Ivrant was going to reach forward to at least help catch one of them but before he could even react it was too late and the two ended up falling. "Ah! You alright Rylie?" Ivrant asked as he moved up closer offering to help her up. Dynamo moved over to Kit and used her vines to help the fox get back and steady onto her feet. "Seems like she has a bit of a rough time staying on ya huh?" What was that tick noise though? It was rather loud...
“Yeah, I’m fine..” she muttered, too embarrassed to accept the help. Picking herself up she gave ivrant a bit of a strange look when he mentioned the ticking noise. “What are you… The egg!” She panicked. Pulling the bag from her shoulder and quickly checking inside of it. The incubator seemed fine however, not even a scratch on it or the light blue egg inside. Rylie gave a quiet sigh in relief, that thing was surely durable.
Kit however was not very accepting of Dynamo’s help. When the other pokemon approached her she quickly tensed up, the snowy fur on her back spiking up as the temperature quickly began to fall. "Kit! No!" Rylie shouted, rummaging through her bag looking for her ball.
Dynamo stepped back and stared Kit in the eye. The Pokemon did seem a bit improper trying to make physical contact with a mon he barely knew and all. "We do not need to begin a scene here Kit. I apologize for stepping out of bounds." Dynamo spoke out toward Kit, still cautious of any kind of approach. Ivrant was at least happy the egg was okay though... he was most worried about that. But now he had to make sure that no fights broke out.
Kit tensed up even more, clearly she was not calming down anytime soon at this rate. Taking a step back with her front paw, she began to growl. A gentle snowfall beginning to pick up in the immediate area before being quickly interrupted by a bright red light engulfing the fox, returning her to her ball. “S-Sorry, I should have mentioned she’s not the biggest fan of other Pokémon… Even with Hakan it took me a few days to get her to behave.” She said, practically glowing red in embarrassment at this point.
Ivrant gave off a sigh of relief. "Ahh... well its alright. Buster is still having some behavior issues himself. He at least can battle competently but outside of that he just wants to run everything over." Ivrant shrugged. Dynamo brushed off one of the stray snowflakes that almost engulfed the cafeteria and glanced over to where all of the food was being served.
“Kit’s just High-strung, I’m just hoping she’ll grow out of it eventually. At least I caught it rather quick this time. I got into some trouble the first time it happened, Didn’t realize what was going on until the hallway floor was already a sheet of ice.” She explained, Ignoring the small amount of snow walking over to pick up her stone. “Hm?” she inquired as she picked it up, a small amount of sand being left behind where it was before.
Ivrant took a look down in at the sand that was left behind by the stone and then at the stone itself. "Hmm? uh... what happened to it?" Ivrant asked.
“Something… Here, I’ll let you see it in a bit. First get something to eat! I’m kinda tired of hearing your stomach growl.” Rylie said in an annoyed tone.
"U-uh... yeah! Sure thing! We can check it out later." Ivant smiled. "Comon Dynamo lets get something to munch on." He said before quickly heading on over to the counter. That was one girl Ivrant did not want to get angry... something about that tone just sounded very commanding. Ivrant ordered himself some chipped beef, topped over toast with warm cream. A tasty combination if anything. Ivrant never had it before but the combiation of food sounded to interesting to pass up. Once he got food for himself ans his mon he made his way back to one of the tables and sat down.

Winter, and on to Diantha's class
Kayrana, Aurai, and Whimsicott were sleeping soundly, all in the same bed. The day they met Aurai—and just after they came out of the PokeCenter—Kayrana noticed something wedged deep inside Whimsi’s cotton fur: a Cheri Berry. She got super excited about that, and when they got to the room, she first showed Whimsi the Berry she and Aurai were growing, as well as showing her how the new Cheri Berry should be planted. Whimsi was very happy for her trainer’s appreciation of Berries that she jumped all over the little room, leaving cotton balls here and there, much to Kayrana’s dismay, who of course couldn’t get angry with her new cotton-covered friend. When Kayrana woke up, she did so snuggling with Aurai; meanwhile, Whimsi had fallen from the mattress and was now sleeping on her back on the floor. Kayrana tried to snuggle out as slowly as possible as not to wake Aurai up, but the Psychic Pokemon opened its eyes as soon as Kayrana moved. “Ah, good morning!” she said stretching out, then giving Aurai a kiss on her forehead. “Today we have classes again. And... after that I was thinking, maybe we could go even deeper into the forest.” Aurai gave a sligt nod while they watered the two Berry Pots. As they prepared their backpack, they were interrupted by Whimsi, who rolled along the room. “Morning, Whimsi!” Whimsicott waved with her little hand and kept on rolling. She seemed to be having quite a lot of fun! “Ralts!” Aurai moved her arms around and made nibbling gestures. “Oh, of cooooouuuurse I remember breakfast.” Although we didn’t really dine last night. Finally, Kayrana looked out the window: the climate seemed to be getting breezier and colder. She grabbed Aurai and—with her two hands—held her in the air, close to the window. “Winter’s ahead!” Whimsi jumped on her place, and Kayrana quickly took the hint and giggled. “I wouldn’t forget my favorite cotton ball!” and she did the same she had done with Aurai. Now, Aurai wasn’t exactly jealous, but she wasn’t accostumed to having to ‘share’ Kayrana either, which made her kind of anxious. Nevertheless, she had been getting along well with Whimsi: she had told her what an amazing girl Kayrana was and a myriad of other little things about her, while Whimsi often mused about what she used to do on the forest. Still, Aurai couldn’t help but feel… odd. Understandably, as she had been the only one to Kayrana for many years, and because-- “Oh,” Kayrana said looking back at Aurai, “today we should practice a new move, Aurai!” she paused, “And we can also learn more about what Whimsi can do and what we can teach her.” she smiled and went on, now back to Whimsi, holding her face with her cupped hands “Are you not thrilled, Whimsi?”After brushing her teeth and taking a shower, Kayrana easily chose what to wear: loose long turqoise jeans, her usual light-blue trainers, and an orange button-up shirt with the Raikou jacket atop of it. Then, the three went down to the Cafeteria, apparently pretty late since there weren’t many students to be seen in the hallways. Kayrana went over to the counter and asked for a ‘pear plus banana plus oatmeal plus seeds’ and a berry salad for her two companions. When they got their food, they went over to an empty table and started munching right away; the two Pokemon having fun on the table while Kayrana fed them Berries every now and then. When the bowls were empty, she returned them to the counter, and they proceeded to head towards the board where the classes are assigned: apparently, they were in the ‘Fairy-Type’ class. “Makes sense, since you cuties are both Fairies!” she said while lifting them both on her hands. “Now, let’s see… Professor Diantha… whoever that is. Classroom 1-A, wherever that is.” Of course, Diantha was a Pokemon Champion, but Kayrana couldn’t know any less about Kalos, to be honest.

Desmond Allen Age: 13
Desmond sat down in his room's chair and worked on getting his shoes on, while silently reflecting on the past few days. He had spent most of his time traveling the grounds of the island, particularly the amenities the school offered. What especially caught his and pokemon's eye, save for the food stuffing beetle, was the library. There he could sit in silence and read about the topics that interested him. During this past week he particularly did a lot of reading about Mega Evolution. He didn't know much about it going in other than that it was some Kalosian phenomenon. Afterwards though, Desmond found himself in awe of the capabilities that added. All kinds of Pokemon were capable of it, including two of his own Pokemon! In addition there were some legendaries that also experienced their own versions called Primal Reversion and Ultra formes. This elated Desmond to learn about more ways to bring out the full potential of his Pokemon. If he was going to be the best trainer on the island he was going to need to master Mega Evolution. He quickly made a request to the administration to let him into the class being offered on the subject but was quickly rebuffed on the basis he was nowhere near ready to be taking on such an advanced class. Though he was a more than a bit annoyed by the dismissal, he figured they were probably right. Only the greatest trainers in the world were capable of the bond that goes with the phenomenon. He would just have to work harder than ever to reach that level.
During one of his reading sessions, he was the point of attention by a familiar face. Daro, his longtime friend, and his partner, Rhyhorn, had noticed him sitting alone in his isolated reading nook. Since their first day encounter, the few times they did see each other was typically characterized by Daro ignoring Desmond or some snide remark. On occasion, when a faculty member was present, he was not a total jerk. Desmond, as unlikely as he knew it was, hoped this was one of those times but his hopes were quickly dashed. Instead, Daro simply laughed at Desmond, claiming Desmond would never be capable of such powerful abilities. Desmond simply looked Daro in the eyes and shook his head, returning to his book. Desmond wasn't going to waste his time reacting to Daro's chirping. That is until he brought up their history, claiming Desmond's betrayal would always keep him from ever building a real friendship with anyone, including his "dirty" Umbreon. At that, Desmond jumped to his feet and got up in Daro's face, Hecate crouched in battle position. Daro and Rhyhorn returned the stance, happy to get under Desmond's skin. Desmond didn't care if he'd get in trouble, he'd pound his best friend into the ground if it meant defending Hecate. It seemed he wasn't alone in that thought though as just as quickly as Desmond, Ares popped out of his Pokeball ready to assist in any way he could. Before anything could happen though one of the library assistants, a surprisingly burly man with a Manectric by his side stomped toward them, pushing the two apart. Since nothing ended up happening, the assistant let the pair of them off with a warning and escorted Daro away from Desmond's area, who gave one last smirk towards his former best friend. Once they were out of sight, Desmond turned towards his Scyther and looked into his eyes, an unmistakable look of determination and understanding. Desmond nodded in thanks towards Ares before returning him to his ball and returned to his reading.
That was two days ago and finally Desmond was getting the opportunity to take the Bug Type Specialist class. He wanted to learn as much as he could about his most recent partner as he could. There was something in Ares' eyes that Desmond couldn't quite place but knew he needed to explore. With his shoes laced up, he slung his backpack over his usual flowing, leather jacket, pulled on his fingerless leather gloves and headed out the door to his class, Hecate right in stride with him.

