Corrina Mondragon | 14 | Suicune| | | | | From her bag highlighters and pens of various shades of green were taken out to be used on her notes. One could argue with her that she wrote the notes the way she did for mere aesthetics, but she insists it helps her retain the information in addition to keeping it neat.
As students asked questions she began to mentally list dual steel types that seemed to catch her fancy. Empoleon, Magnezone, Steelix, Bisharp, Aegislash, Scizor, Metagross...
Until Empoleon was mentioned by another student. The emperor Pokémon had been utilized in a few televised events, and it was because of them that Corrina had grown the need to own one. To have one in her team to call her own. Of course, not that it was a simple task... already as a Piplup she's seeing bumps on the road.
"...Can we think of any other examples of Pokemon that gain the Steel type when they evolve? Or lose it too, but that... that's really unusual, actually."
As Corrina raised her hand with a name in mind, another student had blurted out her very answer. "Onix! It's a pokemon of the Rock and Ground type, and when it evolves into a Steelix, it gains the Steel type, and um, I think there is a couple more pokemon, but I can't seem to remember their names." It appears Onix was the first to come into his mind, as well as her's, which slightly caught her curiosity. Was this a Pokémon he owned? Or wished to own? Did he simply happen to know his steel types like herself?
"If I may," she began, taking a short pause to change her answer. Her hand had been up prior to him speaking, afterall, no use ridiculing herself and lowering it in defeat. "Scizor is another." She glanced at the boy before resting her eyes on to her notes.

Diantha nodded to Rylie as the girl gave her answer, "Yes, absolutely correct. One of the greatest challenges we face as Fairy Type Trainers is that there just isn't the same wealth of information available to us. Although we're constantly learning new things about all Pokemon this is especially true of the Fairy Type of course! The main thing we can do to try and counteract this is to keep as up to date as we can on all of the new discoveries - but for a Trainer on the road that's easier said than done, isn't it? I feel the key thing here is to try and not become overwhelmed by everything we don't know yet and instead focus on the bond between you and your Fairy Pokemon. You'll often learn more that way than you can from any textbook," she smiled, "or teacher, for that matter." "Now, I understand why some of you might have found this question difficult, it's a touch more advanced. Fairy Types suffer from rather low attack power, at least when it comes to those more physical moves, so that can limit your options. Some of the ways around this problem are to use moves that don't require a lot of physical strength, or to boost your power with a different move. Or lower the enemies defence against those moves, or disable your foe somehow first or... well, you get the idea. Anoth-" She started but was cut off by the ringing of the school bell, signalling that classes were coming to an end. "Oh! Well, I suppose that's all we have time for. Well done everyone, I tried to put you through your mental paces today and you put on a fine showing, you should be proud. Ah, before you go, I'm not issuing homework exactly but rather an assignment! In your next Pokemon battle, whether in the wild or against another Trainer, I want you to remember what we talked about today. Misconceptions about strengths and weaknesses and ways that we can overcome them! Perhaps battle with a type or some other disadvantage and see if you can find new, creative strategies? Best of luck everyone, class dismissed!" *** "Oh, yes, correct. Onix does when it becomes Steelix and... um, yes, Scyther does when it evolves into Scizor too but... um, we had... um, we already mentioned that one..." Jasmine cleared her throat, not entirely comfortable with having to point out a students mistake. "Also, Forretress is one people forget about a lot, it adds the Steel Type to its Bug when it evolves from Pineco. Nosepass and Drilbur too, so... um, more than you might think, perhaps. And who knows what else we might discover? Like the Alolan Diglett and Sandshrew having the Steel Type, that was a big surprise." Jasmine jumped a little as the bell rang, caught off guard. "Oh! Oh. Um, well, I hope today that you all... um, I hope you all learned something. Class dismissed." *** "Correct! Bugsy is a Gym Leader too, although quite a far ways off from my own region of Kalos. Now, everyone, quick, up out of your seats and follow me outside! I think we'll be cutting this a little close but if the bell goes just ignore it, I promise it'll be worthwhile, I have something to show all of you!"
Viola ushered the students up out of their seats and had them follow her out of the classroom after grabbing another set of photographs from her desk. The bell rang as they were walking through the corridors but Viola once again told them not to rush off. A short walk later and the class found themselves outside on the grass, arrayed in a semi-circle around Viola.
"Now that we have a little more space, let's get started!" She grinned, holding up the first photograph, an extremely high detailed colour shot of a Wurmple. "This little guy is one of the best examples of our discussion today! This is Wurmple, a Bug Type, and fairly unexceptional at first glance. Not too dissimilar to other Pokemon like Scatterbug or Caterpie. However where it differs is in evoltuon, those other Pokemon follow a simple evolution path but Wurmple here has two, and it's almost impossible to tell which way it will go! It can involve into either..." she paused as she shuffled the photographs around, displaying two more to the class "...Silcoon, here, or Cascoon! They may look very much the same at first but if you look at them with a keen eye you'll start spotting the differences in no time. Again, not too different from their counterparts like Metapod. But then - they evolve into... well, let's see!"
Viola tucked the photographs under one arm and deftly pulled two Pokeballs from her pocket, throwing them lightly into the air where they popped open and sent out their inhabitants. A Silcoon and a Cascoon!
After a second of seemingly doing nothing both Pokemon began to emit a white glow, the light growing brighter and brighter until it was impossible to clearly make out the Pokemon inside of it, but there was the impression of movement and growth inside the light until it was clear that it no longer contained the same shapes as it originally did. As the light faded it became clear that both Pokemon had evolved, leaving two entirely new Pokemon in their place! The Beautifly and Dustox both gave off happy cries and took the air with determined flaps of their wings, cheerily circling Viola's head as she laughed.
"And that's Pokemon evolution! Silcoon evolves into Beautifly here and gains the Flying Type, while Cascoon evolves into Dustox and gains the Poison Type! A great example of the variety and adaptability of the Bug Type! You're all welcome to take notes or, even better, pictures! Consider class dismissed though, sorry for keeping you all a little late, I hope it was worth it!"
Sydney hadn't actually seen a Pokemon evolve in person before and watched the whole thing in amazement, being particularly impressed by Beautifly - what a gorgeous Pokemon!

Misconeptions and applying it to battle... Ivrant would have to remember that next time he got mixed into a pokemon battle. It could help him overcome alot of struggles within his team... speaking of which, now was a chance to actually speak with Diantha herself about his own little issue. He wasn't sure how much she would know about keeping control of a little guy like Buster. That seemed more like a water type thing but hell, she was the champion! Who better to ask then that right? Ivrant didn't hesitate.
"Uh, Miss Diantha? Thank you for the lesson it was really informative... I uh... had a few more questions though regarding this little ball of energy." Ivrant pointed to Buster who was already pacing around the room as everyone was leaving. Thankfully not using Aqua Jet so it seemed like he was getting a little restraint in closed areas. "Buster here has been pretty unpredictable and a bit inconsistant in battle and overall general behavior... I feel like he's been slowly getting better but he still tends to rush into battle recklessly alot of the time or runs off away on his own. Heck he learned how to break out of his Pokeball too so thats a bit of its own issue... eheh. I figured I could ask if you had any kind of advice for raising a Pokemon like that?"

Corrina Mondragon | 14 | Suicune| | | | | "um, yes, Scyther does when it evolves into Scizor too but... um, we had... um, we already mentioned that one..."
we already mentioned that one... The words sliced her like rusty swords. It was already mentioned? How could she have missed it? The lecture replayed in her mind, yet half of it she couldn't recollect. Why? Perhaps it was due to her fantasizing about Empoleon, not to mention her future team, as well as admiring the male who also owned a Piplup with good behavior.
Disappointed in herself, Corrina pinched the bridge of her nose and scolded herself. It wasn't worth beating herself over, yet these small mistakes could lead to bigger ones. Might as well haunt herself with the one tiny messup than waiting for it to occur again at a bigger scale.
She would simply have to come with a mind free from distractions for the next class. Maybe then she could attempt to be an overachiever and make up for this mistake.
Little did she realize she was overreacting.
The bell had rung to dismiss the students. Corrina swiftly put away her materials and made her way to the Piplup's owner. She didn't hesitate to make her presence known, standing in front of his desk while clearing her throat. "Good afternoon," she initiated, not bothering to wait for him to acknowledge her. "I simply had a question regarding your well-behaved Piplup. You see... I have a Piplup of my own, albeit she is not an obedient Pokémon. In fact, whereas your Piplup sat in silence upon your lap, mine would have ran amok, pestering others and potentially embarrassing me... no, most definitely would have." There was a small pause before she cut to the chase. "How did you manage to train your Piplup to be so well-behaved?"

Tobias collected his belongings and stuffed them in his backpack, Ruby curled up inside taking a nap, and grabbed Amy with his arm. He was about to stand up, and head towards the Cafeteria, but a girl stood in front of his desk, and asked him how did he manage to get Amy so be so well behaved. "G-greetings!," He said, the girl startled him a bit, but he tried to quickly regain his composure and continued " Well, I've been friends with Amy for a while now, I still remember the day she hatched. To put it simply, if you take the time and listen to your pokemon, understand how they feel, you'd be surprised. I mean, simply taking the time to get closer to your pokemon, do your best to understand how they feel, is a good start. You can also take your pokemon out for a walk, or play with them. Thats what I do with Ame, and all of my pokemon, though Ruby still likes to prank people. My apologies if my answer is not satisfying, but that's, in all honesty, what i have learned when i first became a trainer, i've been taught that some pokemon act like that for a lot of reasons, mainly because their trainers, straight up expect them to be well behaved, without caring much for their happiness."

Corrina Mondragon | 14 | Suicune| | | | | As he spoke she began to feel movement inside her bag, indicating that the very Pokémon she was inquiring about wanted out. It irritated her.
"Hmm, well," was all she could respond with. Indeed she was disappointed, amongst other things, having somehow expected a training regime of sorts instead of an answer her own brother could have spat out. "I expected a different response, but then again I asked a stranger." She let out a sigh, beginning to realize that perhaps her brother's mentality wasn't wrong if a stranger seemed to repeat a similar response. Yet she found it hard to accept. To many it comes like second nature - bonding, playing, being a friend - yet Corrina was more inclined to take the discipline route.
Where would she begin?
She left the student be, but not before adding a small note. "I do envy you, however." With that said Corinna made her way out of the classroom, sliding her bag over to her chest.

Dallas Yukira: Foot of the Mountains
Dallas stood nearby as his new traveling companion, known as Jenna, set up a tripod for her camera. After a few minutes of adjusting the lens and finding the best spot for lighting, she returned to his side, "Are you ready? Most people tend to have stage fright."
"Well, you don't have to worry about me." Dallas answered.
"Ooo confident are we? We will see." She smiled.
She composed herself and then placed her hands behind her back, a remote in hand that Dallas could only assume was a remote that could start, stop, and pause the recording from a distance.
"In 3... 2... 1... Good day everyone! My name is Jenna Reynolds! I am here with Dallas Yukira, a Suicune student at the Pokemon Trainer Academy!" She announced excitedly, as the light on the camera shined.
"Hello hello hello! It is nice to be here with you today Jenna." Dallas smiled, turning from the camera to Jenna.
"Thank you, Mr. Yukira. So can you tell me a bit on why you are out here today?" She asked.
"Well Jenna, you see I am studying this pokemon egg, that Mr. Brock gave me." Dallas answered, squatting down to where the egg was.
Jenna sat on her knees on the opposite side of the egg, "Ooo, what a beautiful egg. Why are you out here, of all places, studying the egg?"
Dallas took the top of the case off from the egg so that I could touch it, "Well you see, I don't know what type of pokemon the egg will be. My goal is to see if I can figure that out before it hatches so that I can prepare the correct food and drink for it."
"Oh. I didn't know you could cook as well." Jenna said.
"Not just Pokemon food, but the food we eat as well. In fact, I helped make the breakfast on opening day." Dallas answered, pulling out his personal note pad, which was in his pocket.
"Really!? That is awesome that they would allow that! But that's a story for another day! So how can you study and plan for the pokemon's arrival?" Jenna asked.
"The color of the egg." Dallas replied, returning his small notepad to his pocket.
"Color of the egg?" The girl asked.
"Yep. Sometimes you can study the coloring and possibly even the pattern on the pokemon egg. My father had taught me a small amount, but Mr. Brock told me a bit more." Dallas said.
"What if the egg has more than one color? Could you explain?" Jenna asked.
"Sure thing. You see the grayish blue color could indicate that the egg may belong to a steel or even a rock type pokemon." Dallas said, placing a finger on the greyish blue area of the egg. He then moved his finger to the teal spots, "The teal could be mean that the pokemon is an ice, water or flying type pokemon". Lastly, he placed his finger on the reddish orange area, "And this orange color, could tell you that the pokemon is going to be a fire, ground or fighting type pokemon."
"That is amazing! Do you think I could touch the egg?" Jenna asked.
"Sure." Dallas said, knowing that Jenna wouldn't harm the egg. He had spoken to her a bit before they started the filming and he allowed her to touch the egg then.
Dallas watched as she slowly placed a hand on the egg and it started to move, "I can feel it... It is like something is moving inside." Jenna said, removing her hand from the egg.
"Yeah. I have had to egg for a few days now, so it could be close to hatching soon." Dallas explained, placing the top back over the egg so that it could stay warm.
"So you are going to the mountains to look for a pokemon who could be in the egg?" Jenna asked, as they both stood again.
"Correct. I have already been to the forest, Oak Town, and the abandoned power plant and I know that none of those places have what I am looking for. I figured I would come to the mountains this time around." Dallas answered.
"Do you think the egg could belong to a pokemon that isn't on the island or is very rare?" She asked, then adding, "You did get it from Mr. Brock after all."
"It's very possible, but it doesn't hurt to explore possibilities." Dallas answered.
"You are so correct in that. Thank you for your time Mr. Yukira. I think that about wraps things up." Jenna said.
"You are welcome Miss Reynolds." Dallas replied.
Both Dallas and Jenna looked at the camera, "Until next time, seeya!" Jenna exclaimed, as both waved to the camera, the light going out. "And cut!" Jenna yelled.
Dallas watched as Jenna seemed to become more relaxed, "That was amazing! I wasn't expecting that." Jenna exclaimed.
"I told you I'd be fine." Dallas said with a grin.
"You were better than fine! You sounded like you were like 20 years old! But you are only about my age!" Jenna exclaimed.
Dallas smirked, "Well I do turn 14 soon."
"Wow, you are only 13 and you sound more mature than most guys. I am 15, so I would know. So, how did I do?" Jenna asked, waiting for an answer.
"I think you did great, but I think we both could have moved around a bit more. When you move around, you are more loosened up and can show more fun emotion while filming, dragging the viewers in more." Dallas said.
"Hmm. I guess you are right. That is one thing I need to work on. But you, it was like you were talking to someone at home. You don't even know me well, yet you spoke so... normal. Even I still get stage fright from time to time." Jenna said.
"Well, I guess I kinda was. My dream is to become a world class chef. I used to want my own show and everything. So I'd imagine I was on my own show." Dallas explained, rubbing the back of his head.
"So you also want to be a chef." Jenna stated.
"Yep. I was actually coming to the mountains to look for autumn ingredients as well. I wanted to try out a few new recipes." Dallas explained.
"Do you mind if I hang out for a bit? I would love to know more. Maybe one day I could film you cooking." The girl smiled, walking over to her tripod, folding it down so that it fit in her bag. She then walked back over to where Dallas stood, attaching her camera to her side.
Dallas could feel the heat in his cheeks, "Su...sure. I don't mind." Dallas had never blushed as much as he was now. He hoped that Jenna wouldn't notice. He wasn't sure why he blushed so much, but it was likely due to the fact an older girl asking him if she could stick around.
"Do you think I could continue to go with you on these adventurers as well? I would love to film the two of us studying the wild pokemon. Maybe even crack the mystery of that egg. Pun intended by the way." She winked.
Dallas laughed, "I don't mind, but I am not sure when it will hatch. I do have to ask though; why are you so interested?" He heat in his cheeks started to cool with the wind.
The girl paused for a second, "To be honest, I was out looking for something to film and investigate. My dream has always been to become someone like my Idol. I have been struggling to find things to report on."
"Your idol?" Dallas asked.
"Yes. Emilia Christie from Ryme City."
"Ryme City? I don't think I have ever heard of that place. What region is it in?" Dallas asked.. He also had never heard of the Emilia person, but he didn't bring that up.
"Honestly, I don't know myself. I am from the Unova Region. I have read many stories about her, and even watched many of her reports on the internet. None in which really say what region it is in." Jenna explained.
"I have always wanted to visit Unova. I am from Kalos." Dallas said.
"You should! It is really fun, especially when the holidays come to town!" She explained.
"So should we start up the mountain? We might be able to find a place for lunch." Dallas asked.
"Sure, let's get going!" She exclaimed.
They continued to speak for a bit while they started to climb the mountain. It wasn't long before their stomachs started to growl and they needed to find a place to eat.

Ashley pushed the stray textbook and a few papers in her bag and sighed as she heard a quiet pop. Without looking, she snatched a now burning paper away from October. She crumpled up the paper and threw it in a wastebin, except it missed so she was forced to manually put it in the trash can. She slung her bag over her shoulder and cradled her Litwick in the crook of her elbow.
"I really don't know why I keep you around sometimes. You make it hard to care for you all the time. I really should just leave you out in the rain..." October's flame leapt higher in the air and Ashley chuckled. "I wouldn't really do that, you know. I'd feel guilty and I really don't want to explain why you went missing. I don't want to start a fire, so I think I need to return you for a bit." October was returned as Ashley pushed open the doors to the grassy yard and promptly plomped down in the grass. August soon popped out of his ball and pranced around the field before laying down beside Ashley, who was simply taking in the simple beauty of the field. It truly was nice out with a pleasant breeze blowing and a placid sun. A cloud or two drifted lazily across the sky and the breeze shuffled the grass about. It was truly a shame to spend the day inside. It was too nice to be inside. August seemed to be like minded, having stood up and staring towards the wind, which blew from the east. He started to walk away. Having no choice, and decent rations, Ashley had no choice to but to follow her Deerling. Not that she minded. It was what she wanted. The two walked off in the direction of the Ice Plains.

Corrina Mondragon | 14 | Suicune| | | | | As expected the penguin managed to escape its pokéball halfway into the trek back to the dorms. And, like previous similar moments, Corrina promptly returned her to her pokéball. It became repetitive - second nature really - as the water type refused to accept defeat and continued to escape her imprisonment. This continued until the dorms were at the student's feet. By then she had given up and allowed the creature to wander. Not a peep escaped Corrina, whereas Piplup was bursting with energy and adorable pips.
They made their way towards the dorms. "I need a new Pokémon," she mumbled upon unlocking her dorm door, earning her a slight head tilt from the bird. "Maybe then you'll learn how to behave." The comment had flown over the Pokémon's head.
With a sigh she pushed open the door, allowing Piplup to roll inside. On the desk sat a torn piece of notebook paper with scribbles written all over. It listed possible areas where steel types could congregate. "Onix were more likely to be found in the mountains or caverns," Corrina began to read her notes aloud. "Magnemite in the power plant... Ferroseed in either forests or caverns." On the wall before her was a map of the island held up by pins.
Amongst the closest areas, therefore convenient, were the ice caves.
With a white fur coat to match her pastel green, comfortable, rather bulky outerwear, Corrina was ready to set off into a journey. Piplup stood beside her, excited just by setting her dressed for an adventure. Pip pip pip pip! "Uuuuuugh."
And they took off.

Dallas Yukias: Mountains
Dallas and his new friend Jenna found a nice flat area where they could take a break after climbing for the last 20 minutes. The area was so nice, it looked as if it was made for trainers to rest at. There were rocks that were smooth and large enough to sit on, a make shift fire pit near as well. There was a small stream that flowed down the mountain, probably from a spring within. Dallas removed his bag from his back and took in the fresh mountain air. He was use to hiking with his parents all the time back in Snowbelle City, so the climb hadn't really bothered him. Dallas assumed that they probably wouldn't climb much higher, otherwise, he would need warmer clothing.
"This seems like a good spot." Jenna said, looking around the area, hands on her hips.
"Yeah. Not sure we need to go much higher. We should've worn better clothing to do that. Even though I am from Snowbelle, where it's literally always snowy, anyone would probably need more clothing the higher they go, even with a volcano being here." Dallas said, taking a seat on one of the rocks, placing his bag in front of him.
"Agreed, I'm starting to get cold myself. I'd rather not get sick." Jenna said, claiming a rock next to him, taking her own bag and camera off, placing them on the rock next to her.
The wind was blowing by, as they sat on the rocks. The sun was warm, but with the wind, it was almost cold. The ground was warm with the noon sun, but even Dallas could feel autumn coming. He removed his case, that contained the egg, from his bag and placed it beside him so that it could get some sunlight. He searched his bag for a pack of dry meat and pulled it out as well as a near empty bottle of water. He removed one piece from the container, taking a sip of water before he started to tear the meat apart with his teeth. He heard Jenna's stomach growl, causing him to look at her. Her mouth was practically watering, as she looked at Dallas' food.
"You know, when you hike, you should bring food with you." He said, shaking the jerky back and forth to tease her.
"I wasn't expecting to hike up the mountain. Don't tease." She said, stomach growling, causing her to turn red.
Dallas smiled and he handed her the pack of jerky. She gladly took it, taking a few pieces for her self, before returning the package to Dallas. She began tearing the dried meat with her teeth. She then removed a bottle from her bag, taking a sip of the water that was within.
"This is good! Is this your recipes?" Jenna asked.
"I would hope not. This tastes like cardboard compared to my superior flavors." Dallas said with sarcasm, "I got this from Oak Town the other day. I haven't been able to make my own yet." Dallas said, placing the jerky on the rock.
"You are really confident in your cooking ability aren't you. I expect to taste your jerky so that I can prove it. Maybe that confidence is a bluff impress the ladies." Jenna smirked.
Dallas blushed again, but not as long as the last. He finished the rest of his water off, standing up, walking over to the spring to refill it. Jenna followed with her own bottle, filling it up beside Dallas.
"So what sort of ingredients are you looking for exactly?" Jenna asked, taking a sip of her now full bottle of water.
Dallas did the same, both returning to their rock, "As I said, I am looking for autumn ingredients. So I wouldn't mind finding some mountain apples and pears. I would also love to find some pumpkin, but I doubt I would find wild pumpkin here. I don't think I have even seen wild pumpkin before. There are also certain berries that are probably more common up here on the mountain than other places."
"So you think there are fruits here because of the volcanic soil? I guess that makes sense, since volcanic soil is supposed to be the richest soil in the world." Jenna said.
"Yep. I am also wondering if I can find wild veggies up here as well, So when it does get colder, I can make my mother's soup. She is mainly a baker, but also a great cook. We would surprise my father when he returned in the winter with a special soup that we created. It was the first time my father complimented me on my cooking without critiquing it." Dallas added.
"Is your father ever home?" Jenna asked, as she leaned back, brushing her camera with her hand.
"He is usually traveling. He is a chef that travels around the world to cook for people in different regions. Currently he is in Sinnoh." Dallas said, standing up to stretch, he reached down to grab his jerky, but it was gone.
He looked around, but he didn't see anything, "Well crap. I was too busy talking about food and a pokemon stole the jerky."
Jenna laughed a little, "I think I saw something green steal it, but not sure. But there is nothing we can do now. You said yourself it tasted like cardboard."
Dallas placed the egg back in his bag, as Jenna stood to also stretch. He pulled up his sleeve to reveal his C-Gear, looking at the time.
"Oh! You have a C-Gear!" Jenna exclaimed.
"Oh yeah. Sorry I didn't even think about it. My father had this one made for me. I prefer the C-Gears over most other things. So my dad had this one made for me. It includes almost every gadget that is useful to a pokemon trainer." Dallas explained.
"In that case, how about we have a battle?" Jenna asked, clasping her hands behind her back. Looking away to look down upon the land they now stood above.
"A battle?" Dallas asked in surprise.
"Yeah! It can be for fun. You said you wanted to train right? We can have a one on one battle. If you win, I will give you my number!" Jenna exclaimed, her back still turned away from Dallas.
"Wh...what? But I didn't ask." Dallas tried to exclaim, he could feel heat returning to his cheeks.
"You don't always have to ask you know." She said, turning around and winked.
"I thought you were nice... now you just tease." Dallas said, looking away as the blushing started to get the better of him. From the mountain, he could see the dorms. He could see people walking in all different directions. He figured that class had ended for most.
"Well... you teased me with food, so I am getting you back." Jenna said, moving her finger side to side.
Dallas thought about it for a minute. It wasn't like it was a bad thing. He was sure that he could win, but what would happen if he lost?
"So what happens if you win?" Dallas asked.
"Ah so you aren't always thinking you will win. Good. Hmm... if I win?" Jenna thought for a moment, "You have to cook for me and not just something easy. You have to cook a full meal and it has to be something fancy. If I don't like it, then you have to drop down to Entei."
Dallas smiled as he pulled one of his pokeballs from his waist, "Your on!"
"Good! Now meet my friend!" Jenna said, pulling a pokeball from her side, throwing it lightly in the air. A small bat like pokemon appeared and flew upward, revealing a Noibat.
"A Noibat huh? I didn't expect that, but I have the perfect pokemon for it!" Dallas called, throwing his own pokeball into the air to reveal Freeze, his Alolan Vulpix.
"Oh how cute! I have never seen one before, but my Noibat has a surprise! So don't get overconfident!" Jenna challenged.
Dallas smirked, "I look forward to seeing it."

To The Ice Plains uwu
Tobias stood in place for a second, surprised from the girl's attitude. She was not exactly rude, but she seemed to expect her pokemon to just respect her without her putting in the effort. He shrugged and walked out of the classroom, and headed towards the Cafeteria, he drank a cup of Moomoo milk, took a few portions of berry pie, and headed towards his dorm. He, finally, decided to quickly organize his room. So, he placed his notebook and pen on his desk, then he placed his clothed in the Pokédex-shaped closet. Then, he put on a cotton jacket, closed the door behind him and headed outside of the Pokémon Trainer Academy. Since the start of the Steel type specialist class, and he had Steelix in his mind. He knew deep down that the moment he meets a Steelix he'll be so scared that he won't know what to do, even though he was adamant on someday training one. He wasn't the same around Steelixes since that accident. He took a deep breath, and continued his way toward the Icy Plains.

Day 3 (Cyan used Focus Energy!)
Now, that was a demonstration. Experiencing Pokemon evolution first hand was just incredible. He looked at Lara after it happened. Larvesta only evolves after level 55, and Lara is still level 14. It would take a long time for her to do the same thing the Cascoon and Silcoon did. Lara looked back at him, with a worried expression. "Hey, it's going to take a while, but it's nothing some training can't fix, right?" That seemed to cheer her up. But the truth is, Cyan had no idea of how to train them properly. They did a small training session when they arrived at Oak Island, but it was very messy and unorganized. at some point a wild Pokemon stole part of their makeshift stuff. However, this time, he had a plan. Cyan is training only Bug Type Pokemon, so which would be a better way of learning then Battling a Gym Leader, and one that also specializes in Bugs? He was still bummed out that Viola couldn't remember him, and maybe never will, but that didn't matter at that point. His team wanted a full on battle since they arrived, and that was their chance. So, Cyan used Focus Energy (ง'̀-'́)ง, walked up to Viola and challenged the Gym Leader: "Hm, Viola? Hi, my name is Cyan, that was really nice display. I sort of want my Pokemon to evolve too, and they are also Bug types. So, I ask, may I please have the honor of battling you?"Party

Diantha wasn't exactly shocked when one of the students approached her after class, the only question was whether it was in her capacity as a film star or Pokemon Champion. She was pleased to see that it was the latter, it was encouraging to know that the young students on the island were taking their training seriously. "Well," she said after hearing Ivrant out, "Every Pokemon is an individual case of course, regardless of type or species. We can only use those points to inform our approach, not determine it, yes? So I can give you some general advice but the specifics will be up to you. If your Marill seems to have too much energy that's a determination you have made. You've decided it has more energy than it should but that isn't the role of a Trainer, our job is to help our partners become the best they can be. You'll never be able to reduce the total amount of energy your Marill has and even if that were possible it would be a disservice to both of you." "So, your conclusion that your Marill has too much energy is, well, I suppose you could call it a misconception, couldn't you?" Diantha smiled, circling back to the topic of the class. "It has a lot of energy, yes, but too much? It's much more likely you haven't determined how best to help it channel all of that wonderful energy, if you can do that you'll be grateful it has so much. The three main approaches you could take are," she ticked them off on her fingers, "Discipline - meaning you teach it to be more controlled and responsive to your commands. Trust - forming a deeper bond so that your Marill trusts that your instructions are in its best interest even if it doesn't always understand why. Exercise - put that energy to constructive use by engaging in more physical activity that you decide, not Marill, like training or battles so that it isn't always so restless." "The best approach is up to you, of course, as only you know yourself as a Trainer and your Pokemon. All three have value and you can combine the approaches as you see fit, but they're really the best options available. At least to my mind. Does that help at all?" *** "Oh! Well..." Viola mused, the two newly evolved Pokemon still flying around her, "It sounds like you're still fairly new to your role as a serious Pokemon Trainer. I could battle you, I suppose, but then I'd only be helping you right? How about you battle another student instead, that way you can both benefit! Let's see..." She looked around, spotting Sydney gathering up her things. "Hey there, could you come here for a moment please?" She called out.
Sydney looked around before realising that Viola actually was talking to her and not someone else. Had she done something wrong!? She saw that some familiar looking boy was standing with her and suddenly realised where she recognised him from - she had bumped into him just after catching Faustus when her memory had been all screwy. She could have been nicer to him, sure, but she'd been in distress... had he really gone and TOLD on her!? She bit her lip nervously and walked over. "Uh... yes, Miss Viola?"
"Sorry to bother you but if you don't have somewhere to be, this young man was hoping for a Pokemon Battle. What do you say to giving him a match? He asked me but I think you two should battle instead, besides, I need to go deal with these two!" She laughed as the Beautifly and Dustox each struggled to land on her head at the same time. "Oh... oh! Sure!" Sydney beamed, happy for the chance at another battle and more than a little relieved that she wasn't in trouble. "I'm always up for a Pokemon battle!" "Fantastic! Alright you two, have a great match!" Viola grinned at them both before departing, calling the two Pokemon back to their Pokeballs as she walked away. "I, uhhh... listen," Sydney sighed, "I'm sorry about the other day when you tried to help me, I could have handled the whole thing a lot better. It turns out a Pokemon had messed with my memories so I wasn't exactly myself. How about we start fresh with this battle?"

Ivrant was happy to have such a detailed response coming from the champion of his own region. Ivrant at least had the exercise part down. Buster was clearly a little more controlled then he used to but that energy still had yet to be channeled. It would usually go all out in battle after it had a chance to use all that power on some unsuspecting opponent. He'd have to seriously consider all his options approaching how he'd keep Buster in check for everyones sake. As if on cue, Buster ran straight toward them and face slammed into the desk in a comedic fashion, looking up at Ivrant with a big goofy smile.
"Thank you. That's just the advice I needed to hear. I'll get the most out of this little ball of energy. He's been slowly getting more controlled so something must be working. Just need to get something solid working." Ivrant smiled back at Buster.
"Anyways I won't keep you much longer I'm sure other students have some questions too. I uh... would love to battle you sometime just to at least see how far I have to go as a trainer you know? For now I should head into town and get some more stuff for my team. Thank you miss Diantha!" Ivrant said, giving a small bow and heading on outside. Overall the entire class turned out really well for Ivrant. He could definately put these lessons to some proper use next time he headed into battle. Misconceptions huh... he supposed he'd have to really see that idea in action himself. For now he needed to check out the TM store and see if his budget could handle it.