Day 3 (Cold > Heat. Most of the time.) It was morning. The sun had began to squeeze through the blinds. Cyan was awake, just messing around with his Computer. He would try to contact his few friends back in Hoenn every once in a while, just to no one respond. At this time, his problems with making friends began to be more obvious. Sure, he talked with some people, but not a lot. He just responded most questions with "yes", "no", "not sure", "maybe", and sometimes the good old awkward silence. He spent a good portion of his time studying, mostly about the subjects he liked and his Pokemon. He learnt about the mysterious ruin in Alola, that apparently were home to the Island guardians. He lived in Koni-Koni city before, and it wasn't far from one of the ruins, the Ruins of Life. He never got to go there though. Cyan looked at his clock. Well, he wasn't late for class, but it was a good time to get up and get something to eat. Lara and Max were already trying to eat the power cords, since Tesla spends so much time stuck to them feeding on electricity. Hopefully the school doesn't decide to send a bill. As soon as he got up, he was hit by the cold of the morning. He looked over to the window and saw that it was slightly open. Cyan immediately closed it, "Lara, can you use a really weak Heat wave, just enough to warm the room?" he said. Lara quickly obeyed, she made her horns glow red and so did the air around her, and the room began to become warmer. "Phew, thanks!" Cyan said, and Lara simply gave him a small smile. Cyan changed into his clothes, and put a slightly thicker jacket on than the usual one. "Alright, Tesla, get out of the plug, you had to much for the day. Max, you have to go on your pokeball for now, since you are to big to fit on the cafeteria. Don't worry though, I will get something for you to eat later. And Lara, follow me. We are getting something to eat!" Tesla detached from the plug, just to to stick to Cyan's jacket. Though Max wasn't the biggest fan of staying in the pokeball every morning, she got used to it and simply did it. Cyan thought that soon he should have a battle with someone to give her some exercise. Lara just quickly followed Cyan as he walked to the Cafeteria. Party

Ivrant, Rylie and Sydney Drama Time - Part 2
Rylie could be seen at a table in the corner of the cafeteria, messing with the stone as she pushed and prodded at it, below it sand seemed to be falling out into a small bowl she placed below it. Beside her laid a large plate of food that remained rather untouched, the food on there was clearly thrown on with little thought or reasoning.
Ivrant walked on over to where Rylie was sitting at, already starting to chomp down a bit of his food. "Alright... should settle my stomach a bit! So where were we? Looks like we got a development on that stone finally huh?"
Sydney had already been in the cafeteria when she saw Ivrant and Rylie arrive, a frown crossing her face. She'd deliberately made sure to get up early and leave the dorms so she wouldn't have to run into their... whatever it was. She thought about leaving well enough alone but, really, it was her responsibility as one of the top members of the top dorm to nip these little problems in the bud for the sake of... well, everyone! She excused herself from the group of girls she was sitting with, picking up her tray and weaving her way through the crowd. She was wearing a pair of calf high brown leather boots, skinny jeans, her blue Suicune dorm jacket and a charcoal grey dress shirt tucked into the jeans. She'd spent a good twenty minutes in front of the mirror trying to decide how many buttons to have done up and had eventually settled on what she considered to be a 'modestly attractive' amount. She wanted to look good but she didn't need boys like Ivrant leering at her all day! Her black and blue hair was worn loose, falling around her shoulders and she was wearing only light make up. All in all she looked pretty good, but looks can be deceiving...
She sat down unceremoniously at Ivrant and Rylie's table, picking her knife and fork back up to begin cutting into her egg whites. "You know," she said pointedly, "This might not be any of my business. But I guess that's sort of the point, isn't it?" She shot a glance up at the pair of them. "I really don't care what you two get up to but, Ivrant, I keep seeing you sneak into the Suicune dorms at night and then, wouldn't you know it, there the two of you are together in the common room nearly every morning like it's no big deal... I mean, some people have even said you're barely wearing any clothes half the time!" She lowered her voice to a conspiratorial stage whisper at the scandal of it all. "All I'm saying is, well, the Suicune dorm has a reputation to maintain, so some discretion wouldn't go amiss when the two of you are..." She waved her fork, vaguely emphasising the point she was trying not to make, "...doing whatever. But, you know, just some friendly advice. Don't say I didn't try to warn you - if a teacher catches you it's nothing to do with me."
“Oh excuse me princess, I’m sorry to have desecrated your castle with my filthy presence. I’ll be sure to hide myself even further into the corner than I already am in hopes to please you. Oh, and thank you so much for gracing us with your presence, I’ll be sure to heed your warning and continue not caring in the future.” She said in just loud enough for the nearby tables to hear, layering on a thick heavily sarcastic tone.
“Seriously, do you have a problem with us or something?” She asked in a more normal, yet rather annoyed tone. “I’m not looking to pick a fight but I’m also not gonna let someone spread rumors about me, especially if it’s with this guy.” She said rather pointedly in return, giving a bitt of a nod to Ivrant.
Ivrant felt many different emotions at the moment. Annoyed, embarrassed, awkward, and he could already see some flames sparking. Rylie basicly said everything Ivrant would have wanted to say if he had enough of a spine to go off and say it. He's seen Sydney around the dorms every so often but she never really went over to talk to him. Was that seriously what she thought of him? That he was sneaking in the Suicue dorm? was the jacket not proof enough? On top of the things she was implying... well Ivrant just looked left and right after Rylie's statement.
"Uh...Sydney you do know I'm from this dorm right? I kinda have my own room and everything- wait, sneaking? Have you been watching me or something?" Ivrant asked, now a little more uncomfortable with the situation.
Sydney turned bright red at Rylie's onslaught, her eyes darting around to see if anyone was watching the outburst. "I was trying to help!" She hissed. "I don't care if you do, you know, whatever but it's just been so obvious I thought you'd want to know that people might be noticing! I wish I hadn't said anything now, I didn't know you'd get so defensive about it!" She turned her attention to Ivrant, some force coming back into her voice. "And if you want to orchestrate some sort of ruse to visit this girl that's fine but please don't try and pretend you're in Suicune dorm. I think you have potential Ivrant but come on, we both know you're not at that level - not yet anyway. I just - I don't know - I wasn't going to say anything about it and then I saw you both sitting here and I thought, oh, you know what, I'll let them know that I think people might be noticing and now it's blown up in my face - I only wanted to look out for a fellow Suicune girl. And Ivrant, I guess." She slumped in her seat, clearly not pleased with how her charitable work was panning out.
“Wait, hold up… You said something there.” Rylie interrupted, shooting Ivrant a dark look before continuing. “Is he really not in Suicune? What the heck!?” She said, barely managing to stifle a shout across the table. Biting her tongue, she continued “Were you just lost or something on the first day or were you following me the whole time!? What that what that text was about!? Maybe I should have hit you harder!” She managed to say through her teeth, Hiding a fist under the table.
"WHAT?! You BELIEVE her?! I'm practically down the hall! You know I have a room here at the dorm! Geez do I gotta show you two or something?! I got the jacket and everything!" Ivrant shouted out rather loudly and uncharacteristically. Dynamo seemed to be even more expressively annoyed with all of the accusations being tossed around but he could do a thing about it. It would just make Ivrant look worse. "She just thinks I'm not in this dorm because our first battle ended up being completely one sided!" He said, slamming his hand on the table at the mention of that battle.
Sydney watched the exchange between the two of them, her eyes getting wider as she started to understand what was really going on here. "Wait... wait, you mean you two really aren't... together?" She looked to Ivrant, shoc clear on her face. "Ivrant, have you been stalking this girl or something!? It'd be one thing to act like you were in our dorm to hide a relationship but if you're doing it just to follow her around and be a creep that is NOT okay!" She looked back to Rylie. "Listen, I'm so sorry about all this,I never thought, I mean, who would imagine that he'd... ugh! If he keeps trying this sort of thing I'm totally here for you, you don't have to put up with this kind of thing."
“Why would she lie about something like that?” Rylie said in a rather direct tone. “Heck, It would explain why you’re never fully dressed for breakfast…” Rylie turned to Sydney and gave her a rather apologetic look. “Thank you so much, and I’m really sorry for what I said. It’s only natural to get a bit defensive when you don’t know right?” she said with a bit of a sheepish look.
"Hrmph your one to talk..." Ivrant muttered to himself regarding the dressed comment. Ivrant couldn't tell if Rylie was screwing with him or not... she did like to take cracks at him here and there for fun but with Sydney here Ivrant wasn't exactly in a very good mood. He could tell that Sydney was absolutely serious. While he was a very comptative guy, in these kind of situations his self confidence could get pretty fragile. This was a mix of the two. "You really just pulled out stalker of all things? What the hell's your problem?" He said to Sydney. That was it. He wasn't going to be happy until he beat her down in a battle. No, absolutely annihilated her in a battle. He was going to make this cocky girl eat her words.
"It's fine, I completely understand. My names Sydney by the way, sorry I didn't introduce myself properly. I've already trashed this guy in a battle before so if he gives you anymore trouble I have NO problem kicking his butt again." She looked at Ivrant, eyes blazing. "Don't take an aggressive tone creep, you're lucky we don't report you as it is. If you have any sense you'll cut your losses and get out of here and if I see you skulking around our dorm again you're going to need a lot more than some Destiny Bond ploy. By the time I'm done with you even the words Pokemon Battle are going to leave you crying, is that clear? You absolutely cannot treat women this way," she tossed her hair imperiously, turning her attention back to Rylie as though Ivrant had ceased to exist, taking a napkin from the table and a pen from her bag, scribbling something down and sliding it across the table, "That's my number, call me anytime okay?"
“Don’t you get sassy with me, if you’re so adamant on proving her wrong then do it.” Rylie said rather frankly, a long finger pointed towards Ivrant’s chest. “Surely you have something that proves you’re in this dorm, your original placement letter should do. Be sure to hurry up too, we’ve all got class soon.” Rylie slouched back in her seat shortly afterward giving a rather long sigh, she honestly didn’t know who to believe at this point, why would Sydney lie like that and risk embarrassing herself? Either way finding proof should be an easy task… right? “Names Rylie here, and I’ll be sure to!” she said with a nod, tucking the napkin inside of her jacket pocket.
And with that, Ivrats competive flames had sparked. Time to prove these girls wrong right here and now. Luckily he carried around at last some forms of ID on hand. After the rocket incident of couse students were going to carry this sort of thing. He never realy took his placement letter out of his bag since he got it so this would be a good time to flash it out. Ivrant quickly pulled both his official trainer academy ID as well as the proper acceptance letter to the Suicune dorm. "Proof enough for you?"
Sydney glanced at Ivrant and his supposed proof without really looking very closely. "You just so happen to have exactly the evidence Rylie asked for? Ivrant, that's even more suspicious, who just carries around their documents like that? Anyone could steal them and do, like, identity theft or something! For all we know that's exactly what you've done! I think you should cut your losses, apologise, and have a serious think about the way you try to approach women." Sydney didn't know why Ivrant was going to such elaborate lengths to support his ruse. Sure, Rylie was kind of cute in that boyish way some people were into but she wasn't exactly a knockout. Maybe he had something even more nefarious in mind, like gaining her trust before he tried to steal her Pokemon or something? Well, that was certainly a possibility but she'd keep that thought to herself for now - she certainly wasn't about to make an accusation without any proof!
"You seriously think I'm capable of that? You're impossible. Every trainer is supposed to have their ID to keep Pokemon theft from happening. Its how missing Pokeballs are tracked down. Go on, what other accusations are you gonna pull out? I'll humor you." Ivrant sneered. It didn't look like Rylie was going to support him at this point. He felt absolutely betrayed. Dynamo wanted back at this girl so badly but had to hold back for the sake of his trainer.
Rylie let out a long sigh as the two of them continued to bicker “No, the ID is enough, at least for me…” she said with an exhausted tone. “Seriously though, you could have pulled that out much sooner and saved us all a lot of trouble you know! Geez, did you just forget about it or something?” She chastised, her tone quickly shifting from exhausted to annoyed. “You almost got both of us in trouble you know!”
Now she was back on his side? Ivrant wasn't sure what to think anymore. "What?! This is my fault now?!"
"I wasn't talking about your ID, I was talking about your placement letter," Sydney snapped back, getting sick of the way Ivrant was speaking to her. "Since Rylie here is the one you've been creeping on it's her call if she wants to believe you or not, but I still don't want to hear about you bothering anyone else in our dorm. I have no problem beating you again if I find out you're creeping around." She set her cutlery down, having had enough breakfast. "I'm sorry you've had to deal with him Rylie, and sorry if me coming over spoiled your breakfast. I guess I should have made sure I had the facts straight before jumping in, but it would have been a lot easier if someone had been honest from the beginning..." She very deliberately didn't look at Ivrant. The longer this breakfast debacle went on for the more suspicious she found him but if Rylie was happy to let it go then so was she. At least for now.
“You bet it is! This would have been over a long time ago if you showed your Id when you were questioned! Or heck, just dressed properly for breakfast to begin with! I got on to you the first day about that!” Rylie said, ending in a frustrated groan. “Don’t worry about it Sydney, you didn’t spoil anything. I wasn’t too much in the mood to eat either way.” She turned to Sydney, her voice shifting to a softer tone. Overall, she was just happy this whole debacle seemed to be settled.
Ivrant pinched in between his eyes and gave off a frustrated groan. "Fine fine believe what you want. I'm done eating anyways." Ivrant said as he didn't waste any time getting up from his seat, tossing aside whatever was leftover and getting ready to make his way out of the Cafeteria. "I gotta grab some stuff from my room. I'll see you in class I guess Rylie." He said, picking up his back and wasting no time to get out of there.
Sydney rolled her eyes as Ivrant decided to have one last petulant outburst before he left, glad that he was leaving. She'd tried so hard to be nice to him when they first met even though she thought he needed to put a lot more work into training his Pokemon but now she almost wished she hadn't bothered. He was so rude! "I appreciate you saying that Rylie, really, but I still feel bad. You have my number so let me know if you need help with anything so I can make it up to you, okay?" She flashed a sunny smile. "Battling strategy, schoolwork, an expedition, you name it. Oh, what class have you got today? I'm down for the Bug Type one," she said as she fed the strap of her bag over her head and settled it on her shoulder, getting ready to head off.
“Whatever, see you there…” Rylie replied with a sigh, too annoyed to give a proper send off today. “I’ll be sure to keep that in mind.” She said with a much more chipper tone turning back to Sydney. “You might be able to help me test something in fact. Not now, but later of course. I figure since you wiped the floor with Ivrant I’d like to see how good you are myself. But anyway, enough of that, I got stuck in the fairy one myself. I figure my little attention hog Kit got me stuck in that class.” She said, rolling her eyes. Standing up from her seat she made sure to grab the bowl with her rock in it, figuring nobody would miss one dish.
"Oh sure! Ha, uh, yeah, Ivrant wasn't really much of a challenge. He only took down one of my Pokemon because he used Destiny Bond - well, his Pokemon did, he didn't even know about the move - and against the other one his Roselia didn't manage to perform even one move. So I wouldn't take that battle as a measure of how good I am, y'know? I think you only really find out where you stand when you battle a real challenge. But yeah, hit me up after class! See you later Rylie!" Sydney called out, springing up from the table and setting cheerily off for class.
“Heh, I’ll be sure to!” Rylie called out in return, a competitive smile crawling across her face. The stakes are set now, she has to be sure her new plan works out after class today at risk of looking just as bad as Ivrant. Quickly shoveling in some food, she collects her own things and darts off to class herself.