Bonding with her Pokemon was what Kayrana did best: won’t be a problem. As the class came to an end Kayrana wasn’t sure how much she had learned, but she had had a fun time, and now she understood she had to look out for Berries to protect her friends from super-damaging moves. Kebia, Babiri, Occa. These three berries the three would look for in the forest, provided Kayrana didn’t forget midway. While Diantha headed to leave, a kid had approached her; Kayrana paid no heed to that and left the classroom after waking up the two cuties who where sleeping soundly around her. Whimsi opened its eyes slowly and immediately started jumping everywhere, while Aurai woke up easily just after Kayrana touched her forehead and was ready to leave, standing on Kayra’s shoulder.
Back on their room, Kayrana grabbed the map of the island and sat on the floor, crosslegged, looking for where to go next. Again to the forests? Aurai sat next to her while Whimsi, strangely, also did that instead of jumping around. Was she tired? Immediately, Whimsi moved her little arms and pointed to the Icy Plains, “Whimsi, Whimsicott!” she squeaked happily. Kayrana gazed at her and saw how excited she was; of course, she couldn’t but accept. She then turned to look at Aurai; Aurai first pointed at Whimsi, then to the forests in the map, and then made a circle in the air with her hands multiple times; after that, she mimicked falling asleep. But then she changed pace and pointed at the Ice and jumped, with her hands up. Kayrana giggled and Whimsi nodded. “That was an extraordinary explanation, Aurai!” she smiled, “for sure, then, we are headed towards the Icy Plains!” she exclaimed as she caressed Whimsi’s cotton fur. Kayrana packed up and then dressed hastily with long blue jeans, a light-blue long-sleeved t-shirt with a turqoise jacket; also wore an orange wool hat, as well as packing some orange gloves in her jacket’s pockets just in case.
The plains were surprisingly close to the dorms, and weren’t hard to reach at all, since only grassland was to be found on the way there. They spotted only a Sentret—who was standing high on its tail and upon seeing them immediately rushed away—and a Butterfree that fluttered along them for a while, leaving as soon as they made it into the outskirts of the Icy Plains. “Awh, that Butterfree seemed eager to tag along with us… is the weather so hazardous as to make her leave?” she asked her friends. Whimsi seemed to be remarkably resilient to the weather but Aurai clinged to Kayra’s neck to get some warmth.
A menacing Glalie could be seen looming in the distance, just behind some snow-covered trees. They moved as far from it as possible, stumbling upon a Snorunt who ambled around calmly. They let it be. “Aurai, come.” Aurai got to Kayra’s belly and she held her on her hands, giving her warmth; Whimsi, meanwhile, examined further away in hopes of finding either an amicable Pokemon or a harmed Pokemon, to befriend them or to help them respectively. Probably up to doing some pranks as well, as she was. Kayrana hoped to still find some Berries, but there weren’t many (if at all) that grown on such Icy terrain.
What adventures lay ahead for our three friends on the Icy Plains? Will they be able to gather unharmed? Will they find a new friend? Only time and their decisions will tell!

Dalex Yukirah: Mountains "You first Dallas!" Jenna called, as she stood. ready to call an attack.
Dallas was also in a stance where he could call an attack. He had a huge advantage with Freeze knowing both Moonblast and Powder Snow, but Moonblast could only be used once. Freeze was still fairly new to battling and wasn't currently strong enough to use it like a normal move. Noibat waited for the attack and Freeze was read.
"Alright. Freeze Dark Pulse!" Dallas commanded.
Freeze drew its head back, 'Vul....PIx!' A wave of dark energy shot from Freeze's mouth, heading toward the Noibat.
"Noibat, use gust to send it back!" Jenna commanded.
The Noibat beat its wings with great power and sent a powerful gust attack from its wings. The gust collided with the dark pulse, sending it back at Vulpix.
"Aim powder snow at the ground! The use Dark Pulse in the air!" Dallas called.
Freeze did just that and the powder snow sent the pokemon up in the air.
"Use screech while flying toward Vulpix and then use bite!" Jenna cried.
The Noibat was far faster in the air and flew toward the white fox pokemon, sending out a powerful screech attack. Freeze cried as the sound hurt its ears, unable to defend or dodge in bid air, the Noibat was able to land a bite attack on he fox pokemon. Freeze fell to the ground, struggling to stand.
"Use Sunny Day!" Jenna called.
The Noibat cried and the sun and heat intensified. Dallas knew that Freeze was struggling.
"Freeze, can you go on?" Dallas asked.
'Vulpix!' the pokemon cried, standing up.
"Use Powder Snow!" Dallas called.
Vulpix quickly shot a Powder snow out of its mouth and hit the Noibat, causing it to fall to the ground.
"Noibat, you good?" Jenna asked.
'Noi!' The pokemon cried, standing up.
"Well it looks like the next attack will be the last one." Jenna said.
"I hate to agree, but I think you are right." Dallas said.
Both trainers smiled at one another, waiting for the other to make a move first. Noibat and Freeze were ready to attack, but they stood, both breathing hard. The wind blew around both of them, causing Jenna's hair to blow in the wind. Both Dallas and Jenna closed their eyes, taking in the mountain breeze, and as it died down, both trainers opened their eyes and pointed at once another.
"Freeze! Use Moonblast!" "Noibat! Heat Wave!"
Both trainers commanded their pokemon at the same exact time. Vulpix and Noibat cried and a silver pink black shot from Vulpix's mouth. While a red mist like substance shot at the Noibat's wings. The attacks collided and the pushed against one another. Vulpix held back, but the heat was becoming to much. The powered up heat wave sliced the moonblast in half and hit Vulpix at full power, causing it to cry in pain and roll multiple times.
"Freeze!" Dallas cried, running over to his white fox pokemon, was out.
"Is it ok?" Jenna asked, running over to where the white fox pokemon laid.
Blaze popped out of its own pokeball and ran over to Dallas' bag. Blaze was careful not to bump the egg as it pulled out an oran berry with its mouth.
'Pix!' Blaze cried, oran berry still in its mouth.
Dallas held out his hand and Blaze dropped the berry into it, "Thanks Blaze. And yeah, she will be just fine in a moment."
"Here you go Freeze." Dallas said, propping the Alolan Vulpix's head up with his free hand, squeezing the berry juice into Freeze's mouth. The white Vulpix opened its eyes.
'Vulpix....' Freeze said in a sad tone.
"Hey don't worry little girl. Jenna was stronger, but that won't be the case next time." Dallas said, as Freeze rolled over.
"I am sorry Freeze, Noibat may have went a bit overboard there." Jenna said, putting a hand out.
'Noi...." Noibat looked down.
Dallas was about to say something, but to his surprise, Freeze walked closer to Jenna's hand, rubbing up against it.
"Wow..." Dallas said in wonder.
"What? All it is doing is rubbing up against my hand." Jenna smiled, laughing slightly, "Haha it tickles."
"Freeze doesn't like other humans. I have never seen it react so friendly to another trainer other than my parents and myself. You must be special and don't worry Noibat. It is a battle." Dallas said, reaching for Noibat to pet it, then leaning back on his hands.
"Really? I guess I am special then aren't I." Jenna smiled.
"Apparently. Freeze was abandoned outside of Snowbelle City. I think the trainer was thinking that it was doing to right thing, but failed to realize an Alolan Vulpix cannot survive alone in the snows of Kalos." Dallas said. _______________________________________________________________________________
Dallas and Jenna sat on the ground together, playing with both Vulpix and Noibat. Dallas looked over at Jenna's stuff, and the camera was on the ground, facing toward them. He noticed the light was on, "Hey. Did you film all of that? Your camera light is on."
Jenna looked over, "Oh! I must have brushed it. When I sat down earlier." Jenna stood up from the ground, dusting off her bottom and the walking over to turn off her camera. Dallas stood up as well, walking over to his own stuff. He zipped up his bag, putting it on his back. Jenna also was packing up.
"Ok guys. Return. We need to head to the Center." Dallas said, returning both Blaze and Freeze to their pokeballs.
"Yeah, probably wise." Jenna said, returning her Noibat to its ball. She then put her messenger bag around her chest.
Both of them walked to the edge and overlooked the island, the sun sparkled off the ocean, making it look beautiful from so high up. Dallas looked over at Jenna who filming the view.
"Your Noibat is strong. I was surprised you had one." Dallas said.
"Yeah. Most people wouldn't think someone wanting to be a journalist would have one. But imagine this; you are flying high in the sky on top of Noivern, able to take videos that no one else could, not even in a helicopter. I would always be able to get views like this. In the city... over the mountains.... across the ocean.... and on grasslands, flying beside wild pokemon in their natural habitat. I would love to report about stuff like that. I could become one of the best journalists in the world. " Jenna said, her hair flowing in the wind.
"Yeah. I know what you mean. I would...... give anything to be on TV. That camera, how long have you had it?" Dallas asked, as he looked over the island with Jenna, standing above mostly everything on the island.
"It belonged to my father. He gave it to me a few days before he past away." Jenna put her free hand on the arm that was filming.
"Oh.. I am sorry... If I had known, I wouldn't have spoke about my father earlier." Dallas said.
"It's ok. I just miss him so much and hearing about your father, reminded me how much I did miss him. It wasn't just my camera he gave me, he also gave me a pokemon egg. When I saw you and your egg, it brought back memories of my father that I hadn't thought about in a long time. That is why I wanted to come with you." Jenna said, "Not only that, before today, I wasn't sure I could become a journalist. I feared that I would fail. My mother never supported my dream, no one had. Not until you." She looked at Dallas then turned away to stare at the island.
Dallas looked at her, he could see her eyes looking out in the distance, "Why? Why did they not support it?" Dallas asked.
"Because, that is how my father was killed. He was recording with his crew about a rampaging pokemon in Lumious City. He was caught up in an explosion. He was hospitilized and we thought he had recovered, but he died two years later when I was 10. His body just gave out." Jenna cried.
Dallas put a hand on her shoulder, "As long as you reach high enough, you can do anything. And no matter how bad things get, no matter how bad you screw up, your father will always be proud of you. My father... he doesn't show it, but I know he is proud of me. I can see it in his eyes. He critiques my stuff so that I can become the best that I can be."
They sat down together bit longer, talking about her projects she had filmed. The mood of sorrow, started to return to a more happy mood as they spoke about their classes they had the last few days and talking about the upcoming holidays.
"You said you wanted to be a chef, why? Just to be better than your father?" Jenna asked.
"Yeah, but not just any type of chef. I want to become a world renowned chef. I do want to become better than my dad, but there is so much more I want. I want to travel. I want to see the world. I want to make people smile with my cooking. I want to be in Food Battles and defeat pokemon together with my pokemon, with our cooking. But most of all, I want my cooking to reach everyone in the world. I want people to smile and enjoy life by just watching me cook. Becoming better than my Dad is just a stepping stone to much more." Dallas looked up, reaching for the sky. He turned to see Jenna filming him. He could hear fluttering coming from behind him, causing him to look back. Jenna did the same thing, camera still recording as many Vivillon of all different sizes and patterns flew over head.
"Wow." Dallas and Jenna said together, following the Vivillon with their eyes and Jenna's camera.
Once they were gone, he turned to Jenna, "So, when do you want me to cook?"
"What do mean?" Jenna asked.
"The deal we made, if I lost, I would have to cook a full meal for you." Dallas reminded her.
"Oh that's right! Give me your wrist!" She commanded, jerking his hand and pushing his sleeve up to reveal his C-Gear. She quickly went through the screens and started pushing on the screen over and over.
"What are you doing?" Dallas asked, but she was already done. He looked down and saw her name and number.
"I didn't win.. I didn't ask for it, so why did you give me your number?" Dallas asked.
"How rude! Usually a guy just takes a girl's number! How do you expect to contact me for more of your adventurers, or for the daa..a..a..... I mean dinner." She quickly corrected herself, letting go of his wrist.
"Well... I don't know?" Dallas admitted, putting his wrist down.
"Haha see! Besides, now you can brag that an older girl gave you her number!" She closed one eye and grinned.
Dallas shrugged, "By the way, what the heck does daa..a..a mean?" Dallas asked.
"N...n...n...nothing! I just got my words confused, that is all!" She whirled around, turning her back to him, "I was speaking faster than I was thinking."
Dallas heard a bush move close by, but when he looked, there was nothing moving. Then he thought he heard someone calling for help, but it sounded so far away and the wind was making a lot of noise so he pushed to the back of his mind thinking it was the wind.

Day 3 (But it Failed! Sort of.)
Cyan took the shot... and it missed? Well, he got a battle. Just not with who he was expecting. And from everyone that was still around, It was 'that girl'! The one he sort-of-helped-and-unexpectedly-caught-a-Pokemon. You know, common things that happen everyday. Even more unexpectedly, the girl was apologizing to him! In Cyan's mind, it was the exact opposite that should be happening; Him apologizing to her because he didn't do much. Well, this made things a bit more embarrassing. But not enough for him to decline a battle! His team was itching for one for some time now. "Well... Hm, I thought I was the one supposed say sorry since I barely helped you then. I... I hope you are fine, even if... did your memories really came back? Oh... huh... forget I said that. Let's just have a battle, I guess... also, my name is Cyan, in case you didn't know."

After a decently long walk, Ivrant had finally arrived at Oak Town. This was going to be the first step to finally getting his team organized and in top shape. Some powerful new moves would surely get someone like Knox fully into gear. His first destination was the TM shop, properly set in the central part of town. It resembled an old Pokemart with a blue roof and evrything. Despite how many TMs were available it was a rather small and humble store. They sold usual supplies alongside TMs as well so it was part Pokemart as well for the sake of convenience, even though a store always exsisted in a Pokemon Center nowadays. It was very old fashioned which Ivrant could respect.
"Alright we gotta get Knox a new powerful attack. Lets see... Knox is a ghost type sooo... Shadow Ball should be a good powerful move! I know that's a TM around here... lets see." Ivrant said as he walked inside. Knox was sliding around beside Ivrant, looking around the small store nervously. "Don't worry Knox, once we teach you Shadow Ball you'll have yourself a powerful move on your hands!" Ivrant said happily.
"Shadow ball huh? The kids got money!" A voice said from the counter. He gave off a small wave toward Ivrant. He was roughly in his fifties it seemed like. Short black hair, long black shirt, brown vest, and black jeans. He was dressed rather casually. Was he the only one running the place?
"Uh... hi there! Ehehe... uh... money? Well I was looking to teach Knox here a brand new move. Something like Shadow Ball? He really needs some offense and all that." Ivrant explained.
"Ah well you wouldn't happen to be the first looking for a brand new move for your mon. Though that ones definately one of the big ones. Usually run that for a gooood... 30,000 Pokedollars." He explained casually.
A small gust of wind could be heard brushing past Ivrant as he stood there shocked. "...oh... that's alot of money..." Ivrant said as his plans seemed to completely go down the toilet. Ivrant could certaintly buy it but he wouldn't be left with a whole lot of money to spend on more important things such as potions...
"Ever since TMs became reusable the prices have skyrocketed. Its a great convenience but it doesn't exactly make business good especially since trainers just share the moves or heck, I've even heard rumors of them illegally copying the discs to resell for their selves. That just makes the prices even higher unfortunately. We don't even have the single use discs brought in anymore." The store owner explained. "Hmm... well are there any er... more affordable TMs then? I really just want to give Knox here some form of attack just to make battles a little easier on her. Can't I like... I dunno, rent one? Or just use it for a single use? She's the only one on my team I really need to get an attack like that on." Ivrant explained.
"No can do." The owner explained. "As muh as I'd like to, I have to sell these things you know? Theres ways out there to make some cash if your in need of some but its just something your gonna have to work for unless you'd rather go for something cheaper." He explained. Ivrant was pretty bummed out now. He couldn't possibly afford something like Shadow Ball anytime soon...
"Well if your looking for a cheaper TM for yourself, might I recommend Hidden Power? TM10 right here." The man pointed out. "Its far more affordable then the rest and is more mass produced then the other TMs in my store... interested?"
"You drive a hard bargain. What kinda move is it?" Ivrant asked.
"Well it depends on your Pokemon honestly. Anyone can lean the move but the typing depends on your Pokemon's personality and other factors. If it weren't reuseable I'd call it a gamble haha." The owner explained. Any type? Ivrant was tempted to go for it... while he already spent a good amount of money on Shadow Ball itself having a move like that would be decent offense for his other Pokemon for sure. He could share the move with his friends too! It'd be exciting to see what kind of typings other Pokemon could get out of this!
"Know what? Sure! I'll take your deal! How much?" Ivrant asked.
"Only 10,000 Poke" The owner replied. Ivrant's wallet let out a loud cry suddenly.
---- Ivrant spent more money then he would have liked to admit... but it was worth it. Knox had some proper attack power and this Hidden Power TM could be insanely helpful against other typings. It was like Diantha said... taking advantage of any misconceptions! Hidden Power could probably be just the move to make that work. The only problem is how on earth was he going to know the type of the attack before going into battle? Well, just something he'd have to find out in the future. For now he had to get some training in.