Ivrant- Plan of the day
"Damnit... damnit!" Ivrant grunted to himself as he paced around with his room. "Losing like that was one thing... but now she has to make a spectacle out of it huh? Dosn't even think I'm worth of the Suicune Dorm... Dynamo seemed irritated as well but also a bit concerned for Ivrant. "Maybe we should pass on class to train? No no no... that would be stupid... especially since this is a perfect chance to learn more about Buster and hopefully control the little guy. I need our team to be in absolute control if we're ever going to take the school by storm. Starting with Sydney." Ivrant said, plopping onto his bed and closing his eyes. "We need a way to counter that lockdown she pulled off... As it is now with our team Knox needs more of an offensive push... I put him out to get some experience in battle and I'm happy for that. But everything else... well I dunno. I'm sure she's got more tricks to look out for as well. That definitely wasn't her whole team. All the more reason we need to return the favor next time we battle." Ivrant smirked.
"We need a way to lock her down ourselves, and then sweep the opposition with Buster's power! But right now I don't think we have any Pokemon on hand that has that kind of utility... ah... well we'll look into it later Dynamo. We got classes to get to you know? As soon as we're done we need to train more. Learn new moves, battle more trainers to get some experience in the academy, the works you know? And I know how much you love your training sessions Dynamo." Ivrant patted the rose Pokemon on the head as he simply responded with a firm nod.
"Alright that's that! Our day is planned out! We might be starting off low but we're now going to let that keep us down!"