Dallas Yukira: Mountains and Cave Part 1: A Bit of Dungeon Craw (Note: Turtwig is not a wild pokemon. Explanation further in.)
Once the two finished looking across the island, they started down the mountain. Before they got very far, Dallas felt a tug and he fell backwards. The bag was so loose and heavy, that it he slid it off his arms to avoid falling on the egg. It was then taken by a pokemon.
"My egg!" He exclaimed, quickly getting to his feet. He was unable to see where the pokemon went.
"It was a Turtwig, It used its Leech Seed to make you fall. I think it was the same pokemon who stole your jerky." Jenna explained.
"Did you see where it went?" Dallas asked, desperate for an answer.
"No, but maybe my camera can tell us a possible direction it went." Jenna suggested.
"You mean from the video that you recorded by mistake?" He asked
"Yeah. Let's see..." Jenna said, pulling her camera from her side and turning it on.
The video began to play. Dallas got close enough to Jenna so that both of them could watch the video.
"I would hope not. This tastes like cardboard compared to my superior flavors. I got this from Oak Town the other day. I haven't been able to make my own yet." Dallas said, placing the jerky on the rock.
"You are really confident in your cooking ability aren't you. I expect to taste your jerky so that I can prove it. Maybe that confidence is a bluff impress the ladies." Jenna said.
Dallas stood up after finishing his water and walked out of frame. After about three seconds, the Turtwig appeared and stole the jerky from the rock and ran east out of view.
Jenna shut off the camera, stopping the viewing. "So the jerky was stolen when we both got up to get water. Our pokemon should be fine as long as we don't use them. " Jenna said, "So lets go after your egg."
"Yeah once we get my egg bag, we will make a bee line to the Poke Center." Dallas said, heading east after the Turtwig. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________
As they walked, Jenna turned on her camera , "Good afternoon everyone! Jenna here, back with Dallas Yukira. We are in pursuit of a Turtwig who has swiped Dallas' bag after using Leech Seed on him, causing him to fall. We don't know why the Turtwig has done such a deed. Dallas, do you have an idea?"
Dallas looked back at the camera, Jenna filming as they walked, "No. I do know that Turtwig are not found on this island nor can you find grass types up here in the mountains. It is likely that this pokemon stole my egg for a human." Dallas said, looking forward, but sometimes looking back at the camera. Dallas continued after the Turtwig that belonged to someone, hoping to find out why the person had stolen his egg.
"There's my bag!" Dallas yelled, spotting his bag after a few minutes.
Dallas got to his bag and quickly checked the egg, "Oh thank Arceus." Dallas said.
"Is the egg ok?" Jenna asked.
"Yeah, but all the berries I had in here are gone, but at least the egg is fine." Dallas said, showing the camera his egg.
"We have found the bag with the egg, but no- Oh wow... what happened here?" Jenna asked.
He turned to face Jenna, who was looking around in confusion, "What's wrong?" Dallas asked.
"Look around. It looks like a bag was destroyed here." Jenna said.
Dallas did just that and sure enough, there was shredded paper, berries and other stuff were scattered around the area, paper blowing in the wind. Dallas spotted a bag and walked over to it, Jenna following behind him. Dallas picked up the to study it. Something sharp had sliced the bag apart multiple times. He searched in the bag and found a name tag that read Megami. Dallas' eyes widened.
"What is it? Is something wrong?" Jenna asked, still recording.
"This stuff belongs to a friend. I haven't heard from her in a few days. I was wondering why she hadn't spoken to me." Dallas said, as he scanned the area.
"A friend? Where is she now? Is she ok?" jenna asked.
"I don't know. It looks like she was attacked by a pokemon, that Turtwig must have been her's." Dallas said, scanning the area.
"Look! There is a cave further down!" Jenna called, pointing to a cave not far from them.
Dallas looked to the area she was pointing and sure enough, a cave opening wasn't too far away, "Come on!" Dallas said, running toward the cave, Jenna following close behind.
"What was a report about recovering the egg, has now turned into a hunt for a missing girl that has been gone for a few days. I hope she is ok." Jenna said, as she continue dot film.
They both arrived at the cave. It was extremely dark. Dallas couldn't see more than 5 feet in, "I can't see." Dallas said.
"Here let me." Jenna said, taking a step forward. "Ponyta! I need your assistance, please help us see with your mane." Jenna said, releasing a horse pokemon. Its tail and mane blazing with fire.
"So you do have another pokemon." Dallas said.
"Yeah, this was the pokemon in the egg that my father gave me." Jenna said.
Dallas and Jenna walked next to Ponyta, into the cave, "As we walk in, we will continue filming for you all watching at home, but we will be silent as we walk through the cave." _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
They walked into the darkness and within 100 feet, the darkness enveloped everything as if a black hole was sucking all the outside light. Ponyta's flame was the only light they illuminated the cavern, but even that seemed dimmer than normal. The air was musty and thick with moister, making it difficult to breath. Dallas was sweating, wiping his hand off from time to time. The humidity and Ponyta's flame, causing it to feel far warmer than it actually was. There was no sound other than the foot falls of the party. The cave was long, but for the most part it seemed like there was one single tunnel. The tunnel felt as if it was covered in some sort of slime, making it slick, but still easy enough to walk on. Up ahead, lights started to blink in a rhythmic way. Dallas felt compelled to walk toward them, it was like is body now moved on its on rather than by choice.
"Wh...what is that?" Jenna asked as if hypnotized.
"I don't know..." Dallas admitted, something deep down told him to stop. Turn away and don't look back, but something else was stronger, it told him to keep moving forward.
After a few minutes, Dallas felt the hair stand up on the back of his neck. Even with how brave he normally was, he started to feel uncertain about the whole this. He realized, something was following him, but he was to afraid to look back. It was right behind him, he could feel the silent breath.
"It feels like we are being watched..." Jenna whispered. Dallas could tell she was scared. He was scared as well. The flashing lights were a warning, but they were some inviting.
"Yeah... we are being watched. We aren't alone." Dallas said, as he continued to walk toward the blinking lights.
'Mala.... marmarmarmar.' An eerie sound, almost like a laugh echoed.
Dallas turned quickly around, but not on his own accord.
"Is it laughing? I don't like this..." Jenna said.
Suddenly, he heard a swiping noise coming toward him, he was able to break the trance like state jumped to the side, running into Jenna who had, at some point, changed sides while there were walking and now was right beside him. He thought he was about to be swiped, but as he did, Edge appeared from the pokeball and it blocked whatever was aiming at Dallas with a clang that echoed through the cave.
'Mala....marmarmarmarmar..' The eerie laugh echoed again.
"Thanks Edge."
'Pawn...Pawniard niard.' The metal pokemon said.
Dallas turned to Jenna, who was still filming, he could see the light on her camera shaking. He was starting to breath hard from the humidity and fear. He turned back toward where he thought was the front, and the lights were gone.
"I am scared." Jenna whimpered.
"I am too, but we have to continue. Megami is in here, I know it." Dallas said.
Dallas felt her hand brush his, their hands closing around one another. Relief seemed to wash over him as their hands touched and Pawniard now out, made it even less scarier. Those lights had been leading them.
"Ok... People watching, this is what real fear fill like. I have never been so scared in my life. I don't know if I recorded the Lights or not, but there were a number of blinking lights far ahead... they seemed to control us. Dallas was just attacked, and he ran into me, the trance we were in had been broken." Jenna said, still filming the cave.
They both continued to walk, Ponyta and Pawniard leading the way. The metal pokemon's foot falls were a welcome sound. After about three more minutes, the cave opened up.
'Turtwig turt!' A turtwig called.
"Wh...who's there?" A familiar voice called.
"Megami!" Dallas cried, running across the floor.
"Dallas... You are here!" Megami cried.
"What happened? Are you hurt?" Jenna asked.
Ponyta's light illuminated Megami, for the most part, she looked fine with a few cuts and bruises that seemed to have already healed. Her clothing was soaked from sweat.
"No I am fine. I have tried to leave multiple times, but every time I try, something coils around me and throws me back down. Turtwig seemed to be able to get out of the cave at different points, but not always. He brought me food and I have been drinking water from a something that something has been bringing me." Megami explained.
"Why were you out here alone? If I hadn't come to the mountains and Turtwig stealing my bag, I would have never found you." Dallas said.
"I was looking for autumn ingredients. I wanted to come alone so that I could show myself I could do it, but I was attacked." Megami said, her voice shaken.
Dallas felt the same presence he had earlier. He looked over at Jenna who was holding her camera up, but she was terrified. Dallas slowly turned around, as he did, he jumped back, body shaking. Jenna screamed in fear. The Malamar had literally been a foot away from him. watching from the shadows.
"Malamar." Dallas whispered.
'Mala... marmarmarmar.' The pokemon chuckled.
Pawniard reacted on its own, using slash on the pokemon. The Malamar dodged easily and then jumped back away from the group. Three more pokemon, Inkay appeared.
'Naaaa!' Ponyta cried out in anger, jumping in front of Jenna.
'Pawn pawn!' Edge cried, putting its knife like hands up, taking a spot next to Ponyta.
A red light shot from his waist as Blaze released itself from its ball, taking a spot up next Pawniard opposite side. 'Vulpix!'
Dallas' fear disappeared, his look turning from one of fear to one of determination, "Jenna! They are only pokemon! Malamar was hypnotizing us from the moment we saw those lights. We can fight! 3 on 3!" Dallas yelled.
Jenna's fear seemed to disappear as well, "Right, as long as we are with our pokemon, there is nothing to fear!"
"I can help too." Megami tried to rise, but found herself unable to.
"No, your body is too weak right now. Even if you have been drinking water, your body continues to lose it in this cave. Let us handle it." Jenna said.
"Turtwig, keep Megami safe." Dallas added.
'Tur Turtwig.'

Corrina Mondragon & Ivrant Lehort | | | | | & | | | | | Ivrant walked out of the Pokemon Center packed with a few more essentials for the rest of the day. Potions, a few revives, some antidotes and other status healing items. He needed to be ready for anything while out there in the wild after all! He needed to train his Pokemon to get into tip top shape for the next battle after all. A bit of travel would do Ivrant good. Buster especially could use some training. He had to take Diantha's advice to heart after all. Buster was even out of his ball for once! Walking alongside Ivrant and quickly pacing around and running in his proximity. He didn't seem to at least be crashing into anybody so far at least. "Buster! Watch where you're running around! We don't want to get into any trouble with the others in town after all." Ivrant called out to the Marill. Channeling all of that energy was going to be difficult but if he could get Buster under control then he would be a powerful companion.
Prior to capturing herself a Pokémon Corrina needed to stock up on supplies as well. And thus to the town she went.
Meanwhile Piplup was always meters ahead, halting from time to time to check up on her trainer. Beldum wasn't present to control the penguin, who was bursting with energy. But upon her eyes landing on a Marill in the distance displaying just as much energy, the penguin suddenly changed trajectory. At first Corrina ignored it, confident she would return.
But she didn't. A few moments passed and her Piplup didn't return. "Are you kidding me?" With a grimace she scanned the vicinity, looking for her Piplup. Once found she cringed upon witnessing her Piplup approaching another trainer's critter.
Piiiiiiip! the penguin hollered out, dashing towards the Marill. Pipipipipip!
Buster as well saw the penguin charging straight towards him. The little marill saw it as a challenge and he sure as heck was going to accept it! Buster charged right towards the Piplup at full force with Aqua Jet and made impact with it. Ivrant quickly caught notice of the two. "Am I seeing things? Another hyper water type... what a small island we live on." Ivrant chuckled to himself. He rushed on over to see the site of impact between the two. After crashing into the Piplup Buster would flop right onto his back still keeping that big ol' grin of his.
"Geez Buster, not one to back down on something charging towards you huh? I'd hate to see you in the middle of traffic. You might crash through an entire line of cars back at the city huh?" Ivrant laughed as he playfully poked the Marill on the belly.
The Piplup gawked at the Marill, not having expected the sudden attack. Corrina snickered at the sight. "Serves you right for running off-" she had began to mumble, only to halt herself upon her Piplup hollering out a war cry. This, in turn, only irritated the trainer more. She had hoped the attack would have scared the penguin.
For a moment Piplup turned for a second to check up on Corrina, hoping she was watching the ordeal. Piiiiiiiiiiplup! the penguin proudly greeted herself, body slightly aching from the attack. It would take more than that to shoo her away, especially when Corrina was observing from afar.
Like the penguin planned, Corrina began to approach her, albeit not out of want, but out of a desire to reach the PokéMart without any more interruptions.
Before more could occur she summoned Piplup back into the ball. But, alas, the penguin easily released herself from the imprisonment, materializing before Marill and the male trainer.
The marill seemed to be raring for another round himself! Holding up its arms and bracing for another incoming attack. "Would say the two are getting along already huh?" Ivrant laughed. "Didn't think Buster here would find himself a rival so soon!" Ivrant chuckled a bit when the Piplup also broke out of the ball. "Huh, yours learned how to do that too huh? Amazing what a Pokemon can do with a bundle of energy in them huh?"
"Unfortunately she did," she replied with a tint of frustration, attempting several more times to return her to the pokéball, but to no avail. "Tch, if you want to call it that."
With joy the Piplup leaped on to the Marill before rolling off, more interested in a wild goose chase. This was mainly due to the aching body, refusing to allow the injuries from slowing her down, but limiting herself.
As the Pokémon interacted Corrina stood without uttering anything more, arms crossed as she stared at Piplup.
"Ah.. well maybe this will get them a bit tired out at the least. I've been trying to teach Buster here how to contain his energy a little more and not let it all out so recklessly. So far its been working but I definitely got a ways to go before I perfect it..." Ivrant also crossed his arms and watched the two Pokemon play around. "I'm Ivrant by the way."
"Corrina Mondragon." She watched them roll for a minute before continuing. "I need her energy to be utilized in battle. Not... this," she rapidly explained, an arm extended to point at their rolling shenanigans.
A sigh escaped her. One of exhaustion.
"Yeah... I kinda had the same mindset with Buster honestly." Ivrant began. Buster continued to roll along with the Piplup rather happily, being careful not to further injure her. "Though after class I thought of taking a more different approach and just appreciating that Buster had that much energy in the first place. I just need to give him some more discipline though but that's been easier said than done though." Ivrant sighed.
"Ugh, tell me about it," she agreed, recalling every moment Piplup had been a pain to her since they have arrived on the island. But like Ivrant, Corrina left the classroom with a slight difference in her mindset. Albeit not as accepting of the Pokémon as Ivrant was, Corrina had an inkling feeling that maybe, just maybe, her way wasn't always right. Yet she found it hard to accept she was wrong. After all, Beldum came out just fine.
"Good luck," she mumbled before beginning to make her way to the store. This time she didn't bother to summon Piplup back into her Pokéball, not wanting to bother with playing with the creature.
"Hm?" Thats was a short lived conversation. Still... he had an idea of how to make this benefit both. They had similar issues with their Pokemon... comparing both of their styles would be a good way to see where he was at with his training. "You said you wanted to utilize that energy in battle right? How about we have a go then?" Ivrant asked her.
This caught her attention, body turning to face the challenger. Her hands grabbed her hips, eyes studying the Marill. "Yes. I did." It was a tempting idea, not to mention that it might suck out her Piplup's energy if she did.
Why the heck not.
"It will teach her a lesson anyway," she replied, agreeing to the battle. "Piplup, get in position." And so the penguin gushed towards her trainer, halting a few feet in front. There was excitement scribbled all over her face opposed to Corrina's usual, calculating expression.
This definitely triggered something in her! Ivrant made the right call. "Heh, Buster could use the exercise to start relaxing a bit! Buster looked extremely happy as well as soon as he got off of the Piplup and Aqua jet right back to Ivrant's side. "Looks like she's pretty excited to do some damage too! Alright let's do this!" Ivrant didn't even stop to consider they were doing this right in the middle of town but these were small Pokemon! Couldn't cause that much damage... right?
There was a pause. And silence between the two.
"Okay, let's start this with Agility!" Corrina initiated. Piplup took off and vanished within that second. She reappeared beside Marill, only to vanish just as rapidly as she appeared, popping all around the opponent.
"Heh, starting off quick huh? Alright then Buster. We're dealing with a similar type here so I think we can go all out Buster!" The Marill immediately gave off a wide grin at the thought of fighting completely unrestrained. He immediately took that queue and held out its arms, beating on its belly with both of them hard and releasing a small wave of power from it as its attack power was suddenly maximized. "Heheh, and now for the combo! Aqua Jet!" Buster gave off a wide grin and immediately started to charge toward the Piplup that was speeding around in an attempt to catch it with a head on attack!
The attack grazed Piplup's side, catching her by surprise. It was enough to startle and make her stumble to the side, flippers flailing in order to try and regain balance. "Keep dodging!" Corrina insisted of her penguin, who was impressed by the speeding bullet. Not only was that close, but Piplup knew she wasn't quick enough to dodge it a second time. Pip pip! she attempted to explain her concerns to Corrina, who was unable to understand.
Seeing as how there was no response from the trainer, Piplup continued with Agility, depending on the burst of speed.
Buster kept charging straight ahead once he missed his attack. "Buster! Turn around and follow up!" Ivrant called out. Buster took a sharp U turn with Aqua Jet, leaving some skid marks on the ground below and a trail of water splashing right over it. "Maarrillll~!" Buster smiled as he charged forward once more toward the Piplup! She started this challenge after all! Buster never looked happier!
It all occurred too fast for Piplup, who, by the time Buster's hit landed on the penguin, had just processed the U-turn they had made.
The attack sent her flying into the pavement, skidding and rolling to a stop. Corrina let out a sigh, mentally adding speed to the list of training focuses she needs to dwell on. "You weren't fast enough! Now, stand up!" To Corrina's surprise Piplup struggled to do as she was told, indicating that the opponent could easily obliterate them with another attack.
She could attempt to keep her distance, perhaps? "Ice Beam, go!" As soon as Piplup was on her two webbed feet a snowy blue sphere had formed in her beak, released towards the Marill.
Buster's advance quickly took a stop as the Ice Beam blast him head on. He was more the type of Pokemon to tank hits rather then outright avoid them. He was going to charge forward until his opponent was down! Belly Drum takes a huge cut of his health though so ironicly this can very easily backfire. Ivrant was a bit worried... maybe this was too much? Should he hold back a little bit? No... that would be incredibly disrespectful to the opponent. "Careful Buster! Don't over exhaust yourself with that power boost!" Ivrant called out. The Marill seemed to still have that energy but Belly Drum did indeed show some wear on Buster. Still, he wasn't about to stop charging now! He looked happier than ever when in a battle!
This took Piplup by surprise, albeit it impressed Corrina, who watched as the Marill forced itself through the beam, determination palpable. "Halt and use Protect! Now!" Piplup did as she was told, encasing herself in an emerald shield the second she stopped the Ice Beam onslaught.
Buster continued to charge forward and rammed straight into the protective forcefield with Aqua Jet, completely negating the powerful force of Buster's assault and causing him to be pushed right back and start rolling the other way from the shockwave of the impact. Once Buster got back up onto his feet he hopped up and down in joy ready for the next round with his new friend! "Marill Marill!" It cheered happily toward the Piplup. That powerful aura from Belly Drum didn't show any signs of stopping.
"Battle isn't over yet Buster! We're not in a position to stall right now. Let's wrap this up before you run out of energy. Once more! Charge forward!" Ivrant pointed out confidently. Buster once more released a sharp stream of water from behind it and charged straight ahead toward the Piplup with that wide smile slapped on its face.
The outburst of joy and desire for more gave Piplup a sense of wonder herself, never having stumbled upon such a Pokémon before. It made her see the battle as less of a brawl and more of training.
Protect might not work again, Corrina mentally reminded herself, scrambling for a move that may counterattack or help Piplup evade. "Stop and use Aerial Ace! Utilize your full strength!"
The shield was broken in fear of it failing, allowing Piplup to begin a dash towards the Marill. White streaks formed around the penguin, speed increasing with every step.
Buster charged head on into the incoming Aerial Ace, taking the blunt of the blow and struggling a bit to keep full speed, but nonetheless, continued to make his impact with Aqua Jet. The previous attack at the least helped Buster hold back just enough to not send the Piplup flying from the boosted physical strike. "Mariill!" He exclaimed happily.
The penguin was no match for the more experienced opponent, whose Aqua Jet not only cancelled out Aerial Ace, but it kept pummeling the penguin with a vengeance.
Upon finishing, only the Marill was left standing. Piplup had long fainted, limpless body laying on the damaged pavement. As predicted, one more attack was all that was needed to obliterate them, and Piplup didn't have enough power, nor defense, to withstand it.
A sigh escaped Corrina's lips, one hand retrieving the pokéball while the other fixed her glasses. "So that's it," she mumbled, disappointed in the display and duration of her Piplup.
She returned Piplup to her pokéball. There was no struggle this time. "Congratulations," she then spoke to Ivrant before stashing the pokéball in her bag. Nothing more was said as she dusted her clothes from dust and debris.
Buster seemed a bit sad that the Piplup had to go after the blunt of that attack. He had such a fun time battling and really hoped she did as well! For once he looked totally exhausted from all the running!
"Never seen Buster get tired like that. He must have been really excited. Alright buddy rest up. You'll have all of that energy back soon enough." Ivrant said as he returned him back to his ball. "Thanks for the battle Corrina. It was nice to give Buster some good competition like that. I could definitely see Piplup adapting too." Ivrant smiled. "We should do this again. I think these two could make really good training partners if you'd like."
"Save your compliments, Piplup was a disaster." Corrina walked past Ivrant and towards the Pokémon Center with a worn out expression. Without turning around she replied to his last offer, not as enthused about the idea. "If destiny bumps us together then training partners it is." Although she never had anybody other than her brother help her train, the thought of being helped by another made her stomach churn. She felt embarrassed at the prospect.
I need no help.
"I-" Ivrant cut himself short as the girl just walked away from his offer. Buster would be disappointed at possibly not bumping into her again... though she didn't exactly say no to it either! If they did bump into eachother again then they would be training! Ivrant would just have to hope the two would cross paths once more. For Buster's sake anyways. At the least, it was giving Ivrant a more clear diretion where to take his training with Buster towards.

Dallas Yukira: Mountains and Cave
Part 2: A Bit of Dungeon Craw
Dallas ordered Edge to use fury cutter and Blaze to use energy ball. The Inkay that Edge had attacked, dodged the attack by gloating of to the side, while energy ball hit home, knocking Blaze's Inkay into the ground. He could hear Jenna fighting with Ponyta, but he was too concentrated to pay much attention to her battle.
The Inkay fighting Blaze used peck on Blaze, unable to dodge, Inkay hit home with its glowing beak, causing Blaze to skid back a few feet. The one that had dodged Pawniard, used tackle, but Pawniard was quicker and as commanded, used fury cutter on the dark, psychic, squid pokemon. The fury cutter hit and the Inkay cried out in pain. The second Inkay looked over at its ally in concern. Dallas took advantage of the hesitation, commanding Blaze to use ember. Blaze did just that, inhaling, letting loose a ember attack, striking the Inkay it was fighting.
The battle dragged on, all six pokemon were getting tired. They were using move after move on each other. The humidity inside the cave was taking a toll on everyone, even the fire types. It became increasingly hard for Dallas and Jenna to breathe as they gave command after command without stopping. Dallas was starting to feel light headed and he knew he needed to end the battle quickly.
"Pawniard, use fury cutter one more time! Vulpix, heat wave!" Dallas cried.
Both pokemon used their ordered attack, both landing, but it was obvious that their power had become weak,. However the Inkay were also weak and were knocked out by the attacks. Dallas fell on his bottom, hitting the cave floor rather hard, worn out from the battle. As he tried to catch his breath, he glanced over at Jenna's battle. She was still standing strong, but Dallas could tell the humidity was getting to her as well. He watched as Ponyta used one last ember attack which finally knocked out the last Inkay. Once the battle was over, Jenna also fell to the ground.
Breathing hard, "I'm not sure how you managed to stay in here for three days." Jenna said.
"Yeah seriously." Dallas added, also breathing hard.
"I didn't try to battle. I just let it be. My mother would have been so disappointed." Megami said, as she tried her best to move toward the other to, but being in the cave for three days was also wearing on her.
"Surviving in this cave for a day is good enough." Dallas replied, he was to lay on the ground and fall asleep, but he knew they weren't out of this yet.
'Malamar.' The Malamar said, far more annoyed now than when it was chuckling.
Dallas and Jenna commanded there pokemon to attack.
"Edge! Use scratch!" "Blaze! Use Ember!" "Ponyta! Use Flame Wheel!"
But it was useless, all three pokemon were weak and Malamar was far stronger. Malamar spun like a top, avoiding all three attacks and then unleashed an attack full of darkness. With a blink of an eye, Malamar's attacked and knocked all three pokemon out easily in a single attack. All three pokemon dropped like rocks. Turtwig reacted on it own, attempting a tackle, but it was simply slapped by Malamar's tentacles, sending the poor Turtwig flying.
Dallas, Megami, and Jenna struggled for their pokeballs, but were able to return all of their pokemon to their pokeballs. They all looked at the Malamar as best as the could in darkness, waiting for it to attack as it got close and close every second.
"That was Payback. He just used it on all four pokemon." Jenna said.
'Malamar!' Malamar cried in annoyance.
Dallas watched as Malamar's tentacles shot out toward Jenna and Megami. Both girls screamed, but with his remaining power, Dallas bashed into Malamar with his shoulders, both human and Pokemon went tumbling away from the two girls. Dallas slid for a few feet before he came to a stop.
"What are you doing!?" Both Jenna and Megami cried.
Dallas was face first on the ground, his strength leaving him. The Malamar was already standing. Sweat felt like it poured of his brow. His hair was soaked by sweat and humidity. His clothing was covered in cave slime and sweat, but he didn't give up. He tried to stand, but he just fell down in the slime again, "Well, I guess it's true, never go in the wild without a pokemon..." Dallas said.
"Now isn't the time for jokes!" Megami yelled.
'Malamar!' The Malamar seemed to roar in anger.
Dallas felt one of its tentacles grab his leg and he was being held upside down. The Malamar powered up an attack, the light gathering so that Dallas and Malamar could be seen.
"Do your worst, Malamar." Dallas spat.
The Malamar finished charging his attack.
"No!" Jenna and Megami screamed together.
A split second before the Hyper Beam was unleashed, the tentacle released his leg and he fell to the ground, the hyper beam narrowly missed his foot and shattered the cave wall behind him. A massive blast of air shot through the opening, seeking an escape route similar to when you open a door and air rushed out from inside. The temperature dropped and the humidity almost vanished without a trace. Dallas could feel the air rushing by as he laid on the cave floor. It was still hot, but it was now far more bearable.
"Wow, the air is so much clearer now. It is easier to breath." Jenna said.
"What happened?" Megami asked.
Dallas watched the Malamar turn around, but as soon as it did, it was sent flying over Dallas, into the now unblocked part of the cave. Dallas looked back to where they had come and he saw a male and female Pyroar as well at three Litleo, standing in the path in which they had come. One Litleo seemed to be leading the two Pyroar and the other Litleo. The leading Litleo was standing beside the male Pyroar, both in which were close than the other newcomers. Dallas turned to look at the Malamar, Jenna already filming what she saw. The unblocked path lead to a larger cavern, illuminated by cracks in the cave where light was pouring in. A medium sized spring was at the center of the caver, steam rising from the water.
'Malam-!' The Malamar cried, but was cut off by a warning roar from the male Pyroar.
The Malamar almost seemed like it shrank in size. It turned away and quickly retreated into one of the caves on the other side of the cavern. The Pyroar turned to the slightly recovered Inkay, they straightened up their backs and followed as quickly as they could.
Dallas struggled to sit up to look at Pyroar, "Thank you. You saved me and my friends."
Pyroar nodded, looking down at the two Litleo that were now beside it as well as the female Pyroar. Dallas held out its hand, the Litleo looked up at its parents and the mother nudged it forward with her nose, causing its bottom to go up in the air, but quickly back down. The Litleo nudged by its mother, walked over to Dallas's hand and rubbed up against it. Dallas felt the soft fur of the pokemon. It was a slightly damp and sticky, Dallas brought his hand back and smelled it.
"Berries?" Dallas asked.
'Pyroar.' The male Pyroar nodded.
"So that is where my berries went. Turtwig stole my bag, not to try to get me to follow, but to give your two Litleo berries to heal them. Turtwig was trying to get aid from you?" Dallas asked.
Pyroar nodded.
"Oh Turtwig." Megami said, hugging the pokeball that her Turtwig was in. _________________________________________________________________________________________
They rested near the spring for a few while so that they could rest. Dallas and jenna shared most of their water with Megami, who needed it more than they did. After a while, all three could stand and walk. Even Megami had recovered a bit after the air in the cavern became cooler and easier to breath.
"How did this spring get here?" Megami asked.
"My guess is that when the tides come in from the ocean in the swamp, the water level rises, giving birth to a stream that runs down into the cavern from somewhere, eventually making a spring.
The rocks and mountain probably work like a filter system, so the spring becomes freshwater. The warmth of the water is probably from the volcano on this mountain. I am not sure if it is safe to drink without being purified further. I don't smell any poison, so it would be good for soaking in." Dallas said.
"At least we know why it was so humid and muggy in here. With out a way for the heat to escape, it just caused the cave to heat up." Jenna said, standing up. Dallas and Megami getting to their feet as well.
Jenna took a step forward, "Pyroar, can you lead us out of this cave? We need to get back to the academy."
Pyroar motioned its head as if saying to follow. They followed the Pyroar for a while, but this time, they could see more, not just because of the Pyroars's manes, but because light now filtered from the spring area. It was still dark, but not like it was. The walk wasn't scary this time as the three followed the Pyroar. After a bit more walking, they finally go to the exit of the cave. The cool wind whirled by them, causing them all to shiver after being in that cave for as long as they were. It didn't help matters much that they were all soaked in sweat, but they were so happy nonetheless. They all took in fresh air, but Megami took in more than the others. Megami found her bag and was a bit disappointed that most of her paper was torn, her bag in ruins.
"I am glad I am finally out of that cave, but now I have to contact my mom and teachers to explain what happened..." Megami said.
"Yeah. Let's not do that again anytime soon." Dallas said.
Jenna walked in front of them, turning toward them to film both, "And so, we found Megami and fought an evil Malamar, making friends along the way." Jenna said, panning the camera over to Pyroar and Litleo who were now walking away.
"Bye Pyroar! Litleo! Thanks again for the help!" Megami called.
"Until next time, seeya." Jenna said, "And cut!"
"You were filming that entire thing?" Dallas asked.
"Yep, It will make a good study guide for me in the future." Jenna smiled.
"I see being trapped by a murderous Malamar hasn't dampened your spirit." Dallas poked.
"I guess, but things could have been a lot worse." Jenna said.
They started to walk back toward the spot Dallas and Jenna had their battle.
"Who are you anyway?" Megami asked.
"A friend." Dallas said.
"You replaced me after a few days?" Megami accused.
"No, I just met her this morning." Dallas explained.
"Speaking of which." Jenna walked over to Dallas and slapped him in the back of the head.
"Ow! What was that for!?" Dallas cried.
"For being reckless!" Jenna said, "You still owe me a dinner! You could have died to that hyper beam! You aren't gonna die until you cook."
"Dinner? Can I help?" Megami asked.
"Oh your a cook too?" Jenna asked.
"Yep... But I don't know if I am as good as Dallas." Megami answered.
"I'm sure you are better than you think. But yeah, you can help Dallas for being so reckless as well. The deal remains, if I don't like it, you both drop to Entie." Jenna smirked.
"What kind of deal did you make with her?" Megami asked.
"Uh..." Dallas was lost for words.
"We battled, if he lost, he had to make me a full meal. If he won, he got my number." Jenna smiled.
"Number...? And he lost?" Megami asked.
"She gave me her number anyway." Dallas admitted, rubbing the back of his neck.
"You wanted her number...?" Megami pouted.
"No! Not like that! It was her idea! Not mine!" Dallas tried to explain.
"Your blushing says otherwise." Jenna winked, "In fact, he forced me to battle him." Jenna lied.
"I wasn't blushing and you are the one who wanted to battle!" Dallas said.
"What... How could you? Why would you force a battle on someone?" Megami asked.
"No! Don't listen to her! She's a journalist she lies!" Dallas exclaimed.
"How rude... I'll have you know I haven't lied a single time in my life." Jenna pouted.
"Ugh... what have I gotten myself into..." Dallas said, placing a hand on his head. This caused both Megami and Jenna to start laughing, which then lead to Dallas laughing as well.
They continued to walk down and away from the mountains after a very quick break at Dallas' and Jenna's previous spot. They were unaware that, from one of the cliffs, a Litleo watched them closely. Not in aggression, but Litleo looked down upon the three friends in admiration, wind blowing its tuft in the air. ______________________________________________________________________________________________
They finally arrived back at the dorms. They were scolded by Nurse Joy, but she softened up once they explained what had happened. They got their pokemon checked on and healed, Dallas also getting his egg checked on.
"If not for the Litleo and Pyroar, we would probably still be in that cave." Dallas said.
"You must have done something to impress the Litleo and Pyroar. They don't normally do something like that." Nurse Joy explained.
"I don't know what I did." Dallas said.
"You tackled Malamar to protect us. I think that is praise enough. Not to mention Turtwig stole your berries as a trade." Megami said.
"Your pokemon are all good to go. Dallas' watch your egg, it could be hatching soon. Now you three go change or you're all going to be sick and try your best not to skip class again or get into something dangerous..." Nurse Joy said, returning their pokemon.
They all agreed and walked away once they retrieved their pokemon. Dallas could feel eyes on him. Probably due to the fact he was with two females, one being an Entie. They probably also wondered why we were covered in sweat. He just ignored them and they left the center.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Jenna stretched, "I think I am going to head back to my room. I want to take a long soak and edit the footage we got today. It was nice to meet you Dallas. I will let you know about that dinner. And you let me know when you go on an adventure like that again." Jenna said, backing away, then turning to head to her dorm.
"Alright. See ya Jenna." Dallas said.
Megami and Dallas didn't say too much on the way to their room. Dallas was thinking about today and he could sense that Megami was deep in thought. The walked up stairs and headed to their rooms.
"I am going to go clean up and go to sleep. It has been too long without my bed. Can't wait to get out of these clothes too. I feel like I have sat in the trash for multiple days." Megami said.
"Alright. I am going to change. I'll check on you later ok." Dallas said, opening his door.
Megami grabbed his hand causing Dallas to stop and look back at her. Her head was down, both her hands on his. A teardrop well and splashed against his hand.
"Hey what's wrong?" Dallas asked, turning back toward her.
She looked up her eyes watering, "Thank you. Thank you for helping me on the first day and today. If not for you, I don't know how long I would have been in that cave... That Malamar... I couldn't leave. I couldn't battle. I never want to see another Malamar ever again."
Dallas smiled and placed his free hand on her head, "You don't have to thank me. In the end, I couldn't do anything either. It was because of your Turtwig and those Litleo and Pyroar. Not me. Now go on. Get cleaned up, you are starting to smell." Dallas joked, making Megami muffle a laugh with her hands.
"K." She said, opening the door to her own room.
"Oh Megami." Dallas called after her, causing Megami to exit her room again.
"Yes?" She asked.
"Think about getting some sort of communication device. If you do, you can give me and Jenna a number. If you get into trouble, you can contact us." Dallas said.
"I will. Thanks again Dallas." She entered her room and Dallas heard her yawn and then the door closed.
Dallas walked into his room, closing the door, his mood went from happy to anger in a matter of seconds. Not angry at anyone except for himself. He punched his bed. before he took a seat on his bed. He looked down at the floor and covered his face with his hands.
"In the end, I wasn't able to do anything. I lost every battle I was in. My egg was stolen right out from under me. I couldn't even save myself from Malamar." Dallas recapped.
His father's words floated his head, "If your parents catered you, how would you ever learn or grow."
He stood up and held a fist up in the sky, "I guess I just need to work harder... train harder... I can't let myself get down over this. The past is over and now it is time to look to the future. It is all part of growing up. I will become a better trainer and chef than my dad ever was."
He entered his bathroom, taking off his clothing. He turned the water on and let it drip down his face. As he stood there, something still bothered him about the Malamar, "Was that really a wild Malamar? The other day... I felt as if someone was watching me. I thought it was those guys who attacked me, but how would they have known about the berries they used that night? Is someone targeting me specifically? Possibly someone who knows my father? Has a grudge against him..... but how would they know about me? Why would the Malamar hold her for three days and give her water?"
He continued to let water flow down, cleaning the sweat and dirt away from the battle with Malamar.