Tobias and Ivrant: Fun on the beach Tobias sat near the window, reading the book that he picked up from a nearby shelf. He wasn't particularly interested in the topic, but he thought it would be a handy skill to know. The book talked about how to correctly approach a scared pokemon. "First thing you need to analyze the situation. Is there something endangering that scared pokemon? If there is, you got to eliminate it. Then afterwards, you have to gently, and carefully approach the pokemon, try to make it trust you, show it that you won't harm it.." Toby started to doze off while he was reading, and when he realized he wasn't really reading anymore, he closed the book, and returned it to the shelf. Hm I think i did just enough reading for today He thought to himself, as he walked out of the library. He stopped for a bit, took off his backbag, and asked Ruby, who was curled up in the backbag. "Hey Ruby, its still early for classes, so how about we have a walk and go to the beach? the weather seems hot, and it would be nice to see some Wingull, and other water type pokemon. Ruby nodded as if to show her agreement. Toby then went up to his room, put on his swim shorts, and wore his black tanktop. He headed straight to the main hall, after closing the door behind him.
Ivrant made a rather large detour since it was still a little early for classes. All of his Pokemon were out and about now that Ivrant was getting a little more serious about training ever since that embarrassing scuffle in his dorm earlier. He had his focus primarily on Buster who seemed to be speeding around in a circle in his usual frantic self while Knox was way to freightened to even get near him after they way they first met. She was far more comfortable around Dynamo. "The little guy has completely endless energy huh..." Ivrant commented to himself before looking down at Knox. "I wonder if we can teach you any new tricks i battle. You did well holding your own before so I figure your more the kinda Pokemon to hold your ground. Maybe we should try to get a battle plan around that huh?" Ivrant told Knox. The little sand castle Pokemon looked up at ivrant a bit plainly.
"You can control sand right? Maybe there's a way we can use that to slow down the opponent... and since Buster over there can't seem to stop moving I think he'd be a good way to practice something like that don'tcha think?" Ivrant grinned. "Hey Buster!" He called out. The Mariil took a huggggeee U-turn and left a huge skid of sand in its wake before running on over to Ivrant and tackling him to the ground once more. "Omph! Buster! What'd I tell ya about restraint? Anyways... we're gonna play a little game alright? Knox here is going to try and catch you while your running around. Keep doing your thing and try to avoid any kind of attacks that she throws at you. Sound good?" The Marill seemed to immediately go back to rushing around the Beach with Aqua Jet so he either agreed with Ivrant or was just going through the motions. Worked out either way in the end. Knox slid up forward and got herself ready to throw out her various attacks to slow down Buster. "Alright lets see what we can do here."
Tobias headed toward the beach. It didn't take much time for him to get there, after all the beach was conveniently near the Academy. He walked for a bit and saw a trainer, that looked like they were training their pokemon and trying to teach them new tricks. This might be an apportunity for the gang to pratice battling He thought, as he approached the guy and said with a smile " Good morning! wow your pokémon are cool," Its the first time he meets this guy so he was a bit nervous. "So uhm i was wondering if you'd like to battle, Ike, Amy didn't really have much training since we got to the Academy, and Ruby here is new to the team, i met her yesterday." Then he awaited for the guy to reply.
Ivrant turned to the boy that had approached him while Knox was already tossing out attacks in an attempt to catch the quick Marill speeding around the sand. He was especially surprised when offered a battle! He was never the kind of guy to just turn down an offer especially when he could get something out of it as far as practice... he wondered if he really would improve out of this though? He didn't get the impression that this guy would be too much stronger then him let alone at his leve- no! Ivrant was starting to think like Sydney... he assumed anyways. There was always something to learn out of a battle surely. "Uh.. thanks! I was training my Pokemon anyways. A proper battle would do alot better then just my team practicing off eachother. Been trying to help Knox here learn some better offense and just uh, helping Buster over there not get so reckless." Ivrant pointed to the Marill speeding along the sand. Dynamo just seemed to be observing the them silently to make sure Ivrant's team was in check. He was usually the main face of Ivrants team but even Dynamo knew that he was hogging the battle spotlight a little too much as of late. It wouldn't do well if Dynamo was the only fighter in Ivrant's entire team.
"Well if your looking to get started off with some training I can definitely see what I can do. Been in a bit of a slump myself lately with where to push my team so lets see what we get out of this!" Ivrant grinned, looking at both Knox and Buster.
Tobias was kind of surprised that the guy accepted his offer, but he wasn't one to back down from a battle. Even though he doesn't really have much experience, he was willing to give it his all, and so were his pokemon, well at least Ike and Amy. He did not know how well would Ruby take a loss. Its probably better not to think about that and for now we'll just do our best He thought, as he took Ruby out of his backbag, and put Amy, that was in his arms as usual, on the sandy ground. "Alright guys, get ready, we're going to have our first trainer battle in the Academy," "Ike, would you like to go first?" The Honedge unsheathed itself from his trainer'sbelt, and floated around in agreement. Then Toby stood there waiting for the other trainer to get ready.
Dynamo's eyes seemed to shine when it saw the Pokemon come out. Was that a sword?! His fighting style usually mimiced that of a fencer from all of the films it watched with Ivrant but this was a straight up sword! He was suddenly really excited to see how it fought. Dynamo was about to hop right up and get a closer look but quickly backed up so he didn't look completely silly in front of it.
"Alright... well if we're gonna start off like this then lets see if we can get something working with Knox here! You confident you can take it on?" Ivrant asked. Knox moved up forward a little nervous to get into another battle but was ready to at least prove herself in front of Ivrant! At least she didn't need to try fighting Buster... this was way better by comparison. "Alright then Knox, we're going to do the same training as before. Let's see what we can do to restrict Ike here in battle! Let's start of simple. Sand Attack!" Ivrant called out. The Sand Castle pokemon moved up forward and released a small wave of sand to disorient the opponent a it to start off!
"Alright, i think i've heard of this pokemon before, but i'm not sure of its type, lets try this. Ike use Shadow Sneak, and try to get through the sand wave" As soon as it heard Tobias's command, Ike shone in a dark purpli-ish glow, and extended its shadow, as it reached out throught the sand wave, trying to attack the Sand Castle pokemon.
The attack hit the Sandgast far before it could even use Sand Attack properly, and it was a pretty heavy hit on top of that. Ivrant should have figured this thing would have a couple of ghost moves on it. As far as Ivrant know, Knox didn't really know any reliable ghost type attacks yet. Maybe the TM shop would be a good place to stop after class... still that was for later! Ivrant has to figure out a way around this. "Alright Knox, don't get too phased by that hit. "Use Astonish!" Ivrant called out. The little castle Pokemon quickly melded into the sand and reappeared right in front of the honedge to try and give it a good spook and flinch it! He wasn't about to go into the logic of how this kind of attack did damage but an attack was an attack!
Ike flinched at the sight of Knox appearing in front of it, out of nowhere. The Sand Castle pokemon melded into the sand soon after Ike's attack, so it wasn't possible to determine its location. "That move might not be powerful, but from what i know about it, is it still does damage, and hold on, i'm sure the Pokédex can be of help" Said Tobias, as he took out his pokedex from the pocket of his backbag, and clicked on the button to start it. " Sandygast, the Sand Heap pokémon. It takes control of anyone who puts a hand in its mouth. And so it adds to the accumulation of its sand-mound body. So a Ghost and Ground type, huh..That description sounds as creepy as Honedge's pokedex description, but still it seems to be a defensive kind of pokemon, especially since we're fighting in a sandy area. He thought for a bit, and saw that he might need to be careful, as Ike had a weakness to ground type moves. "Alright Ike! use Protect, lets try and get some more time to think of a plan." He said, feeling a mix of exitement, and nerbousness rush through him, it was his first trainer battle here, and he did not know what this guy might have up his sleeve.
"Knox! Absorb!" Ivrant called out. Not at all going to be an effected attack on a steel type Pokemon but at this rate may as well try all of the options. Naturally, the attack was completely negated. Ironicly enough, Knox didn't really know any proper ground type moves yet... but it seemed to be trying to pull something off with the sand around it as the battle went on. "We're not going to get too far if we keep playing defensive like this.. we gotta try something different. Knox if you got any creative ideas to get through this then feel free to try it out!" Ivrant called out to his Pokemon. The Sandcastle turned back to the honedge and quickly backed away, sinking a little deeper in the sand.
"W-where did it go now? Ike be alert" Said Tobias, as he watched the Sandygast sink deep in the sand. "We can't use protect again for now, so try and use SwordsDance!" Ike glowed, and some tiny swords appeared for a second, and disappeared when Ike stopped glowing. He never really used this move before, but apparently it raises the uder's attack stat. "Alright Ike, we do no't know where could Knox attack from, so do your best and hold your ground." Said Toby, as Ike prepared for the Sandygast's attack.
Once the Sandygast emerged, a huge burst of sand would errupt around the Honedge! On top of doing proper damage, it would also surround him in a powerful surge of sand trapping it in place. This must have been the new move that Knox was trying to work on. From the look of the move it had to be Sand Tomb! This would have been extremely handy in his last battle but at least Knox has something to work with now! On top of the initial damage, it would slowly continue to do damage to him over time. Ivrant could make this kind of attack work out but he still needed to do more from there somehow.
This attack probably did a lot of damage to Ike, seeing as its gets the same type attack boost, and its super effective on a steel type like Honedge Tobias thought, as he almost started to panick but he tried not to let it show. He tried to remain calm, and think, "Alright, Ike, lets try and get you out of this, use Shadow Sneak, put all of your power in this" He said, hoping that Honedge can at least attack one more time, Sand Tomb came out as a surprise, and its going to be trouble if Ike cant move, so he had to gamble on this, and see if Ike can attack.
The attack would definately come out and end up landing a proper hit on the Sandygast. The move didn't seem to restrict his movement but the cage of sand would continue to surround the sword and continue to do small amounts of damage over time.
"Hang in there Knox... once more! Sand Tomb! Keep your distance!" Ivrant shouted out as she quickly created another strong burst of sand from underneath of the Honedge. to continue doing damage to it.
Another attack and Ike is done, its true that it can take on some super effective moves, but it was already attacked twice. Tobias was not about to loose hope, but even if he lost, at least he did his best,a dn he got some battle experience out of it, but for now, one last move, the outcome of this battle depended on it, Ike wouldn't be able to handle even an Astonish attack at this point, The Sand Tomb was still doing damage, and while Ike can still move, its slowed down by the Sand Tomb. "Alright Ike, once more, it all depends on this move. Use Shadow Sneak!" Said Tobias, as he excitedly, but still feeling a bit nervous, awaited the outcome of this battle"
Knox wasn't doing too hot herself either. While she was indeed pretty bulky, this honedge could take physical hits as well! Ivrant has one way to get out of this mess though. "Alright Knox! U-" Though Ivrant suddenly seemed to hesitate before calling out his move. All he could do is remember what he heard earlier at the dorms.
"Oh sure! Ha, uh, yeah, Ivrant wasn't really much of a challenge. He only took down one of my Pokemon because he used Destiny Bond"
"..."
With Ivrant's hesitation, even Knox seemed to hesitate to do anything about the incoming attack Before Knox could even consider Destiny Bond as an option, The Shadow Sneak landed a proper solid hit on the small sand castle Pokemon and quickly knocked it out into a puddle of sand. The Sand Tomb would quickly disperse showing that Knox had no power over it now. "Knox!" Ivrant quickly ran over to the knocked out Sandygast and returned her to her ball. "Good work out there..." He said aloud to her. "...why the hell did I hesitate?! I could have at least took it down with me... damnit... is that really a way to win though? Ivrant thought to himself. Well the battle wasn't quite over yet at least.
"Ike, you can rest now. You did really well," Said Tobias, as Ike returned back to its sheathe. "Hey Ruby, would you like to have a shot at this? this is your first time, but no matter the outcome, you'll still be a good partner, and even if we lost this one, there will be more we can win." He watched as Ruby took a few steps, and took an offensive position, as if to show that she was ready to at least give this a shot.