Ivrant Lehort- Let's Prepare!
Ivrant ended up taking five and relaxing in the Pokemon Center once he got his team properly healed up once more. Buster especially. It was nice to have him get such a rush. Ivrant let the little guy out of his ball as he seemed to get right back to his usual energetic self. "Easy Buster. An intense battle like that and already eager to get into the next one right? I think I remember a movie I saw calling that the spirit of a warrior or something like that? I guess maybe more of a beserker with how much risk you put into your attacks. You just rush right on in..." Ivrant commented to the Marill, who quickly turned around and hopped up onto the table to get a better look at Ivrant. He still had that big smile across his face. "Heheh, but your way too adorable to just be called something as rugged as a beserker right? I'm glad I called you Buster! I can't think of any other name that would fit you better!" Ivrant laughed as he poked the blue ball in the belly. "Keep that up Buster! Keep your energy in check and you'll have more chances to show this school what your made of! Especially that Sydney girl..." Ivrant clutched his fist.
"We can't just use Belly Drum recklessly... you could be taken out immediately if you get stunned before unleashing an attack... but we're going to have to rely on the rest of the team for that for sure. Your fighting style is definitely more of a head on approach. And I don't think you want to change what your best at right Buster?" Ivrant said to him. The Marill hopped up and down in agreement! The little guy definitely was more of a fight first ask questions later sort. "Still... I can't just ignore what miss Diantha said. Your great at head on attacks but we need to work on your weaknesses. You lost alot of stamina whenever you go for max power. We need a way to work around that or you won't be able to use all of that energy at all in battle. That wouldn't be very fun for you... so we need to find some way to fix that. Maybe some kind of item... like a berry! Yeah!" Ivrant perked up. That's right! Using a berry would easily heal any harm done by belly drum... but where the heck was Ivrant going to find a good supply of those? He blew alot of money just buying that hidden power TM so he couldn't really go buying a berry incubator. Maybe there were berry bushes growing out in the wild? He needed something along the lines of a Sirtus Berry or an Oran Berry... preferably the latter.
"Comon Buster, lets try asking around town. Maybe there's a place around the island we can get a supply of berries on hand. It'd help out with any annoying status effects as well. We need to start preparing for less direct fights and think outside the box. Time to do some investigating!" Ivrant exclaimed as he hopped out from his seat and made his way out the Pokemon Center! He was going to be prepared this time! He wasn't going to let his win streak be crushed again!

Sydney vs Cyan!"Oh yeah, they came back fine!" Sydney smiled. "And hey, you have nothing to be sorry for, you tried your best in a really strange situation, right? It's good to meet you properly Cyan, I'm Sydney. Let''s start over with that battle, okay? I think there's one of the marked out battlefields over here somewhere..." Sydney set off, leading the way to one of the battlefields. The one in question was one of the more basic examples, a cleared area in the grass with chalk outlines to show the boundries. Sydney took up her place in the Trainers box at one end.
"So, did you have something in mind? How many Pokemon did you want to battle with?"
"Well, I guess my whole team wants to battle, so a 3 versus 3, if you have at least 3 as well." Cyan was actually pumped up at this point. Considering he was going into his super embarrassed state earlier, this was quite impressing. He began considering his options as for who he should lead with. The only Pokemon he remembered Sydney had was a psychic type, the one that messed with her mind. All of his Pokemon should be able to deal with it, so he choose the least obvious choice.
"I'm going to lead with Tesla, my Joltik." Tesla detaches from Cyan's sleeve and rushes to the field. He is insanely small, so you could lose track of him if you didn't pay attention. "So, Sydney, who are you going to send out first?".
"Oh, an Unovan Bug Type, huh? Unfortunately for you I'm from that region, so I know a thing or two about Joltik. Alright Miko, you're up!" She called out, pulling a standard Pokeball from her bag and releasing her Pachirisu onto the field.
"A Pika... wait, a Pachirisu? If you are from Unova, would't it be an Emolga? Well, nevermind that. Let's get this started! Tesla, use Camouflage!" The little bug began to look around, analysing how the terrain looked like and felt. Then, he began to quickly change colors to match it's surroundings, and small spots that resembled pebbles appeared on it's back. Tesla is now a Ground type!
Sydney was a little shocked to hear Cyan call out Camouflage, that wasn't a very common move. Especially not for Trainers so early in their career! If this was how he was starting things off this might turn out to be more of worthwhile challenge than her last battle... but that wasn't to say the same strategy couldn't work.
"Miko, you know what to do!" Sydney called out, her Pachirisu smirking mischeviously as she hid her face behind her bushy tail. She whipped it away, revealing that she was blowing a kiss to Tesla, sending a massive cartoon heart flying towards the Joltik. There was no need for Sydney to call out that the move was named Attract, this was the standard strategy she and Miko used, but the move was so easily identifiable that not naming the move probably wouldn't give them any real advantage. Now she just had to hope that this 'Tesla' was a boy, otherwise Attract would be completely useless!
Well, Tesla was indeed a boy! So unfortunaly for him (or fortunaly?) he fell in love with Miko. It didn't take long for Cyan to realise what happened, and intantly become worried. "Come on, Tesla! Knock it off! She is probably not even into you!" Tesla gave a quick glace into Cyan's direction, meaning he was paiyng attention. That was his chance! "Tesla, Use String Shot on Miko, PLEASE!"
Tesla, a bit reluctant, takes aim at Miko and... fires off multiple webs from its mouth! He did it!
Miko squeaked in shock then let out a grumpy growl at being covered in the sticky webbing, she took great pride in her appearance and the condition of her fur. Sydney winced, understanding just how much grooming Miko was going to need after this match. Slowing her down with a move like String Shot was pretty sensible though, her speed was one of Miko's most valuable attributes. Well, there was still a way to make use of it!
"Hang in there Miko, Quick Attack!" She called out. Miko glared at Tesla and set off, sprinting towards him at almost incredible speed, the webbing she was covered in causing her paws to stick to the ground a little as she ran, slowing her down. With the acceleration that Quick Attack naturally gave though she was still very fast, hurtling towards Tesla with every intention of slamming into the Bug Pokemon.
And it did. That hit had in fact done a lot more damage than it should've done. Definitely a critical hit. Tesla however looked like it could still take a few hits and not turn into a squashed bug.
"OK, Tesla, get some of that health back with Absorb!" Tesla ran towards Miko, got very close to her and... and he just stood there, looking like an idiot. At least he looked sort of cute. At the same time, Cyan was just looking at Tesla waiting for him to do something, even though the infatuation had taken effect now.
Sydney did a small leap and punched the air as the Quick Attack landed, cheering Miko on. "That's my girl, amazing!" She cried out. Things just got better and better as Tesla decided to spend some time just staring at Miko lovingly. Attract hadn't failed them in a battle yet! Sure, that was only two battles, but who was counting?
"Now's your chance Miko, swat that bug with Iron Tail!"
Miko leered at Tesla with an evil grin, her tail shining as it became coated in a silver metal. She spun and swatted at Tesla with it, swinging it like a heavy club. She had every intention of making sure this Joltik thought twice before messing up her perfect fur ever again!
If Tesla had used Absorb, he would just be able to tank this hit. Well, needless to say, the bug was indeed swatted.
"Tesla! Are you OK?" No answers came, so Cyan quickly pulled out a Pokeball and returned him. This battle was way harder than he thought, he really wasn't ready to battle Viola if he couldn't beat another trainer in his level.
"OK, Lara, you are up!"
The little bug that was resting next to Cyan's feet quickly got up and made it's way to the battle.
"Let's warm up, use Sunny Day!"
The horns on the side of the bug started glowing red, and not long after you could feel the day getting hotter, and if you looked up, you would see not a single cloud anywhere nearby.
"Great work Miko, come back for now!" Sydney recalled Miko to her Pokeball once Cyan sent out his next Pokemon - his Larvesta! It wasn't a very common Pokemon, especially for a beginning Trainer. She didn't have any Pokemon that were strong against Fire types... but she did have one that was weak to them!
"Titania, time to shine!"
Sydney didn't use a Pokeball this time, instead a tiny Cutiefly buzzed out of where it had been nestled inside her hair and swooped onto the battlefield. It had been in there since the start of class, waiting for an opportunity to devestate the world with her overwhelming might! "Titania, open up with Powder, let's see how effective it is!"
Cyan choosing to use Sunny Day gave them the opportunity to try this move out, it was one she had only ever heard of being used in the Kalos region and even then it was incredibly rare. Cutiefly let out a high pitched squeak as it flew over Lara's head, spinning in circles and shaking her fuzzy body, a mysterious black powder raining down onto Lara and... seeming to do nothing...
"Lara, whatever you do, don't spew fire." Cyan knew exactly what that was, and he was not going to fall for it. He saw Gym leaders use that move before, and it was 100% a bait.
The problem was, most of Lara's moves were fire ones. He could use a not very effective move until the battle ended, or strategise. It was obvious that the cutiefly was faster than Lara, so what about slowing it down?
"OK, Lara, this might seem weird to you but use String Shot, not Ember, alright?"
This was indeed weird for the bug, as it was ready to blast Titania into ashes. After a short pause and a "wtf" look, she blasted white shots of string from her mouth, aiming at the bug.
This was a problem for Sydney, Cyan clearly understood the dangers that Powder presented... she had only sent Titania out against the Larvesta because of Powder, if they couldn't count on that then they were in serious trouble here. Well, if they were going to make life difficult with String Shot again then two could play at that game... or at least a variation of it. "Titania we have to do what we can for Faustus now, cover the field in Sticky Web!"
The Cutiefly got absolutely covered in String Shot, her small size meant that it didn't take a lot to really slow her down - even just the weight of it was a serious issue for her. She bumbled through the air with much less grace than before, vomitting up globs of her own adhesive and spraying it all over the ground. There was no chance they could win this one with Cyan knowing not to take the Powder bait but they could at least slow down whatever Pokemon Cyan used next, assuming Faustus was able to take out Lara.
The Sticky Web sure would be annoying if Lara were to go down. At least, his plan worked! Now free from the effects of Powder, Lara could use her fire moves once more.
"Lara, remember what I told you? Forget about, and turn that bug to toast!"
Now this was a language that Lara could understand. She began heating up the air around, to the point where flames started to appear. And after a short delay, she sent a huge Heat Wave headed towards Titania, boosted by the sun.
Sydney winced as Titania was immediately toasted by the Heat Wave, dropping to the ground almost the instant the move made contact with her. The poor thing had never stood a chance and it was Sydneys fault, relying on Powder had just been too risky. She pulled a Pokeball from her bag and called Titania back to it. "Good effort girl. I'll make it up to you later. Well Cyan, I guess it's time you met the Pokemon behind our encounter, huh? Come on out Faustus!" She threw another Pokeball and released her Elgyem onto the field. "Open up with Nasty Plot!"
The Elgyem floated above the battlefield and regarded Lara dispassionately, the gems on the ends of his stubby ams starting to flash in an eldritch pattern as calculations were made on the best way to eliminate her.
"Oh, so it was an Elgyem..." Cyan was muttering to himself until he realised the threat that Elgyem was after that Nasty Plot. He began thinking about what he could do, but quckqui began to realise that really he couldn't do anything. Another String Shot would be a waste of a turn, so he went with the plan of 'going down with a bang'.
"Lara, use Heat Wave on the Elgyem as well, quickly!"
'Say no more' would be what Lara said if she could speak. She began reheating the air around and send it in the Elgyem's direction.
Elgyem naturally had to have taken damage from that Heat Wave but the species didn't exactly have an expressive face so it was hard to tell just how much of it the Pokemon felt. The attack washed over them and they just continued floating there as though nothing had happened. Sydney unknowingly chewed her bottom lip - this was just as much of a problem for her as it was for her opponents. She had no way of knowing when Faustus was close to their limit! For now all she could do was forge ahead and hope for the best.
"Faustus hit them with Confusion!"
The Elgyem reached out its stubby arms towards Lara, gems flashing rapidly, and made a swift upward motion with both arms before lowering them again sharply. If the attack landed then Lara would be surrounded with a blue aura of psychic energy and lifted into the air before being slammed unceremoniously back onto the battlefield, the move made all the more powerful by the earlier Nasty Plot.
Laura looked confused as she suddenly began to levitate. Did she start evolving? Did she finnaly reach the mythical level of power needed to evolve? She couldn't be any happier... And then got smacked into the floor.
Cyan could see that Lara took some serious damage from that Confusion, way more after the Nasty Plot. This was however, a opportunity to test their strategy fully.
"Lara, use Morning Sun!"
She looked at the sky. It was still very bright, with no clouds near because of Sunny Day. Lara then closed her eyes and proceed to curl in a comfortable position. Shining like an Illumise, she began to heal her wounds.
Then, Cyan began to worry about a miscalculation. With the sun, Morning Sun restored more health than normal, but maybe Confusion did more damage than he thought, and a second Confusion will finish her anyway. A critical hit might do it even if she is fully heathy, so maybe he should've just told her to use Heat Wave. Sydney and Faustus next move could dictate the rest of the match.
"Not bad Cyan!" Sydney called across the battlefield. It was nice to see another student actually using some level of strategy rather than just blasting ahead on all cylinders. "That's a nice combo! Just a shame it won't hellp! Faustus, Psybeam!"
Faustus only lifted one hand this time, the gems lodged there shining brightly in unison before firing a multicoloured beam of light straight for Lara. Psybeam was a more powerful Psychic move than Confusion and Sydney would have used it instead but, really, she hadn't thought the Larvesta would be able to stay standing after just the Confusion hit! Now that Cyan had shown they were able to recover damage she wasn't going to take any chances, not when he still had a Pokemon to send out that she knew nothing about.
She had a sneaking suspicion it was probably going to be another Bug Type but without knowing what other Type it had, if any, she couldn't do much to plan around it with the team she had. There was no telling how long Faustus would be able to carry on for... but there was still Miko if it came to that.
The long, purple beam, connected with Lara, blasting it to the other side of the field. It was a clean one hit KO.
Cyan was left speechless. He thought Sydney would obviously use their strongest move right away, but instead, used a weaker move first. This left him confused, as he never saw that being useful in any way.
"Lara, return. You did the best you could. Well, it seems it is your turn, Max!" After getting the Larvesta back in her Pokeball, he grabbed out another and threw it.
"PINNNSIR!" The huge bug landed hard, and with a war cry, got into battle position. Max finnaly had a chance to show off it's skills, and was going to take it.
"Ok, Max, finish the job Lara started with Quick Attack!"
And so, Max began charging at the Elgyem at maximum speed, with the sole intention to end it.
Cyan then noticed that the Sticky Web the Cutiefly set up earlier was taking it's toll on Pinsir, effectively slowing it down. Quick Attack though seemed to be unaffected.
Sydney took half a step backwards in shock. After a Joltik and Larvesta she had been expecting another small Pokemon but a Pinsir? That was a seriously tough Pokemon to wrangle and if Cyan had one on his team maybe she'd been underestimating him... neither Faustus or Miko had any hope of matching that monster in a physical confrontation no matter what they did. She just had to hope Faustus could handle this... she really didn't want to see Miko get tossed around by this beast.
Faustus hurtled through the air from the impact of the Quick Attack, spinning around until he was able to right himself in the air. There was no question of how much he had been effected this time, it was clear he was struggling by how unsteady he was. He wasn't floating serenly anymore but making a clear effort to stay airborne, losing altitude before quickly levitating back to his original position more than once.
"Hang in ther Faust, come on, just blow it away with another Psybeam!"
The Psychic Type struggled to lift its arm this time but still managed to fire off another blast of energy. It was pretty clear though that one more hit would take the Elgyem out of the battle and as much as she knew Nasty Plot had helped boost his power Sydney wasn't confident that they could take that Pinsir down in one hit.
"Max, dodge it! Please!" Cyan was now afraid. A single attack was able to finish off Lara, which was bulky on its own right. Pinsir had little chances of surviving that attack.
Max did attempt to dodge, but the web got in the way. She tripped, and Psybeam made contact. A explosion occurred and in the middle, you could see Max's shape.
She looked close to fainting, but could still hold on. Pinsir's weren't known for their bulk, but in this case, it was enough.
Cyan had to come up with a plan to finish off that Elgyem and have an upper hand in battle. He thought of using Focus Energy, but Max wouldn't be able to take another Psybeam. So, he had to limit himself to just finish him off.
"Max, just finish that Elgyem with Quick Attack!"
Max, began speeding up again, ignoring the webs that slowed her down. She seemed to be in high spirits for some reason. Cyan remembered their encounter, during the 'Sydney-lost-her-memory' episode. Maybe Max remembered her failed attack attempt?
Max hit Faustus like a battering ram and sent the much smaller Pokemon straight into the dirt, knocked out cold. Sydney quickly recalled him, her face set with concentration. How was she going to get out of this? That Pinsir didn't look like it had a lot of fight left in it but in terms of power she wasn't confident Miko could take it down with one more hit. They had the speed advantage, that was for sure, but if Cyan called out for another Quick Attack that wasn't going to be the case. That meant that Sydney would have to make sure Miko used Quick Attack herself to keep her edge... in that case the absolute best she felt she could hope for was, maybe, a double KO.
"Come back out Miko, let's finish this!" She released Miko again, the diminutive critter practically snarling. The String Shot from earlier had dried off so she wasn't hindered by it anymore but it had left her fur an absolute mess - something that didn't impress Miko in the slightest. Sydney took a deep breath before calling out her next move. "Miko... Attract!" Miko didn't bother making a show of it this time, rather grumpily blowing a kiss towards Max that turned into a cartoon heart along the way.
She hadn't heard Cyan refer to Pinsir as either male or female specifically and Max could go either way, but it was used for boys more often, right? She just had to hope that this worked and bought them the time they needed to finish this off comfortably. It was a gamble but there was no way she was going to accept a draw!
The cartoon heart hit Pinsir and... Nothing happened! Well, it is true that Pinsir has a more masculine look to it... But Max was a girl!
This seemed to actually make it mildly annoyed, if anything.
"Hmmm, Max use Quick Attack? No actually, that Pachirisu is too healthy... Use Close Combat!"
The Pinsir's eyes began glowing red before she charged at the Miko, ready to punch and kick it until it was down. However, she wasn't going very fast, so it was hard to predict exactly how that was going to go.
Miko got absolutely pummeled by Max and all Sydney could do was watch, flinching as each blow struck home. This was entirely her fault but she refused to let this play out the same way as last time that Miko was getting hurt in a battle. As much as she hated to watch it she couldn't play favourites with her Pokemon and throw in the towel just because Miko was the one taking an attack.
Once the onslaught finally ended Miko was completely unconscious and looking like even more of a mess than before! Sydney sighed and called the Pachirisu back to her Pokeball. Cyan had won, although she liked to think it was a pretty close battle. "Well done!" She said and smiled with as much cheer as she could muster. "I was on the backfoot from the start once I used Powder. I hadn't expected you to know that one, it's kind of a rare move. It might have gone differently if I had realised your Pinsir was a girl though," she sighed, "But thanks for the battle, that little combo you have with your Larvesta is better than what I've seen most people around here using."
Cyan was surprised it worked. After almost every move he choose, he thought of doing something else. Yet he managed to win. That was going to boost his confidence for a few days!
"Well, to be honest, the only reason I know about Powder is because I saw a Gym leader using it when I was younger. From the start, I thought the challenger was going to win, since they had a fire type. But then Powder came in and turned the tide of the battle. And that gym leader also gave me the egg from which Lara hatched, so I kinda really owe her... It was really a close match! Hmmm... And yeah, Max is a girl." Max was standing near Cyan, looking a bit sleepy.
"Huh, so you only knew because you happened to see a Gym Leader use it? Talk about lucky... well, I can't win them all I guess, but it was interesting to face a whole team of just one Type! Good practice for when I start taking on Gyms myself, right? We should have a rematch sometime but I won't take it easy on you! For now though," she sighed, "I have three Pokemon that aren't in the best of shape so I had better go get them sorted out. Have a nice day Cyan!" She waved as she turned away and headed off, trying not to let her frustration at losing show too much. She'd been on such a high after completely crushing Ivrant but this was just further proof that he was a pretty weak Trainer and no way for her to gauge her true strength. It was time for some serious training!

Arwyn Wilton -To The Icy plains
Phew! Just done with classes. Arwyn didn't really know what to do yet. It seems he hit a new low, that being sheer boredom. It's just a regular afternoon, but we gotta make this stand out somehow right? After some inside monologues and deliberating, Arwyn decided to head to the Icy Plains. However, he can't go dressed in the hoodie he had on now. He would probably freeze and not make it out alive. Or Arwyn might just be thinking of the worst. Either way, he needs to go to his dorm to get some warm clothes. Not many people were at the Entei dorms yet. He decided to just head to his room immediatly. Let's see, a sweater is important, and a warm hat is definitly neccesary. His Pokémon would probably be fine in the cold, right? Probably. Anyway, all clothed, it is time to head for the icy plains for some adventure!

Dallas Yukira - Oak Town
Dallas had gotten dressed and was now heading back outside. His time in the shower had honestly felt like days. At one point, he had become so relaxed, he had thought he had fallen asleep and was missing school again. He quickly got out of the shower, he was relieved it was the same day. He was sure he had fallen asleep though.
He walked through the halls and downstairs and then outside, back into the warm air, or at least it was warm to him. He noticed some people were dressing as if it were the dead of winter. While others had light jackets and pants on. There were some, like him, who were still wearing short sleeved shirts and shorts. This was mainly because he was currently living on an island where trainers from all over the world gathered. He had been from Snowbelle City in Kalos, so he was used to living in the cold year round.
He walked through the massive collection of trainers and pokemon around the dorms, heading to Oak Town. The incident in the cave had proven that he needed new moves for his pokemon, so he going to the TM Shop. He finally arrived at the path that would take him to Oak Town. For the most part, it was empty for most of the time, but every now and again he would pass one or two people speaking to one another or just walking back from Oak Town.
After a bit of a walk, he had made it to Oak Town. He found the TM Shop and entered. He was willing to spend the money he had saved. He knew he would be getting more soon from his mother for his birthday, so he wasn't too worried about spending most of it. Besides, he could always make some money on the side, especially with the holidays coming up, the time of the year when bakers made most of their money.
Originally, he was going to buy X-Scissor, but did he really need it? Edge was who he was getting the TM for because it didn't know any good attacks. He new Edge was part Dark and Steel, so psychic would have no effect on him. So his greatest weaknesses would be Fire and Fighting, but more so Fighting than Fire. He had been studying Edge's species on the internet and books, along with TMs that it could learn. So he was trying to choose between X-Scissor, Shadow Claw, and Poison Jab. To his surprise, all three of them were cheap compared to some of the other moves in the store. In the end, he still chose X-Scissor because it had more strengths than the other two. He picked up the disk and went to the counter.
"Not a bad choice kid. If you have the money, I'd suggest getting Hidden Power as well. It is powerful for the price. 10,000."
"Sure." Dallas said.
"Sure? Not at all worried about the amount of money?" The man asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Nope. I have a birthday coming up, and this TM was far cheaper than I thought it would be. Besides, holidays are coming up, and I am going to make more than enough money in my own way." Dallas smiled.
The man at the counter grinned and handed him TM10 and scanned the TM81. Dallas took it and paid him 20,000 for both and left the store, "Good luck with whatever you plan on making money with. Come back and buy a more expensive one next time!" The man laughed as Dallas left the store. _____________________________________________________________________
He walked over to a bench, taking a seat, bringing out his poke balls. Through the ages, TMs had taken on many forms, from being bracelets you place around the pokeball, cubes you put up against the pokeball, or even just floppy disk that you used on older computers, showing you a graph on how to teach it to the desired pokemon.
Now... it was a hologram like most things now a days in the pokemon world. He pressed a button in the middle of the square disk like thing and a hologram formed above the disk. It showed stat charts and other boxes, but all were blank. He placed Edge's ball on a small slot in the corner of the disk and as he did, the stats of the pokemon appeared, showing its typing. It also showed the moves Edge knew. A hologram message appeared and asked if he wanted to teach Edge the move X-Scissor with a yes or no option. Dallas pressed yes and in the move list for Edge, X-Scissor appeared. A message popped up saying it had been complete. Dallas removed Edge's ball from the slot where he had placed Edge's poke ball and the hologram closed. He the picked up the TM and slid it into his bag.
He did the same thing with Hidden Power, but this time for all of his pokemon. He realized that both Blaze and Freeze had learned new moves, but he replaced both with Hidden Power, not seeing how the other attacks could be used in battle or in a food battle.
"Alright, that takes care of that. Now let's head out to the open fields to see if we can find a pokemon to test these new attacks on." Dallas spoke to himself.