Dynamo seemed a little dissapointed it couldn't watch that honedge fight some more... he'd have to talk to it one of these days and see if it could do some kind of sword play! For now though, it was Buster's turn to shine! "Comere Buster! Time for you to uh..." He was about to make a pun relating to "busting" something but he held himself back. "Well get out here!" He quickly said after as the Marill rushed in front of Ivrant and just gave off a goofy smile toward Ruby. Target Acquired.
"Alright Ruby, Marill is a fairy type so we're at a bit of a disadvantage here, but lets give it oour best shot!" Said Tobias, trying to encourage Ruby. "Alright, use Shadow Ball" The small fox started to form a shadowy blob, then she hurled it at Buster, trying to at least use something that would do better than Dark Pulse. Amy did not pay any attention to the ongoing battles, she instead chose to play in the sand, often approaching the sea's water, as if trying to swim. Tobias didnt want to interrupt her, for now, so he thought that she can have her fun, and maybe she can battle later on.
Dynamo seemed to be keeping a close eye on the Piplup in the meantime. Ocean water could be dangerous after all... he did always feel a need to watch over anyone who could be in potential danger... just as a heroic mon should at least. She seemed okay for now but the Roselia decided to walk over and join the Piplip by the water just incase.
"Shadow Ball? Yikes thats a powerful move... that kind of hard hit was going to tempt Buster to go wild for sure. The attack hit the goofy grinning Marill hard and pushed him back near Ivrant. If something was going to hit him hard then he was just going to have to stike back with twice the force! "Buster! Aqua Jet!" Ivrant called out. Buster's favorite words! The little Marill quickly rushed ahead into full speed and charged on a full on impact with Ruby!
Ruby was knocked back so hard, that it pushed Tobias a few steps back. "Ruby, are you alright? can you continue? its alright if you want to take a rest." Said Tobias in a worried tone. Ruby shook her head, as if to say that she can still hang in there for a bit. "Then.. lets try a Dark Pulse, aim it at the sand near Buster!" He said, as Ruby quickly summoned her strength and launched a stream of dark energy.
The bulky Marill continued to rush around, letting that snady dark pulse hit it head on but the marill didn't seem to slow down! There was no sense in using Belly Drum this late in the game now... he wanted to give uster more practice not entirely sweep the competition with a powerful attack boost. This was training after all. "Keep rushing in Buster!" Ivrant called out as the Marill seemed to come to a complete halt. It seemed like it took Ivrants command a bit... wrong as it was suddenly pounding on its stomach with several powerful blows. The Marill was getting confident as it used Belly Drum to increase its attack to maximum levels yet cut its vitality in half. The boost in power could be felt eminating from the maril. "Ohhhhh boy..."
"Ah, its seems this guy had something up his sleeve. Well i have no regrets. Ruby, use Shadow Ba-" Toby was about to say, when he noticed Ruby started to cry, he couldn't tell if it was the move known as Fake Tears, or if the small fox is afraid, after Buster maximized his attack."I trust you Ruby, do it!" He said, deciding to trust his pokemon's intuition. Well, we did what we can. Next time will bedifferent though He thought, as he awaited for the Marill to finish the battle with one attack.
Buster hesitated a little bit from the tears flowing out of Ruby's eyes... but he still seemed to be charging right on through with enough force to shake the ground around him! Yikes! The Pokemon quickly rammed right into Ruby with his now half powered up Aqua Jet.
Ruby's trick seemed to work, but it wasn't enough. Buster was already charging right on towards her. The impact of the Marill's Aqua Jet pushed Ruby near Toby. She tried to stand up and continue fighting, but her trainer could see that by that she'll just hurt herself. "Its alright, Ruby! you can rest now. you did what you can," Said Tobias with a smile "Alright, Amy its your turn now. Come here and get ready. We'll show them what we can do" Then once Amy was in position to battle, he said " Amy do you remember what we practiced back in the pokemon contest in Kalos? lets try that! Spin and use Scald!" He was sure that this move would surprise his oponent, but you never know what could happen. He awaited for his oponent to make a move.
Belly Drum on its own was a powerful buff but it was always at a cost. While Buster didn't at all look very worn out, the cut to his health was obvious enough. The Marill attempted to rush toward its new opponent once more and was caught by the scalding hot water! Once his was hit by the powerful move Buster seemed to rather... comedicly tumble onto his side and roll right past her and onto his back completely knocked out. He really needed to use Belly Drum early and find a way to recover health to make this work out in long term. Even a fully powered Aqua Jet wouldn't likely crush an opposing water type unless it had more moves under its belt. "Alright Buster time to relax a bit." Ivrant laughed as he returned the hyperactive mon back into its ball. "Alright Dynamo its your turn to shine!" Ivrant called out. Immediately the Roselia lept right over Ivrant and landed gracefullyonto the ground. After giving off a small bow toward Amy, it flung out a vine from its flower like arms and kept a firm stance similar to that of a fencer.
"Alright Dynamo, like we practiced. Let's start it off with Stun Spore!" Ivrant called out. Dynamo swiped its vine forward and spread out several spores to attempt paralyzing the Amy.
Amy dodge that Stun Spore!" Said Tobias, but Amy wasn't the fastest pokemon around, and some of the spores his her. It didn't seem to have much effect on her, but it was obvious that she couldn't move well. Amy can't really spin, but lets try this He thought for a second, then said "Amy, try to use Stealth Rock. Lets try to limit Dynamo's movement " As soon as she heard the command, Amy glowed and floating rocks appeared then were spread on the opposing side of the field.
Dynamo would need to watch his footing now... Ivrant knew this move affected Pokemon that came into battle so using it earlier rather then later was generally a good way to start it off but it could also serve as a minefield in a way. "Setting the stage? Alright two can play at that game. Dynamo! Set up some spikes!" He called out. Dynamo held his ground, and once again flung his arm forward to shoot off several black spikes that would spread along the battlefield and sink right into the ground ready to be triggered. "Lets see whos got the fancier footwork!" Ivrant said confidently.
"Oh I see, they're using the trapping strat againt us.. I got to admit, this guy is talented. But we still have some tricks of our own," Said Tobias, a bit nervously. He wasn't about to give up, but he couldn't really shake off the feeling that there is a chance for him to loose. "Okay, Amy! Do a spinning jump and use Icy Wind!" He was hoping that this would at least slow down the opposing Roselia. Amy opened her beak and a gust of chilling air blasted out.
Dynamo held out its arm in front of it once that cold wind began to blow toward it. On top of that it wasn't exactly making it easy for Dynamo to watch its step as he ended up triggering one of the Stealth Rocks sets up just around him, causing them to shoot out from the ground and explode around him. "Take her out of the air! Power Whip!" Ivrant shouted out. With a confident grin, the Roselia flung out a vine which would start to glow purple, taking a small leap into the air, it would use the powerful whip to spike her right to the ground.
"Amy, are you okay?" Said Toby with a worried look. Amy jumped back to her feet, the attack hit her hard but she still had enough stamina and will to fight. She nodded to her trainer, as if to show him that she wasn't about to give up, and that he shoudn't give up just yet. "Hm, lets try some of the moves that we don't really use," Try using Mud Slap!" The Penguin pokemon used her flippers and hurled a wave of sand towards Dynamo. Maybe lowering Roselia's accruacy would be a good strategy He thought that he can at least try it.
Once Dynamo landed on the ground it was treated to an eyeful of mud right into its eyes. That wasn't going to do him well considering Power Whip on its own was a fairly inaccurate attack in the first place. "Alright Dynamo, we may not be able to get up close too safely but we can still keep our distance. Lets make things a little more complicated for them! More spikes!" Ivrant called out as Dynamo would continue to cover up the field with even more spikes to traverse around! No need to be accurate with that at least! Dynamo kept a firm defenseive stance, holding out its vine ready to strike back. "Steady Dynamo..."
"Alright, Amy, use Icy wind!" Said Tobias, but little did he know, when Amy tried to walk a few steps and launch her attack, she accidentally stepped on a spike which exploded, knocking her back near him. "Amy.. can you get up?" Thee penguin, slowly, stood up again. She was obiously tired but she still wanted to go on, she seemed confident that she can go on. "..Alright, try again, use Icy Wind and put your all in this attack. Amy opened her beak once more, summoned her strength, and shot a gust of cold chilly wind towars the opposing Roselia. She was not able to move well because of the Stun Spore, and the Spikes made it more difficult to move. He had to rely on this last move, he didn't really have a lot of options. Its a win or loose situation, but he wouldn't be relaly upset even if he ended up on the loosing side. He awaited Dynamo's next move.
The wind indeed did a good job to slow Dynamo down properly... Ice attacks weren't exactly pleasent of Dynamo to deal with the Roselia seemed to take the attack and keep his footing properly. "Alright Dynamo, finish with style!" Ivrant called out. Dynamo gave off a wide grin and started to make his move. Working around the sand was already fairly difficult on its own but he could improvise to minimize movement as to not trigger a stealth rock on accident. Dynamo once more brought out one of its vines and it to shoot straight toward Amy. Rather then use Power whip immediately however, he used to wrap around her and keep her in place before unleashing his attack. At least to take advantage of both the paralysis and the spike trap layed out. Dynamo seemed to speak out to her.
"You fight well miss Amy! Let's do this again!" The roselia said confidently, as it began to wind up and finish the job with another Power Whip!
"Ha! i knew it. quick Amy, use Icy Wind, one more time. Aim at the vine" Said Tobias, as Amy whipped up a gust of chilly wind that made its way to Dynamo's vine. Did we do it.. only Dynamo's next move would decide the outcome of this battle.
The Piplup had Dynamo played once that icy chill was sent right up the vine that Dynamo had set out! The move quickly sent Dynamo down onto one knee which got Ivrant just a bit concerned. "...Well Dynamo, if Plan A isn't going to work..." The Roselia kept its grip on the Piplup and would hold up its other arm. Suddenly large ball of sludge would fire right out and arc right toward the Piplup to retaliate back!
Amy was struck by what seemed like a Sludge Bomb. Tobias hurried and fetched a potion from his backbag, picked up and healed her. Then he looked at the other trainer and said "Thank you for the battle, it was fun, next time will be different though.. I.. didn't introduce myself ,did I? My name is Tobias" He stood up and held out his arm to the guy.
Ivrant gave off a small sigh of relief and did the same for Dynamo. Wouldn't be wise to have all of his Pokemon out cold on the way to class after all. Once Dynamo was recovered he walked on over to Amy and offered a small vine to her to help the piplup onto her feet.
"Ah... Ivrant. Glad to meet ya. Haven't had a long battle like that here in the academy before! Its pretty nice being able to use my entire team like that for once!" Ivrant smiled.
"Nice to meet you Ivrant! Glad i could be of help. Clearly battling another trainer is different than battling wild pokemon," Said Tobias with a smal laugh. " We should probably go heal our pokemon before classes start." I almost forgot He thought, as he took out his camera from under his shirt and took a picture of Ivrant and his Roselia standing near him. "Now i will never forget this battle" He said with a smile. "Uhm it might be too much to ask but would you like to exchange phone numbers? i dont really have a lot of places to go to so if you want to meet up give me a call, if you want of course" He said waiting for Ivrant to reply.
"Sure why not?" Ivrant smiled, feeling a tiny bit embaressed from the sudden snapshot of both him and Dynamo. His Pokemon seemed to make a proper pose just on time for the camera though! If others were going to see him then he had to make sure to look his best after all! Ivrant kneeled down and pulled out his notepad and quickly wrote his number down onto it before tearing it off and handing it on over to Tobias. "Here ya go Tobias. Just toss me a message and I'll make sure to add you on my contacts... ah! Right classes... we should probly get moving huh? I forgot just how much time had past from all that!"
"Tobias took the note from Ivrant, then fetched out his Xtransceiver to register his number before he forgets. After that he told Ivant about his number, picked up his backbag, Ruby curled inside as usual, and picked up Amy in one of his arms. He was ready to go to the pokmon center to heal his pokemon before the classes started.
"Alright! I uh... well as much as I'd like to talk a little more I really gotta get to class. I'm taking the fairy type course so feel free to toss me a message if you want to train a little more!" Ivrant smiled. "Comon Dynamo! Pokemon Center and then we gotta hit up class!" Dynamo nodded and followed close behind his trainer. Ivrant was satisfied overall with the battle but he overall felt more hesitant then usual... it was a bit bizzare for him... he usually went into these battles with full confidence and never held back but here he was second guessing alot of his choices.
"..."
Maybe it was just a one time thing... he'd feel better after waking up more. Yeah...
Tobias headed back to the Academy, he wanted to heal up his pokemon before the classes start. He has a fun time, even if he ended up on the loosing side. Now he just needed to drink something refreshing and heal his small friends before he could go to classes.

After healing up at the Pokemon Center, Ivrant made a B-line to his assigned classroom. Dynamo seemed to be in his ball for the time being to relax a little so for the time being, he didnt have anybody out by his side. Bringing out Buster would probobly be dangerous in such close quarters but Ivrant would be sure to ask the teach if he could somehow work this out... even if he was an absolute juggernaut, he wouldn't get very far in the long run if Buster was always going to run rampant. For now there wasn't much to do besides wait and brainstorm what else he could do with the new moves he tried out. Spikes was a great way for dynamo to get some control on the field as well as deal a little bit of damage to any Pokemon coming into battle... it just took awhile to properly set up though. Knox was slowly getting there but he had to make a trip to Oak Town and teach the gal some stronger attacks. Sand Tomb was fine but it wasn't really a big hitting move necessarily... surely there was something it could learn later on right?
"Well... one thing at a time. Lets focus on Buster for now..." Ivrant thought to himself.

Classes - Day 3The school bell rang, signalling any students not already at their classrooms to get a move on or risk being late - the consequences of which could vary depending on who your teacher was. It was already a well established fact amongst the students that being late to Lt. Surge's class resulted in instant death. The last student who had been late to Sabrina's Psychic class had spent the entire lesson sitting on the ceiling while Blaine only let tardy students into the classroom if they could answer a riddle first - and those were only the Kanto teachers...
*** Diantha was dressed in an ivory coloured pant suit with a pastel pink dress shirt, standing by the window and looking out across the island as she waited for her students to filter into the classroom. A lot of the students were excited to be taking her class, even more so than when other Champions would teach, because Diantha wasn't just the Kalos Region Champion, oh no! She was also a world famous movie star, known for her skills on the silver screen as well as the battle arena. Some of the less dedicated Trainers seemed more interested in meeting a movie star than learning from one of the best Trainers in the world. There were always those, however, who questioned Diantha's dedication to being a Pokemon Trainer and representative of her region. How could she possibly juggle two such demanding careers at once? There was even talk among the students not from Kalos that it was a weaker region, that was why their best Trainer was someone who didn't even care about Pokemon all that much... Of course no one said this anywhere near Diantha herself and if she did overhear any of the students gossip she seemed to choose to ignore it. *** Jasmine was sitting behind the teachers desk in her classroom, glad that she could half hide behind the authority it granted her. Being a Gym Leader was one thing, but teaching a whole class of kids? She really hoped she was up to the challenge and that they all listened to her. Even though she'd taught this class before she had these same thoughts each time, always nervous about the possibility of things going wrong. She always had to remind herself that she really did know an awful lot about Steel types and had real knowledge to share! The only problem was the actual sharing part... *** In the Bug Type classroom Viola was busy preparing, sticking up photographs of various Bug Type Pokemon and their evolutionary lines onto the walls, all of them presumably taken by the Gym Leader herself. She would spend some time agonising over their placement, moving sets of photos from one wall to another to change the way the light would hit them, or regrouping sets of the photographs together to try and make a stronger theme. Once she was done arranging her displays she picked her camera up from her desk and began to take pictures of the pictures... presumably so she wouldn't forget the arrangement if she wanted to use it in the future, but who knew? She seemed content to finish up this project as students filtered in, waiting until she felt there were enough of them to warrant starting the class.
Sydney was one of the first students to arrive, a big smile on her face as she made sure to sit in the front of class unlike many of the others who naturally tried to find seats as far back as possible. This was so exciting! She'd seen a few of Viola's battles televised on Gym Freaks and she was sure that there would be plenty to learn from her. Miko had agreed to stay in her pokeball for this class so that Titania could be present, so Sydney took out her pokeball and released the Cutiefly.
"Okay Titania," she started to explain, "This is a Bug Type class and, well, that means it's about you! So let's really pay attention, okay?"
Titania closed her eyes and squeaked in happy agreement before buzzing down to settle on her Trainers desk, her practically useless legs splaying around her as she landed. Sydney might be excited about learning for the joy of it and improving herself as a Trainer, but Titania was far more interested in discovering new ways to inflict pain and suffering!

Day 3 (Bug-Type class, yes!)
Cyan had just arrived at the Cafeteria when the bell rang. Well, that sucks. Though he knew he couldn't be late for class, he quickly went inside and grabbed a few cookies for the go. Can't get hungry during class now.
As he approached the buildings, he checks what class he has now. Bug-Type specialist class. Finally, a class that he doesn't suck at and one where he might be able to do well at. Cyan got a bit excited, since he had some history with both bug type teachers. Viola gave him Lara and teached him the "why you don't go on tall grass alone thing". Cyan used to train at Burgh's Gym, challenging trainers that wanted to beat the leader. Yeah, Cyan lost most battles there. Burgh also gave him Tesla, as a small gift to deal with Flying-Types that live in Hoenn.
At this point he was running towards his class, both to not be late and to meet Viola/Burgh again. When he arrived, he noticed that his teacher was Viola! Cyan was really happy to see her again, and so was Lara that was walking next to him. Then he saw that girl that he tried to help when he came to the Island for the first time. Well, that was awkward.
He started to remember what happened, and how he just sorta left her hanging after Max showed up. Maybe she remembered what happened earlier before they met.
One thing links to the other, and now Cyan is thinking if Viola remembers anything about him. He was only 7 when they met, and now he was 15. He changed a lot during that time. He lost his momentary courage of talking to her, and instead just decided to keep quiet...Party

Ivrant was already hanging in the classroom for awhile waiting for things to get started. There she was, Diantha herself. Being an avid movie goer, he had of course seen her play various roles in a few films. Surprisingly she played a big variety of genres in the film industry. She definitely liked to change it up quite alot... Ivrant couldn't lame her. As much as Ivrant would love to ask questions about the movie biz he needed to learn more about how to properly raise Buster and maybe teach him a powerful attack or two... He did seem to be a bit urked at the little mention of his own home being called a "weak region"... the competitive flames just continued to ignite even brighter in Ivrant's eyes as he eagerly waited for the class to begin.

Name: Rylie Larus || Dorm: Suicune || Team: Fairy Type Classroom
Rylie lazily sauntered into class and took a seat in her usual spot of choice, Center of the room third from the front. Just far enough ahead to where she can hear easily but also far enough back so she doesn’t get called on as often. Not that she was afraid of getting a question wrong, rather she was afraid of giving off a geeky vibe if she answered too many. She probably put far too much thought in this classroom seating tactic but it was one she way happy with. Rylie looked over the teacher for this class, she felt like she had seen her from somewhere before but couldn’t quite figure out from exactly what. Either way she seemed to be dressed rather brightly, almost edging into the territory of gaudy if you asked Rylie. She gave a bit of a sign under her breath, this was not her kind of class. Why couldn’t she have gotten ground type or something like that?

Day 3, (Class weeee)
After healing up his pokemon in the Academy's Pokemon Center, Tobias grabbed his backpack and headed straight to his class. Today he would be taking on the Steel type specialist class. I wonder who's going to be the teacher He thought as he approached the classroom. Jasmine, the Steel type Gym Leader from the Johto region, was sitting behind her desk. He read some articles about her back in Kalos. She was well known in her home region, and her ace pokemon, Steelix, was quite strong. "Someday i will have my own Steelix" Said Toby to himself, in a low voice. He was early, so most of the front seats were available, he chose a seat that was near Jasmine's desk and sat. Finally i'll learn more about Steel types, and how to take better care of Ike He thought for a moment, then he put Amy on his legs. The class was about to start, he just had to wait until the other students showed up.

Fairy Class with Diantha (along Ivrant and Rylie)
Kayrana ambled into the class, followed by Aurai close to her side, and Whimsi who jumped all over leaving little cottonballs. The teacher, Diantha, didn’t seem to notice them much and was just looking through the window. Kayrana did not know which seat to choose, but finally decided for being at the front now, second row. She let her orange backpack on the table and got her notebook and some pens of various colors out, then she grabbed her Raikou jacket and put it on top of her chair, now wearing only her orange shirt. For Kayrana, the teacher wore a not-really-good combination of colors, althought the pink pastel shirt she did like. Aurai and Whimsi were now atop the backpack and Kayrana was playing with them while she waited for the other students to come. She looked around, there weren’t many students. Whimsi now jumped around for a bit, passing dangerously close to a short-haired girl—who was just a seat to the left in the row behind—and leaving some cotton fluff there. Her hair was as short as hers, or even shorter, but color blue. She noticed she had sighed: she didn’t seem to be having as great a time as her. She looked pretty cute to Kayrana, though, but she seemed to give off a vibe of grumpiness, Kayrana thought maybe she didn’t like this class much. But, anyways, at least she was excited to be here as both her companions were Fairies, and she would be glad to know as much as she could about them in order to be able to treat them the best she could. She had, of course, read a lot abut the Fairy-type, but the practical knowledge of a Champion like Diantha couldn’t be missed. She looked back to Aurai who was a bit puzzled as to why Kayrana kept looking behind, and laughed, patting her, waiting for the class to start as Whimsi jumped back up to the side of Aurai.