“At this rate I should just build a Cabin out here…” Rylie thought to herself sarcastically as she dropped her bag near the outskirts of the icy plains. The sun slowly began to set beneath the mountains, signaling that this must be a rather quick session lest she wants to risk being caught sneaking back into the dorm late at night. Carefully, she pulled the incubator out of her bag, figuring the egg might benefit from being out in the open for a while.
After finding a stable spot for the incubator she turned to the two Pokémon to her side who already seemed to be wondering off. “Hey you two! Get back here! I’ve got something for you both to watch!” Rylie shouted as she chased them both down, attempting to hold them in place with one arm while holding a small tablet in the other. “I need you both to watch this! Hold still!” she complained, eventually forcing both of them into her lap as she sat in the snow. “Gotcha both! Now pay attention you two!” She said, finally hitting the play button on the video.
It was a rather short segment of a battle being displayed on the screen of a Frostlass fighting against a Granbull on an icy battlefield. In an instant the Granbull’s fangs ignited as it charged forward, however as it approached the Frostlass seemed to disappear into the snowfall without a trace. As the Granbull began to hunt for it’s target it was hit by a sharp blast of snow and wind from behind, quickly leaving them buried and unable to fight. The clip ended shortly after.
“And that’s it.” Rylie announced putting her tablet away, finally letting free the Pokémon she held captive in her lap. “I know neither of you can use blizzard but maybe you can do that hiding thing. Kit could you whip us up some snow?” She asked, not being needed to ask twice she quickly conjured up a flurry of snow.
“Perfect! Alright, I’d like the two of you to play tag, lets see just how well you can hide from another!”

Day 3 (FF fanfare plays)
That... was a lot more than he expected. Not only did he get to go on a full on battle, but he also won it? If possible, he would buy a lottery ticket, because this was his lucky day. Max looked like it was relieved for finally having that battle that it craved for so long. Tesla and Lara, weren't so fortunate. Cyan seemed to have forgotten about the for a moment, but then rushed to the Pokemon center... in Oak town. He needs a map. After a long walk, run, then walk again, and a run, he arrived at the Pokemon Center. He gave his teams pokeballs to the nurse, and looked around while waiting. There was this large map in one of the walls, so he checked it and took some notes. Not long after, his team was already fully healed, and ready for action. Cyan opened Tesla's and Lara's pokeballs, letting them out like always. Tesla quickly attached to Cyan's clothes, while Lara was ready to follow him wherever he went. Cyan knew he needed one thing though: Items. He had almost none of them, and a few extra potions, maybe even a Revive, could go a long way. He went to the nearest store next to the Pokemon center, one with a blue roof. He started picking a few items, like 10 potions, a couple of pokeballs, 5 revives... and walked out with a single pokeball. Because he has absolutely no money. He quickly starts thinking of ways of making some money... but a method that didn't require him to go to work for a week to get tips.

Dallas Yukira: Open Fields.
Dallas looked down at his C-Gear and pressed an icon that looked like a map. A beam shot out from a small hole from the top of the C-Gear, casting a hologram up to chin level, the mountain of the hologram going to his nose or so.The hologram was of the island and it labeled each area of the island.
"Ok... so the Open Fields, I assume, are anything that isn't labeled as anything else. So the I need to probably go a bit south of the Dorms instead. It will put me closer to the dorms if anything goes wrong. So far, every time I leave the Dorms, something tends to go in the wrong direction that I desire." Dallas said to himself, closing the hologram and walking toward to exit.
Near the exit, looking down at the C-Gear, his shoulder rammed into someone else's shoulder.
"Sor-" He looked up, but the person he had ran into was already walking away. He looked back at the person, it was a boy about his age, a girl at his side. They were both glaring back at him. Dallas stopped, turning to face the two. Now looking at both of them, he was certain they were brother and sister. Both of them had burgundy hair and green eyes. They boy had short hair, trimmed to the point where Dallas thought it was too perfect. The girl wore her hair in a ponytail that went down to the center of her back. The girl was also about his age. Dallas knew that they had to be twins. After a few moments, they finally turned their heads away from him, walking deeper into Oak Town.
"I wonder what their problem was?" Dallas shrugged, walking in the opposite direction.
After a bit of a walk, he finally arrived back at the dorms, but instead of returning to Suicune Dorm, he walked further south of the dorms, not going too far east. He looked up at the sky, noticing the sun was getting lower.
"Edge, come on out please." Dallas called, taking Edge's ball from his waist and holding it out. With a brilliant light, Edge appeared.
'Pawn.' The pokemon called, looking up at his trainer.
"I wanted to go ahead and bring you out. Are you rested from earlier?" Dallas asked.
'Pawn.' The pokemon nodded.
They walked side by side, Edge's clanging as the walked. They passed the dorms and continued a bit south, cutting down to the southwest. They finally arrived in an area where pokemon could be seen scattered and dotting the open fields. Dallas wanted to train all three of his pokemon, but he knew he needed to focus on Edge for now. It was his newest pokemon and he didn't want it to fall behind. However, Dallas knew he needed to do some serious training with all of his pokemon. As he tried to decide what to battle, he heard the crackling sound of electricity. He turned to find the source of the sound. He was a black and white pokemon, it's mane glowing with electricity, charging right at him. Dallas jumped to the side, just narrowly avoiding collision.
"How come everything always goes after me!?" Dallas cried, pressing a button on his C-Gear. A hologram forming with stats and a picture of the pokemon who had just charged at him.
"Blitzle, the Electrified Pokémon. Blitzle catches electricity and stores it in its mane, which glows when the electricity is discharged." The C-Gear spoke.
"Hmm. You much be an electric type then. Ok." Dallas, pulled an empty ball from his pocket, "Edge, use scratch!"
And so the battle began. Edge charged at the Blitzle, scratching it across the body. The pokemon cried out and used a shock wave, doing average damage to the metal pokemon. Dallas commanded Edge to us X-Scissor and to his relief, Edge did it easily. The attack made contact, but Blitzle didn't stop. It let off a shock wave attack, which struck Edge, causing the pokemon to take a knee. Seeing that he needed to end the battle quickly, Dallas threw a poke ball at Blitzle. The ball sucked the black and white pokemon in, but it only shook once before the poke ball was split apart.
For a moment, Dallas was shocked. He had never seen a failed capture before and he wasn't sure what had happened. The Bliztle started charging again and Dallas was reacting.
'Pawniard!' Edge cried, snapping Dallas out of his shock just in time to see Blitzle getting ready for another Shock wave,
"Edge, Hidden Power!" Without hesitation, a massive wave of power that looked black or grey was sent across the field before the Bliztle could finish its attack. "Now fury cutter!" Again with no hesitation, Edge charged at the Blitzle that was sprawled out on the ground, unable to dodge, Edge unleashed a flurry of cuts. After Edge at jumped back, Dallas threw yet another poke ball. The ball absorbed the black and white pokemon again.
1... 2... 3... Ding!
Dallas cheered and Edge sat on the ground. Dallas set next to his pokemon, Blitzle in hand, he let the pokemon out and pulled a potion from his bag. He sprayed the pokemon who winced, but the cheered.
"What should I call you.... What about.... Volt?
'Blitz!' Volt cheered as best as it could. Dallas then gave a lemonade to Edge and Volt. Drinking one himself.
His thoughts wondered as he set with his new pokemon. It went back to the Ponyta that Jenna owned. He imagined them riding Ponyta and Blitzle together, maybe even Megami could get a similar pokemon, maybe a Skiddo? Or maybe a Mudbray? As he started thinking more about his friends, he realized his bag was lighter. "Oh crap!" Dallas yelled, causing both Edge and Volt to jump.
"I forgot about the egg!" Dallas cried.
Edge eyes went wide and blinked, Edge started slapping Dallas in the arms in anger.
"Alright alright! I know it was a mistake! Come on!" Dallas said.
He returned both Edge and Volt to their poke balls and ran back toward the dorm

Day 3 (The small details)
Well... he certainly couldn't come up with a way to make money right now. The battle from earlier certainly tired him and his team out. They all could use some well earned rest. Cyan decided to go back to his dormitory, Play some games and relax. His team, Lara in particular, seemed to particularly like the idea.
As he was leaving Oak town in direction of the Entei dormitory, He noticed a agitation in one of the bushes. As he came close to inspect it, a small head of a Pokemon appeared. Cyan immediately recognised the yellow face with a leaf over it, it was Sewaddle! They were very common back in Unova. The little critter seemed to be carrying something on it's mouth. It looked like a ring target, but made out of leaves. Cyan suddenly remembered, that on his first day on the island, He, Lara and Tesla went to train in the forest close to Oak Town. They used a target made of leaves and sticks to train Tesla's accuracy. However, the target disappeared on the middle of the training. All that was left behind were footprints. Footprints that happen to match the one's of a Sewaddle.
"Well, hmm, thank you... for being so kind to the point of returning this... hmm, see you around, OK?" Cyan definitely didn't know how to react to that. That target wasn't even supposed to be reusable anyway. But when cyan looked at the target, it looked like it wasn't used even once. In fact, it looked better than before.
As Cyan walked back, he noticed the Sewaddle was following him. Cyan tried walking faster, even sprinting, but the Sewaddle carried on. Right when Cyan was thinking of another way to stop the Sewaddle, A Spearow came crashing from above, looking for an easy meal. In this case, a fresh bug. That Spearow was being quite bold, going in like that when Cyan was nearby. He managed to scare away the Spearow, and fearing that more would come, he decided to let the Sewaddle follow him.
When Cyan got to the dormitory, the Sewaddle was still behind him. That's when Cyan attempted something he wouldn't do normally. He turned around and calmly threw his only Pokeball at the Sewaddle. 1... 2... 3... Ping! The Sewaddle was caught!

Dallas Yukira - Dorm Room
Dallas did not go to the Pokemon Center this time around. He had healed his pokemon up himself, mainly to avoid another scolding from Nurse Joy, but also because they weren't hurt that badly. He needed to get back to his form room as quick as possible.
He walked up the steps that lead to his room, as he cleared the stairs, he was surprised to see Jenna standing at his door in a black long sleeve and jogging pants, bare footed. She also held her camera in one hand as she waited, leaning against his door.
"Jenna?" Dallas called, as he made his way toward his dorm.
"Oh! There you are!" Jenna said, waving.
Within a second, the door near his opened as well and Meguma appeared from her dorm, "Jenna? Why are you here?" She asked.
"Oh Meguma. if I knew you had the dorm next to Dallas, I would have come in so I didn't look so out of place standing in the hall. People are too kind to nobodies here...." She said.
Dallas made it to his door and unlocked it, "Come on in."
He quickly walked over to his egg that was sitting on his desk, luckily it looked like it was still fine, but it was shaking more than normal. He placed his poke balls on his desk, "Come on out everyone."
As he did, all four pokeballs opened up and Blade, Freeze, Edge, and Volt appeared.
"Oh you have a Blitzle!" Jenna called, walking over to the black and white pokemon and petting it.
Meguma also entered his room and Turtwig let itself out. Right after, Jenna's pokemon also let themselves out. A Ponyta and Noibat and all the pokemon started to play with one another.
"Yeah I just caught it. I've been wanting to get a electric type for a while to try out a cooking method I read about not long ago. I also took a trip to Oak Town to get some TMs because my pokemon needed better moves after what happened today. Anyway, what did you want Jenna, I honestly wasn't expecting to see you again today." Dallas said.
"I knew you couldn't get enough of me." She winked, causing Dallas to blush, "But anyway, I think I found out the type of pokemon your egg is... well not the exact species, but the type. I know you wanted to prepared food for it, so after I took a shower, I started doing research on pokemon eggs."
"Really?" Dallas asked, taking a seat on at his desk, leaning into the computer on his desk.
"Yeah let me see..." She said, taking a seat on his bed. Meguma was busy looking at a book of cooking that he had placed on his shelf.
Dallas watched as she pulled a notepad from her pocket and started to go through it, "Ah here it is!"
"Dragon pokemon are sometimes known as aggressive pokemon. It takes a skilled trainer to train most dragon pokemon. Most dragon pokemon are associated with a blue or purple color. When studying their eggs, they will usually have patterns that match that pokemon. That being said, I think your pokemon is a Dragon type. The only other types usually are associated with blue are Ice and Water, but I think it would be obvious if your egg was a water type. The blue on your eggs is a bit paler and is almost a grey color...." Jenna said, looking up at Daltanix, here eyes set on something behind Dallas.
"Now now Dallas... two girls in your room? Really? Do I need to come over there and set you straight." A voice from behind him said, causing him to jump an causing Meguma to drop the book she was reading.
Dallas turned around in his chair, "Mom!"
"Hey honey!" She smiled and waved.
"I'm sorry... I didn't know you were on. My computer was muted so I didn't hear it ring or anything." He said.
"No problem. I just wanted to ask you about some things. Your friends can stay, but may I ask who they are?" She asked.
"Oh! My name is Jenna and my pokemon are Noibat and Ponyta." Jenna said, standing up and coming over to the computer.
"Umm... ummm. Umm.... My name is Meguma and Turtwig!" Meguma said so quickly that it was almost impossible to understand.
"Well nice meet you girls." Dallas' mom said.
"So what did you need mom." Dallas asked, Meguma and Jenna on his left and right as he set in the chair.
"I was just wondering about a few colors... you like icy blue and orange right?" She asked.
"Yeah, but why do you ask?" Dallas asked.
"I plan to make you some new winter clothing of course! Your birthday is soon and I need to get started on it!"
"Oh! Thanks mom! But is that really all you needed?" Dallas asked, a little surprised.
There was a long pause for a moment. After a few seconds, she finally spoke, "Well... there is one other thing.... Our stoves aren't working correctly and with the amount of orders we get every year at Halloween and with you and your father gone, I don't know if I can keep up. So I was wondering.... "Do you think I could borrow Blaze for a while? I know he is your first pokemon, but I really need some help. I promise to send him back once the holidays are over." Dallas' mother asked.
It was a gut punch. With out a fire type pokemon, he couldn't cook... not like he wanted to... but he wanted to help his mom out, "Yes. You can borrow Blaze... When do you need him?" Dallas asked.
"I'm sorry sweety, I know you need him to cook. If I didn't need him I wouldn't ask. But I do. And I probably need him probably mid October. I know you need him, but you have two girls that will help you out I think if you asked." His mother said.
"Yeah we will!" Jenna exclaimed
"Yes!" Meguma added.
"Ok, Mom. Oh! Edge, Volt! Come say hi!" Dallas said.
The Blitzle and Pawniard quickly came over to the PC.
'Paw pawn.' Edge waved.
'Blitzle!' Volt danced on its front legs.
"Oh look at those cuties!"
Him, his mother, Jenna and Meguma all talked for a little bit before his Mom finally let him go. They didn't tell her about the Malamar and the incident in Oak Town that he had had in his first day. He didn't want to worry her. Before she had hunt up, they asked Blaze if he wanted to go to Dallas' mother for a while, which the fire fox loved and agreed happily.
"Ok then! We will all team up and cook and I will cover it all! Also.... Halloween will be the day you two cook for me!" Jenna exclaimed.
"Alrighty! If we are going to cook together, we need to start getting ingredients now. We will split the money from our baking as best as we can." Dallas said.
"I have a few recipes as well that my family knows. I know them by heart!" Meguma exclaimed
"Ok! Let's do this then!" Dallas cheered.
And as much as he was happy right now, the though of losing Blaze in a few days was hurting even more. How was he going to cook for Jenna?