The Start of Something Great?
Desmond Allen Age: 13
Desmond nonchalantly walked into his class, just avoiding being late by a couple minutes, and made his way towards an open seat. Normally he'd be content sitting towards the back and doing his own thing but Desmond opted to change it up that day. Instead, he made his way towards the front, settling into an aisle seat in the third row on the far left side of the room. Since that day in the library, Desmond couldn't stop thinking about Ares and wanting to learn more about the bug type.
Hecate naturally assumed her position on top of the desk, curling up along the edge and closed her eyes. Desmond gave her a quick nudge, the Umbreon opening her eyes with a puzzled look. "Sorry girl, I know I normally let ya nap during classes that don't pertain to you specifically but I want you paying attention today. You and Ares clearly have a connection and you both should be learning about each other's attributes." The Umbreon gave an annoyed roll of her eyes but complied and adjusted herself so that she'd be facing the front of the room. Desmond gave a small smile towards his partner before reaching down for Ares' PokeBall. In an instant, the Scyther was standing next to his trainer, stretching after being cooped up for a while. "Alright, just like I told Hecate, I want you paying close attention to this class. We're here for you after all." The Scyther gave an affirmation that he understood by clapping his scythes softly together and turned towards the front. Desmond wasn't particularly sure of the rule of how many Pokemon could be outside their balls in class, but then he didn't really care. The teacher could buzz off if she had a problem with it. Speaking of the teacher, the blonde woman seemed almost oblivious to the increasingly full class of students, instead very focused on the pictures hanging on the wall. So much so, she was actually taking photos of the photos. Desmond definitely found it to be a strange sight but shrugged it off. Viola, the teacher, was supposed to be some great Bug type Gym Leader in the Kalos region, so who was he to judge how she lived her life. Clearly it was working.

Corrina Mondragon | 14 | Suicune| | | | | Strands of light forced themselves through the curtains, landing on Corrina's still body. Covers blanketed her, turned away from the window as to avoid getting awoken by the dawn's first rays of sunlight.
All was well until Piplup broke out of her pokéball. She materialized above her trainer, letting out a yip as she descended down. Upon the impact Corrina gasped out, pain radiating out her right abdomen. Piiiiiiplup~!
"Y-you... y-y-y... nooooooo," she wailed, cocooning herself with the blankets out of belief it might relieve her of pain. "We talked about thissssss!" While ignoring Corrina, Piplup made her way towards the fridge. But before the penguin could open to devour its contents Corrina summoned them back into their pokéball. A small whine managed to escape her beak before disappearing into a red beam of light.
And like that she was gone.
"Ugh. What time is it now?" she mumbled, fumbling with her alarm clock. Throughout the night her penguin had been escaping from their imprisonment, somehow managing to wake up Corrina every time. At one point Piplup had the audacity to slam the fridge door back and forth out of sheer boredom.
I don't think returning her to her pokéball will work anymore. Maybe you can get her used to being out? her brother had given his opinion on the matter yesterday evening. Some just don't wanna stay in a pokéball. I got a few friends who rarely return them.
Out of frustration of seeing the pokéball making slight movements, the young girl kicked the covers off from her and marched to her desk. There she grudgingly placed the device on to the desk and wrapped duct tape around it.
"There. You're better this way." The comment didn't convince her. Instead she sat on her bed and stared at the active pokéball. Already her penguin companion wanted to make an exit into the real world, but the tape halted their progress.
If you're anything like dad, which... hahahaha... let's be real here, you are- Corrina glanced at the pokéball, hand obscuring half her face. - then you'll do anything to keep that poor thing in its pokéball. Buuuuuuut you'll make her hate you. Heck, give her to me. She sounds like so much fun!
She toyed with the idea of giving Piplup to her brother, yet it also gave her a sense of cowardice to do so. Giving up indicated failure, and the thought made her grimace.
"...uuuuuugh."
-----
Corrina took the long path to her classes, deep in thought regarding the fate of her penguin partner. Beldum behaved appropriately, obedient and loyal. Piplup on the other hand, while loyal, is far too much for her to handle.
At least the water-type had the decency to remain in her pokéball during classes.
Upon arriving in the classroom Corrina immediately claimed the front seat farthest to the door, but not before giving the teacher the usual "Good Morning." Not only did she want to gain the best experience, but she also grew annoyed by students passing her everytime they had to use the restroom. Thus, the farthest seat.
She had read up on steel-type gym leaders and elites, including Jasmine. Even though she may not be her favorite steel wielder, this shy woman is much preferred over your regular trainer or common teacher.
Corrina sat up straight in her desk, notebook and pen neatly set before her.

Diantha stepped away from the window and walked across the room, closing the classroom door before turning to face her students with a smile. "Good morning everyone. As some of you may know my name is Diantha and I'll be your teacher today for this, the Fairy Type class. The region I'm from, the Kalos region, is at the forefront of research when it comes to Fairy Types so hopefully I can help you all understand the unique properties a little better. Today we'll primarily be looking at the idea of misconceptions and how we as Pokemon Trainers need to both overcome our misconceptions but can also learn the value of the ones our opponents might hold. Does anyone have an idea on what some common misconceptions about the Fairy Type might be? It's one of the Pokemon Types that suffers from them the most after all, so don't be afraid to speak up." Her demeanour towards the students seemed warm and welcoming, which matched with the reputation she had as her regions Champion and as a film star who was generous with her time to her fans. She presented an aura of genuine interest in what her students had to say on the matter that may help some of them feel more at ease with speaking up. *** Once a reasonable amount of time after the final bell had passed Jasmine cleared her throat before speaking up. "Um... G-good morning everybody. My name is Jasmine, Olvine City Gym Leader... um, I specialize in Steel Type Pokemon, which is what we'll be looking at today. Steel Pokemon are, I mean generally speaking, anyway, um, the hardiest Pokemon there are. Known for an almost impenetrable defense, but... a lot of Trainers take this for granted. They think their Steel Pokemon are impervious to harm and... well, they still need the same amount of care as any other Pokemon, so today we'll be talking about that. Caring for them, I mean. Um... a show of hands, please. Who here isn't sure how to look after their Steel Type Pokemons coat, or scales or what have you, or isn't clear on the best diet? It's okay to um... give examples, if you like. You can talk about it." *** "Fantastic!" Viola exclaimed once it seemed everyone had arrived to class, closing the door over (to reveal it had photographs on the back of it...) and turning to face her class. "Good morning everyone and welcome to the Bug Type classroom! My name is Viola and I'm your teacher as well as the Leader of the Santalune City Gym. First of all can I ask anyone who has their Pokemon out who is taller than their desk to please return them to their Pokeballs so you don't block anyone else's view! You'll have an opportunity to bring them out later towards the end of class for a special piece of observation so don't worry about them missing out, I just need them recalled for now!" She grinned, obviously excited by her own lesson plan. "Bug Types are one of the most interesting species of Pokemon to observe, whether trained or in the wild, because of one primary reason in my humble opinion and that is - adaptability! No other Pokemon Type, overall, experiences such versatility as these critters. Now, who has an idea of what I mean by this?"
Sydney immediately shot her hand straight up into the air. "Bug Type Pokemon as a genus display a large variety of sub typings, Miss Viola. The Weedle evolutionary line have Poison, while the Joltik line has Electric, Combee has Flying, Sewaddle has Grass and so on. This is a contrast with other Pokemon types which show less range in this regard like the Ice Type - but we have to take into account that the Bug Type is also one of the most populous which although it helps account for this variety in other typings also supports the theory of them being adaptable." She smiled, putting her hand back down.
"Well that was certainly thorough!" Viola laughed. "It's true, Bug Pokemon are more populous as you put it and display many other Types as well. Would anyone else like to give an example?"

Misconceptions about fairy types? He never really thought much of the type until he got Buster so he was unsure how to say it from his own perspective. This was a far trickier question then he would have ever imagined. He had no idea that a typing could be seen in such a way! "...Misconception? My impression was they were generally a great all around typing when they were discovered. A good defense against powerful Dragon Pokemon and such. I'm actually not sure what way they could be viewed in misconception?" Ivrant wondered aloud genuinely not sure how to answer this question. Couldn't win them all right? It wasn't that the type was considered "girly" was it? No that'd be such a silly answer to just toss out in the middle of a class room! He'd rather look blissfully ignorant.
While Ivrant was thinking about other possible answers he heard the sound of one of his Pokeballs snap right open from his bag! Leaving a Marill shaped mark from his bag. "Oh Buster... not now." Ivrant said as he opened up the bag and immediately got a facefull of Marill! "Mmmph! Buster! We're in class! Comon... don't go running around we'll play outside as soon as we're done. For now you should sit and listen to the teacher here alright?" Ivrant asked his Marill. He noticed there wasn't alot of room to run around in anyways. Too many stuff in the way! The Marill almost wanted to just go back in its ball and wait but opted to just sit down and give a small pout.
"Well guess my misconception would be that fairy types are sure hyperactive judging by this little guy here... eheheh." He added.
